  1. I've been training dual wielding for a couple of years now through my martial arts training ... So I'm getting the hang of it, but it's still so very difficult! all what Laozi said is true especially if you use two equally long swords .. you have to use a small and very balanced blade in your off-hand! and you have to use alot of spinning and swirling around to get the advantage of two attack points (if thats what you want, which it normally isn't) .. my main sword is about 85-90 cm (curved) and my offhand sword is about 30-40 cm (straight) .. the general idea is to use your second sword as a replace shield, with the occasional attack you can have with it, you use the off one for defence and parry and the main for attacks when you have locked the opponents with a parry! and the art of doing it involves alot of complicated stances! so when you start out you will be very stiff and rely heavily on your stances, which can really give you a disadvantage if your opponent knows them! but it only gets really f***** when you are fighting two people from each side!! I can't even imagine the skill it would require to do that properly without a great good deal of luck .. So yeah 213374U a high DEX modifier is a big requirement! as well as a high awarness! and definitely more feats spent on it .. and then only very few would use it! (since most wannabes would be killed off before they became any good at it! ) Maybe this discussion should've taken place back when it could've been a real suggestion instead ..
  2. and that would explain the fact that you would be a 5 year old adult how?
  3. Yes. I think they just stated that they'd be optional this time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh thank God! I never understood why they had these minigames in the first place .. they were badly done and totally irrelevant! and they should've used the time on more story related things imo! fortunately they were optional after Taris ..
  4. I havent fought with dual wield in real life but i imagine it require a great deal of cordination, focus, Discipline and agility to fight effectively with as opposed to single style. While some say they see no reason why dual wield/bladed should suffer for choosing that, it doesnt seem fair that single style require just as many feat and still is less effective than dual wield, I could understand this is dual was harder to master or cost more to attain, but i think its really single style that is punished for gaining less at same point cost. EDIT: maybe making single style possible to use like Bastard sword in AD&D, where you could choose to use it as either single or 2handed mode where 2handed mode inflict more dmg. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know if it requires dicipline (well maybe during training! ), but definitely concentration, agility and a good deal of perception (if figthing someone else)! maybe use 4-5 feats to master it fully .. because everyone proficient with a single blade has an advantage over you until you learn to control your every move very precisely! it takes alot of balance .. and while you can have more attacks, he can move faster and get you out of balance, and strike when you are at your weakest! that's my experiance at least ..
  5. Maybe they should've added the feat "ambidextrous" .. and you should only be able to use dual ligtsabers effectively if you have the feat! and it could cost 2 feast or something? I have been fencing for a while, and I'm not ambidextrous so I know how hard it is to use two swords .. VERY hard .. although Jedis do have the force to guide them! you automatically use the forms when using Lightsabers right? so naturally you must use a form, even if you wield a double or dual ligthsaber(s) .. Some could be restricted of course!
  6. + not to mention the fact that hes lvl 20 .. which is a mad thing in it's own right in the SW universe! I don't think there are alot of Mandalorians out there who could challenge him .. But I for one don't hope he is Mandalore! I never liked him that much, and would also like a new bunch of characters .. and if he would join you in TSL, you would have to explain why he's no longer lvl 20 (unless you can only have him in your party when your 20+) ..
  7. okay well let's get the fact straight then .. * Taris is in the Outer Rims, apperantly of no strategic value, and a dying world! * Taris has been under Sith control for a few months! * The Endar Spire seems to travel alone with Revan and Bastilla onboard. * The Endar Spire is supposedly ambushed, otherwise Bastilla would've used her Battle Meditation. * The frigate is under Jedi command, which means it's probably undetakin a mission from the Jedi Council. *It says somewhere that it was a small Jedi battlegroup trying to take on Malaks forces to stop his evil reign. (probably meaning trying to take on Malak personally) I can't remember if Malak was near Taris, or he came later when he heard that Bastilla was stranded!? because if he was "on" Taris, then perhaps the Jedis were scouting the Outer Rim, with Revan to try and discover what he and his apprentice had found back in the Mandalorian wars .. when they heard Malak was personally aboard a ship orbiting Taris, and without his fleet to protect him, they thought they could end the war there and then! just speculations ..
  8. I don't think you can get it where I live .. :D
  9. It's not really a matter of being persuasive .. just knowing what to say and when to say it! don't worry it's not that hard!
  10. no the Ithorians are the "hammerheads" the wierd aliens with the wierd voices .. edit: I don't think they would want those guys you mentioned (I can't remember what they are called) monitering the planet! I mean they are bloodthirsty, crazy, psychopathic .. evil .. mother******* .. they're bad ok!
  11. You guys should get your own apartments! that way noone wants to use your TV/PC ..
  12. Like I said, I think that this was the will of the force, I'm sure the council meditated a great deal on what they should do and this was the force showed them <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ok I thought you were just being a smartass stating the obvious! sorry ..
  13. that's why he's gone in TSL, hes still taking a dump! but, about my idea, couldn't it be because they wanted to take Revan out through the Outer Rims, to "ignite" some of his lost memories, in an kinda controlable enviroment? so they had some kind of idea what Malak and him found and why they turned evil .. and possibly where!?
  14. I don't know the SW universe good enough to say what their possible destination could be! But yes it seems strange to bring along Revan and Bastilla unless it was an attempt to have Revan reveal something while travelling the Outer Rims .. That way it would make more sense to travel in a single ship to avoid attention, and bring along a few Jedis if any trouble should arise! and perhaps the Counsel already knew of the bond Revan and Bastilla shared, which would allow Bastilla to tap into Revans unconcious mind! just a thought ..
  15. do we know how many ships attended the convoy before being attacked? an perhaps they were on their way to somewhere else!?
  16. good reasons .. Especially the couch argument, you can really hurt your back doing an all-niter on the PC! :D and to Silversun, I don't really think about grapics either, my favorite games are the Civilization series .. but I know some Xboxers who claim that they have better graphics so that was why I included it.. (ps how come you have "a flah of Silver and it's over" instead of a lvl number?) okay well that gives me a little more insight into your strange world of couch sitting and console playing .. much appreciated!
  17. I always found massmurder to help wonders in face of adversity!
  18. to all console owners: I never understood why anyone wanted to play on consoles .. (not attempting to flame here don't worry) I'm just wondering .. Why do you think makes a XBox or PS2s etc better than PC's? imo you can do alot more with a PC, you can even get the controllers if thats what you want .. and it's not the graphics, because they are better on a PC, and you can plug your PC to the television if you want a 60 inches widescreen view .. So why? edit: besides from getting games earlier! which is a good point I guess ..
  19. I even thought lvl 20 was a little excessive .. I would've been happy with a lvl 15 restriction on KOTOR 1 and then lvl 20 in TSL .. imo going lvl 20+ is just too unrealistic in a SW perspective!
  20. and thereby you indirectly say you are incredible yourself by agreeing with me .. sneaky bastard .. hehe
  21. hey what happened to your "good point" remark?? but yes, that is an important part of SW to have ordinary people rise up .. But in the Exar story it wouldn't really fit in, which imo (and yours it seems) just shows he was too powerful for his own good (and because of bad writing).. and having Exar killed/defeated/captured by a commoner would really seem a little too much like the writer would be trying to make a point of how normal people can defeat god-like beings as well! the wrote him too powerful to be defeated any other way than 20.000 jedis .. to the writer: and that just shows that you should be a little careful and remember the word "moderation"!
  22. God I hope that never happens .. I like having all my games on one machine instead of spending thousands of different consoles .. and unless they make the consoles upgradeable I don't really see a future for them taking over the entire gaming industry!
  23. yeah I never really used the scripts neither .. I found it just as easy to control all of them myself! and I felt I had alot better control of the action ..
  24. yeah the day consoles become obsolete! muhahahaha hell I still have my good old Nintendo from the old days, so I guess that'll never happen ..
