And what of the many many muslim minorities who are living in peace with their neighbours? You know.. The majority? Like those select minorities of Germans, Scandis. Unlike the groups I was refering to.. We've forgotten those troublemakersprecisely because they were a select few. This is something we should discuss, I agree completly - the issue I have is when media and many of those voicing concerns try to slip in a general implicit bigotry towards the majority based on the actions of a minority. I'd love to discuss what should be done, but we need to lose the implicit 'with those muslims'. And we need to lose that because a discussion with implied and unchallenged bigotry becomes an implied fact for a less critical audience, which we all are or were.. This is why we're still having problems with homophobia and racism and will continue to have so.. Because we start assuming that a race or culture is explicilty and naturally X (insert base human deficiency), simply because of repitition. We need to stop doing that, because we alienate the majority of that group - who of course also harbours prejudice against us, that they feel are being validated. Creating the seeds of a counter-minority culture. So yeah, we need to figure out WHY this is happening (and no, it's not because they are muslims, or men, or right handed).. And then how to deal with it. But based on actual facts and not just gut assumptions based on fear. Edit: An ample example here was when a newspaper decided to run a story on what the likehood of random person being crminal was based on his name. They decided to only showcase foreign names and neglected to mention that the top names... were ethnic Danish. Even when accounting for percentage. That **** is dangerous...

'Were' being an interesting word here, isn't it? Point is Scandinavians, Germans, Irish, Scots, Spaniards, Indians and so on and on and on... All 'were' such a" problem". If this was the 3rd century we would be lamenting those filthy Gauls. 1950? Damn negros rape and murder and will never amount to anything good. It's almost depressing how little the rethoric changes..

True, it was obviously made more from a technical point of view - sort of like extreme heavy lifting, not that interesting for the average laymen other than the obvious physical feat, but an impressive technical achievement. More done to say "I could"...

I generally agree with this, the problem imo however is mainly that public speakers and especially people on social media, are utterly incapable of speaking without deep implicit racial stereotypes - which absolutely needs to be adressed, even if their other points are valid.

I agree we need to adress it and refusing single men from coming in en masse might well be a good idea.

And as someone has aptly said in the discussion in my country - if you only worry about crime when the perpetrator is muslim, you're not really worrying about crime.

Drowsey, they're probably also right handed all of them, they were groping women after all with thise filthy right hands. Now I realize you've stared yourself blind on this issue, but just because there is a correlation it doesn't equal causation. Islam is a religion, not a rape-mindset and you're deliberately misrepresenting the fact. Now here's a strange coincidence: http://cphpost.dk/news14/news-news14/muslim-community-cleans-up-after-new-years-eve.html Muslims cleaned up Copenhagen after New Year (and no one was raped in the process). Shocking I know.. Guessing they are closet Christians? No, you know what the cause was? Young idiots from a culture that hasn't taught them proper restraint, let loose without thought (something that we also see in India, with Hindus)... A failure of government, parents and authorites in general - as well as a failing of their morals.

I like the fact that you guys are already demonizing anyone who might have a counter argument as "Islamic apologist" or "regressive".. Word to the wise, such rethorical devices ring pretty hollow when you're this obvious with your agenda. Now I agree with Trudeau, in that young single men from basically any under educated, heavily male oriented, sexually repressed society is, without heavy reeducation, ill suited for this hemesphere. I just think that Islam is fairly irrelevant (and misdirecting) in this discussion. Unless you think it is religiously motivated or somehow you become a rapist if you convert? If so, I'd love to see the data to prove it.

Argh, purple hair broke her foot and needs corrective surgery (otherwise not serious), so our moving in has been halted a little, on top of that our lease is apperantly not in order and we need paperwork done in 2 parts of town with her signature, which is hard when immobile.. With exams looming overhead as well. Interestingly she was admitted on same day asmy little trip to the hospital (with mengitis) a year ago.. Wonder what'll happen next year?

Games you want that'll likely never exist
Rosbjerg replied to Barothmuk's topic in Computer and Console
A game that's popular and hosts like minded, friendly and/or competent and engaged multiplayer. Somehow it's either one of the two. That or a modern Space Station 13 -
Yeah 1/1/16 (or 1/1/16 for your heathen Americans) has been a pretty chill day so far. I didn't get particularly drunk last night (though not for a lack of trying) as the dinner we made was so solid that I was still pretty full around noon today. Then we ended up crashing a party of young university students, while our girlfriends stayed home (by choice), where we promptly discovered that we are indeed not so young anymore... and that young girls are actually not terribly interesting to talk to, although still of course quite pretty to look at.

Rosbjerg replied to Rooz's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
As I've said earlier it boils down to whether you think player agency or game consistency is paramount And nothing wrong with that, but from personal experience and watching the effect of radically increased player agency focus on game series, from Total War to Fallout - I would prefer if this 'part of the woods' stayed clear of that. And argue that this is something you might want, but that kinda design mentality severly cheapen the experience for the kind of player who enjoys game consistency. Also this kind of customization does not traditionally belong in this genre, so you're not being cheated from a feature... In the same way that you are not being cheated in an RTS game when you can't radically alter your faction on a whim. -
Lore wise I don't think they ever intended for them to be particularly secretive, what with the giant fortress and all. But rather a political movement using high profile assassinations.

I'd hand Game of The Year to GTA V, one of the best games I've ever played. Looking forward to Witcher3 though, by the sound of it.

This is not a blog, it's a forum. As such opinions will differ and be discussed, not merely presented. The counter argument could be that I have paid just the same and adding "features" that many find irrelevant would take away development time from features I would like to see included.. Hence this discussion. Which is a good and healthy way to express disagreement if you ask me, we have after all been discussing it fairly civilized (and be more than welcome to report posts you feel violate forum guidelines) In fact, I'd like to ask you to tone down the rhetoric. Calling people asinine and self centered, simply for disagreeing with you, is incidentally very much against the board rules. -
What would you do if you had unlimited time and money?
Rosbjerg replied to Heijoushin's topic in Way Off-Topic
Slowly move mankind towards a post materiel / cornucopian society. Where people can have micro breweries, animals shelters, Intelligence agencies or whatever makes them happy. Then explore the universe for the remainder of eternity. -
It's a massive improvement, if the dialoge could be reset (and why on Earth cant you ask the same questions anymore?).. Simply because stuff like that happens and - seriously that's hilarious.

They don't see it as a mistake?

It's not though, rather a case of poor information relayed to the player. You need to figure out the game yourself unfortunately, but when you do these things are effectively eliminated unless your concentration lapses.
