  1. Old Thread here. and WoD breaking the news:
  2. Would you look at that, thread is too long as well, so might as well make a new one for launch. New one here.
  3. They really can't, the hype train has entered orbit and even if this game turns out to be the second coming of Christ I'm sure the backers are gonna get disappointed. I foresee internet gaming riots in the months following release.
  4. Yeah, the Director's Cut just got released.. It looks a lot better too, thank god. Looking forward to trying it out when I finish some of the other backlog games.
  5. Just got back from seeing it myself and I'm glad Scott focused a lot on the visual and audio aspects - complimentary to what a book has to offer, really showcasing the vast landscapes and isolation. All too often a movie tries to do it better than books (and fail) instead of sticking to what they do best. Great movie.
  6. I can recommend Xenonauts, for those who like Xcom and haven't tried it yet.
  7. So wait, their logo is an hour glass of the Earth seeping into their hands... Well that's not omnious as all.
  8. Trees? but yeah, they've really stuck to that gameplay idea ever since Assassins Creed.
  9. Realized Tremor 5 just got released on video today! Man I hate to love those movies.. or is it the other way around.
  10. Continued from here. Last posts: No. Just that whatever one may think of the refugees it's an obvious potential easy doorway for terrorists.
  11. Closed due to length, continued here.
  12. Old thread here: For the uninitiated: The 'Gamergate' controversy was sparked in early 2013, as the release of Zoe Quinn's "Depression Quest" was criticized from gamers who believed that the game had received a suspicious amount of attention in relation to it's quality and scope. Eron Gjoni (Zoe's ex boyfriend) wrote a blogpost accusing Quinn of having had an affair with Kotaku journalist Grayson, prompting the critics to conclude that the attention and success of "Depression Quest" was due in part to unfair bias and nepotism in the industry. Several articles from both sides of the issue has highlighted inconsistencies in the stories of both Grayson, Quinn and Eron as well as the many other examples that have followed. Gamergate is wideley seen in the public, as a culture war over the diversification of gaming, artistic recognition and social criticism of video games and the gamer social identity. For the posters in this thread: Many bloggers and populists have tried to steer the discussion into areas they feel are the underlying issue - ranging from simple bias, to widespread misogny or misandry. I would however prefer that we keep this discussion as objective and clean as possible and so I will be keeping an a extra close eye on this thread. This certainly does not mean that you may not discuss any issue you feel, but rather that you should be thoughtful of how you discuss it with those you disagree with. 13. Closed due to length. Continued here.
  14. Old thread here. New posts: Gaming OCD almost ruined AssCreed: Black Flag for me. I thoroughly liked that game for about 40 hours, but my desire to collect every one of the useless knickknacks combined with Ubisoft's raging boner for making players climb towers got me heavily burnt out on the game. I wound up taking a 2-3 week break then powered through the final part. Well, I am also positive on gaming OCD... That's why I still play the DAMNED!!! Star Ocean 4. It's soon freaking 5 years when I started to play the game, and I still feel deep burn in my soul, that it is not finished until I get the damn Platinum Trophy... Thankfully the hardest and the most time consuming part is already behind me, but the Chaos Difficulty, which still awaits me, is pretty hard as well :-/
  15. Closed due to length, new thread here.
  16. Far Cry Primal announced.
  17. With english subtitles available. How I imagine Woldan dealing with the future crisis of hitting his body building potential.
  18. Ah well, at least it's only one hub you have to redo, hope it works for you next time.
  19. He is love, he is life!
  20. Everyone's an idiot when you're starving, afraid and sleep deprived. That one guy though...
  21. Same and it really is the biggest hiccup for your average male player I think - that and one of the support characters is mindbogglingly stupid. But the overall story is worth the play through, if only to see some kind of closure for her and one from the old cast.
  22. You should, not quite as strong as Season 1, but still quite good.. and more grim.
