funny for a "heathen" to be called something that derives from Gabriel .. ^_^ but since my name is Kristian I probably shouldn't point fingers! middlenane - Rosbjerg (what everyone I know calls me, except family of course) lastname - Jensen - a little history lesson here - if you see a name like Hansen, Jensen, Thorsen etc .. it's almost certainly from Scandinavia or Iceland. The name also has a meaning, Jensen = son of Jens or Jens's son .. I'm 21 and my birthday falls on the 23rd of June (known as Skt Hans Aften here) where a nationalwide celebration takes place (unfortunatly not about me) involving burning alot of witches (made of straw) and eating alot of food .. so fires are lit all around Denmark on my birthday, I guess that explains my egomania! I love to read, mostly philosophy or psychology! or books about the most wicked parts of human nature! some favorite writers and books: Fyodor Dostoevsky - Crime and Punishment Franz Kafka - The Trial in particular, but I've also enjoyed many of his other short stories or novels.. Aldous Huxley - Ape and Essence, Brave New World, Island and I'm a big fan of Charlie Kaufmann - Being John Malkovich, Human Nature, Adaptation, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I pretty much myself on these boards, so I think you have a good idea about me as a person ... I'm so vain! haha :D

I'm a bit ambivalent towards this whole ordeal .. on one hand I understand the decision, but on the other I feel they went to far when they killed him! of course this is also easy to say when we now know they killed an innocent man and not a terrorist! I don't like guns, but I see they are necessary for those who enforce the law, but alternatives should always be tried before you resort to lethal force! I just wish they had been more careful .. and I think most people here, although I know you are kidding, are being a little insensitive when you say "good riddance - what an idiot" .. the guy was mentally unstable, I don't think he chose to mess around with such a serious matter which resultet in his unfortunate untimely end!

A good veggie is an eaten veggie I tell you!!

a good post Azarkon ... but it still doesn't account for the fact that, say the now living German population, is any way responsible for the actions of those who came before them! if they still allowed the said doctrines and political views to be present in their modern society they would be guilty of ignorance and stupidity! but never the consequences of a former regime.. It's not my responsibility or fault if my grandfather was a massmurderer, but it's my fault if I fall down a similar path, or allow my brother or other living relative to do the same (if I knew they where about too)! it's the responsibilty of a modern nation, and it's inhabitans, not to make the same mistakes as their ancestors!
