That's a good thing Walsh, using resources to connect human beings are well spend resources .. instead they would probably go to weapon manufacturing or some other wasteful endeavor.

But the fractional reserve system they put in place when the removed the gold standard is one of the main reasons why banks have become so horribly powerful - I'm not sure where I stand on this issue, but the current system won't work in the long run, money supply (and thereby debt) is growing exponentially.. It was a idea that worked great when we thought resources were practically infinite, they aren't and a continual growth spurred on by this monetary system will be disastrous in the long run.

About their age, we have to remember that people in a medieval setting would to us, look a lot older than they are.. I was looking at pictures the from the American civil war the other day and people in the late 30's looked 50-60'ish by todays standards.. Now I can only imagine that this would be even more prominent when we go back to the 12-13th century (which seems to be the technology era Game of Thrones takes place).

I think he was referring to masochists, suicides, cutters etc that we have a lot of here in the west - and that doing it for a religious purpose is not worse than doing it for a sexual one.

I'm tired of being sick.. Ever since I came back from Japan I've had a cold which has decided to develop into asthmatic bronchitis.. I almost suffocated today because my air ways decided they didn't like me coughing.. Luckily my roommate has a spare inhilator .. this sucks..

Sex offenders banned from online gaming. The comments are interesting, apparently you can be put on the sex offender list for peeing in public? Seems a bit harsh to take away people's right to play a game because of that.

I've used nude mods for all of Bethesda's games, it just feels more true in a sense for me that characters can be naked. I couldn't explain why my character having the ability to be naked is important, it just is - mostly I think because here in Denmark nudity is everywhere and the modesty in foreign games and films seems so artificial to me.

The first Shogun TW game spurred my interest in late medival Japan. And especially the Europa Universalis series have made me look up historical periods and people.
