Yeah DMI had a somewhat creative one. http://www.dmi.dk/dmi/galaksen_giver_gratis_stroem_om_20_aar for non-scandinavians; Basically that the black hole in the Andromeda galaxy will spew out a huge wave of materials similar to solar winds that can be harvested, nights will be illuminated but we'll have free energy for as long as it lasts.

So what are the medias most outrages stories from your corner of the world?

Nepethe posted an image of Sartre, which I must admit confused me as well.. perhaps to say "existence precedes essence"? The other post I imagine was more of an reaction shot which tries to ridicule your argument - I interpret the picture as Virumor disagreeing with your premise and implicitly argues that since a good game is obviously good, then that should really be enough - if everything is excellent then everything looses it's value.

I've gradually lost interest in Max Payne 3 .. They aren't playing to the series strengths, it looks like they made the gameplay much better than the previous games, but the story, which was delightfully silly and serious at the same time, now just seems kinda bland. It'll be like making a Serious Sam game that suddenly deep and emotional with adequate shooting mechanics..

I don't remember Bethesda ever claiming that the ending(s) would be deep and meaningful - and so gamers didn't really get their panties in a twist and those that did where mostly placated by Broken Steel.. The problem here is that people obviously felt BioWare had made a promise that they didn't keep, now we can argue that people shouldn't believe in hype and hyperbole (and I would agree), but I also hope that companies learn that when you say you are gonna do something and then do the opposite, then there's gonna be a reaction. In a way this is really a compliment to BioWare, obviously they made a game that people loved and felt engaged in - to see so many rally behind donating money to charity and sending cakes and what not to me, signifies to me that most of the players are giving constructive feedback and criticism to a company who made a game series they love.

Well there's only really one map (Camp Gibraltar) with multiple choke points where that happens.. same in BF3 (metro).. in all the other maps there's always a way around.

I've personally campaigned for everyone I know to buy Battlefield 2142, but some of my friends are not that good at competitive FPSs and the fact that they'll die every 3 seconds for the first few hours until they learn how to duck, is usually a detergent for them. Good suggestion though.. It seems coop has taken a back burner since MP became the new thing.. There are games that have it, but it's almost always only 2-4 players, which stinks 'cause we are 6 friends who like to play together and 4 of them don't like huge MP games. Well except strategy games of course, like StarCraft.. hmm..

Looking for a new game.. does anyone know a good 5+ player coop or multiplayer game? Preferably some unknown but solid indie game. Yeah it is a very good game..

Today I came to a troubling realization.. haven't partied for more than year, me and my gf had 3 couples over for dinner the other night - I spend more time reading than listening to new music / seeing films and I was at a quiz-night at a local center with some friends (on a saturday evening) instead of drinking till my vision dimmed. My god, have I really gotten this old?

I have to say I think ME3 was the best in the series, the first and last 10 minutes were pretty bad, but everything in between was actually very good .. I always kinda expected the game series to go further towards interactive movie than roleplaying game so in that sense I was pleased rather than annoyed at the very streamlined gameplay. My only beef with the ending is similar to a lot of people here, in that it lacked closure and seemed more like a haphazard 'throwing-togehter-something-epic'.. but I had the same problem with Kotor 2 and I still consider that a much better game than the first. So I can live with a mediocre finale.. I look forward to seeing what BioWare churns out next though, if they are considering altering or adding to the ending.

Are you overweight because you're simply tired?

Thank you captain obvious.. First paragraph of the link. "On average volunteers consumed 549 more calories when they were deprived of an hour and 20 minutes' sleep a night - the equivalent of having a hamburger and chips." -
^ see I know something was up with that group - they just seemed a little too ... "shiny" ..

haha that's hilarious.. a similar thing happened to me in Kyoto although I think he actually was trying to come on to me.. :D

It's a good idea in my opinion, but they should've paid them more than 20$.. as on of the comments mention the minimum wage is 7.25$ and if they work for more than 3 hours (which I imagine that they do) then they are basically exploiting cheap labor by branding it as an marketing awareness stunt - even if that was not their intent others might get "inspired".

I don't have any experience with hybrids, but I fear that, as with any new technology, mixing old and new rarely works as well as intended. Full on SSD is really great though, I have Win7 on a 60gb hdd which works like a charm.. I would go full SSD if I was you, I think it's worth every penny.

I went off on my own to see Kyoto and all it's temples and shrines.. I was there for 3 days and have now returned to Hamamastu. Tokyo tomorrow and then back to Denmark. Here are some pictures.. they are taken with a mobile phone, which is why they are so pale and colourless.. I'll have to do some retouches when I get back.

My brother's phone - guess he was using some filter to make it look antique or something

If you are doing the Stormcloak questline is does make sense..

I haven't seen a Ninja show, but they do Samurai reenactments. People dress up like warlords, peasents and Samurai and duke it out with spears and sword (sharp ones in some cases) - but they do it slow-mo, which is cool cause you can see the moves.

Playing Shogun 2 finally paid off - I was able to have good discussion with a japenese shop keeper (selling replica Samurai gear) about the Sengoku period.. My family thought I was a selftaught expert on the matter afterwards.. heh.. Also I saw Sunpu Castle today ("retirement home of Shogun Tokugawa) - otherwise I'm chillin' in Hamamatsu.. Japan is pretty cool.

day 2 in japan.. No samurais yet.. Still looking..

Doesn't really make a difference as far as I could tell (endgame wise) - or are you hunting a specific achievement?
