    Egypt

Interesting question.. But I think it's more than that, Egypt has since the 1880's developed a more and more distinct (and often western'ish) culture, ranging from liberalism to Nasserism/Arab Socialism. Religion is simply the only thing the opposition had in common during the dictator years, but now they're in power it's not going to take much of a push before the brotherhood splinters into several smaller factions. They've never had power since their inception in the '20s and their political platform has only recently been established - and that's starting to show as it's about as vague as centrist trying to talk to both right and left wingers at the same time
  2. Staying at my parents back out in the rural parts of Denmark, which is both nice and extremely boring. Luckily I have to study, so that's a perfect excuse to pass the time.. I hope all of you have a lovely time, no matter where you are and what you do! and a very merry Christmas / Glædelig Jul.
  3. You only seem to focus on the effect (bold) while you should be looking at the cause (underlined).. Imagine if the teacher had a network and tools at his/her disposal that could've helped this individual.. No you're right, it's easier to just get gun traning and shoot the kids we neglect when they try to get back at us.
  4. Of course it is, but then again - to truely prevent anything the culture must dismiss and disallow it (smoking habits only really started to go.down when everyone thought it was disgusting and dissaproved it). If your pop-culture glorifies violence, which is my impression, then you'll see more violence. Now, of course everyone dissaproves of this - I know.. but I hope you get my meaning. My point is just, if you are unwilling to truely look at why this happens, you'll never be able to stop it effectively (and maybe you are, I'm not American so this is just my view from the outside).
  5. Whenever something like this happens I always see news spots about gun control, the parent are to blame, the kid was ****ed, etc etc.. Never "does our culture somehow breed this behaviour?" "Why do we have so many shootings, could we as a society be doing something wrong".. It's, from my point of view, always focused on the regional or laws. Maybe it's just easier to dismiss when it's such a huge country, but I would never blame gun control or lack thereof, if people started going crazy here - I would naturally assume that something in our culture was leading instable kids to the conclusion that murder was the only way out. Espeically if was this frequent. As for better sources on school shootings.. To be fair we would need to compare all kinds of violence in schools, from knife attacks and shootings to regular beatings - and then see if America has a higher frequency. I'll have better time wednesday, so I'll try to see if I can find some articles about it.
  6. Wouldn't it be more interesting to see why it is that when American kids go crazy they kill dozen of their friends or strangers - while when a European kid goes crazy it rarely produces this kind of response (remember 700 million in Europe and we've had 19 in total since 1913, I don't even want to count yours).. How come your culture produces this and how can you prevent it. Just like Norway and the rest of Scandinavia is looking into how we can prevent something like Breivik again and what was wrong with our handling of extreme political opinions etc etc. I get the sense that Americans seem very afraid to admit that something might be wrong with their system when things go wrong.
  7. I do, but apperantly only because I preordered. If you buy anything in the cartel you also get it.
  8. True, as long as you are not doing it out of spite? - cause that'll bite you in the ass later. Aside from the pain yeah - the main problem is it's giving me horrible posture, so now my back is starting to hurt too. Vicious cycle. Boobplate? haha, I don't even know what that is.. But no, we were doing wrestling and the two of us tried to use our entire weight to force the other guy down when his shoulder impacted my chest with the full force of 2 guys, blew me right off the floor.
  9. That's something that's always bothered me, but I can actually understand .. I think it's a natural effect of racism/discrimination in general, when you've been classified according to your race and/or culture and you then build a social and cultural identity based on being proud of it, it's gonna fill your world view. You see the same thing in cultural subgroups who proclaim to be more openminded than the norm, but in reality shuns the majorities culture as that act reinforces their own cultural awarness and feeling of belonging.. If that makes sense?
  10. Bruised my Sternum (chest bone) in a mock fight yesterday at training.. Boy that **** hurts!
  11. I'm on the Progenitor RP server for Europe.. But I'll only be playing again after mid January.
  12. Really? Because it's my understanding that in every single country in the world, copyright infringement is explicitly not theft. That's why "copyright infringement" and "theft" are two different crimes. Well (and I'm guessing here) if you download a copy that you don't own and then share it, isn't it technically theft and then copyright infringement. If you however own a copy and then share it, then it's only CF.
  13. Haha, love this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRPsFwQSpEc
  14. Been listening to this all day while training.. It's some good s***!
  15. Blood sausage, right Ywerion? That's actually pretty tasty, I used to love that as a child.
  16. There are several.. Like "Call of Warhammer"
  17. Ironically the most disgusting thing I've ever tried was actually rather ordinary. It just looked so.. unappetizing. Boiled (or seared in some cases) sheep head. A traditional Icelandic dish.
  18. Yeah bison meat is delicious, have you tried Antelope? It's like cross between deer and bison.. Seriously the best meat I've ever eaten in my life. If you're ever in Kenya and want to try exotic meat .. go here.. Canivore. In one night there I tried, water buffalo, camel, ostrich, antelope, alligator and Zebra I think.
  19. I'd have no moral objection eating any of those, I just don't like the taste of most predator meats or reptiles (tried crocodile and gecko so far).. But I've never tried cat, I imagine it tastes sour though. Rats and pigeons are fairly tasty though, but I would only eat those that live in the wild, they are both quite disease ridden when found near humans.
  20. They are.. You need to take the skill "first aid" and then you can heal 2 without medicine.
  21. Started training Taekwondo again (it's been 10 years), but not only was I horribly out of shape compared to the other guys - I was also the highest ranking belt, which meant I had to lead all the time - it's tradition. Slightly emberrasing, but it was fun.
  22. What cats do when we let 'em out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC179QpCS3I
  23. I'd be happy to take Victoria 2 off your hands. Never got around to try it, but always wanted.
  24. Some places get cleared while others, like roads have respawns.. So far its nowhere near as retarted as the 2nd game.
