  1. You know Calax, if you find that people around you are talking down to you, or that you have to justify yourself - try watching this video - it might be because you are taking the wrong role in your interactions. It really helped me to be aware of some issues I had. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKNyFSLJy6o

It's not true - found about 3 websites selling and/or promoting balalaikas in the US in a matter of minutes and only one website mentioning a ban (which was incidentally a russian blog) sooo.. - I'm not usually a big fan of folkish music, but I started listening to First Aid Kit and I really dig it.. I'm usually a pretty exclusive rock and electronics fan, so this is an interesting deviation
  3. Wow, you know it's good night when you are just grinning like a fool because you remember random stuff.. But I had no idea I was in here writing when I came home. Although I do imagine she found it a bit perplexing heh. Hey, I was in the same place as you man, broke up with my gf in november. It takes a little while, but you'll get over it - hang out with friends and just try to have a good time about it.
  4. It's 5:45 AM here.. a cute girl is wondering why I'm on this website and sharing this - just thought I would! Sleep tight guys and remember to live while you have the chance.. Also I'm slightly under the influence.
  5. Saw Ruby Sparks.. pleasently surprised and a very good film - also saw the entire Firefly series for the first time. Much better than I had thought it would be, which is pretty cool as everyone I know, who has seen it, has been hyping it for the better part of 5 years.

Chet Faker with his version of Blackstreet Boys - No Diggity..
  7. Hmm, right you are.. I just looked at what 2x2TB SSD would cost here instead of calculating what 16x256gb would cost.
  8. We are told that, here in Denmark and northern Europe - but if you talk to people not of European descent out in the world, most can't drink more than a glass of milk without getting stomach ache, but of couse some can like Labadal. My last girlfriend was of Jewish ancestry and she couldn't digest milk.. I think most of us in the west are simply lactose tolerant and the rest aren't to the same degree. Just go to France, the don't drink nearly the same amount of milk we do in England or the Nordic countries. And when I lived in Paris people would often remark that they had stomach cramps if they drank as much as I did, which was about a pint a day. Found some soruces on it.. These are people who can't digest milk.. "The frequency of decreased lactase activity ranges from 5% in northern Europe through 71% for Sicily to more than 90% in some African and Asian countries" Link That's most likely the cause then.. Which is why, if you work out, you should often measure your fat percentage and/or your waist/arm/leg circumference and not just relay on the weight. That way you see the actual results and don't get discouraged when you aren't losing weight.
  9. Are you working out in the mean time? Because you might be losing fat and gaining muscle you know.
  10. Depends on who you talk to, some paleo people are ok with it some aren't - I think it's generally only northern Europeans (or those of that descent) that can fully digest milk, the people I know of Middle Eastern origins generally don't drink or consume that many diary products and especially not raw milk.. If it's off the table and it comes to that special ice craving however, you just put frozen berries in a blender with some almond milk and you've got the best ice icream you've ever tasted. And I'm a huge ice cream fan too.
  11. Yeah wheat is especially toxic in the amount we usually eat it - wheat was one of the first things I tried to cut off and after a few weeks I suddenly felt a lot less 'swollen' and I lost almost 10lb too. Of course I've been eating seriously unhealthy for years, so I'm bound to feel the effects a lot more pronounced "The decent method you follow is better than the perfect method you quit." If you want to cut down on it instead of letting go, that's an option too.. but once you start changing your diet you realize that it's more habit and dependency rather than preference (in most cases).
  12. Yeah, I thought it was pretty well known. But I just really like this "diet" because it's the kind of food I like.. I can however seriously recommend cutting away diary and refined sugar.. Milk screws with your skin big time (mine at least).
  13. Week 3 of Paleo eating, non-smoking and serious workout.. This is actually having a major impact! I love it. Does anyone eat paleo here? - if so, do you know any good breakfast recipies? (except scrambled eggs)
  14. That would cost you about .. oh I don't know.. 100,000$ give or take..
  15. Man sorry to hear that WD, I know how you feel - lost my Dad too a while back. Hang in there buddy and don't drown yourself in booze or staying up late, celebrate his life and remember the great times.
  16. Yeah I'm Danish, if you want a wild party in Sweden you need to find Mkreku. The bar is called Sin City and you'll find it in what's known as Meat City. The girls in there are not your average Scandinavians though - these are dark haired, tatooed, pierced and with a bad attitude.. gotta love it. But yeah, if you start yelling my name in a bar I'm at, I promise I won't ignore you.
  17. Max Payne 3.. Pleasently surprised, they've handled to gun mechanics very well and it feels like the old games - I miss the noir, but it's ok. A good game.
  18. This makes so much sense..
  19. I want Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption ported to PC.. sigh..
  20. Go for the pole dancing party next time, when the girls get drunk they get competitive, it's great fun. But that sounds like a good party you had none the less.
  21. I wish I could go into details, but seeing as this is a family board I can only give you the PG version.. I had been talking to 2 girls for a few minutes, when one of the confessed she loved poledancing, luckily for me there was a stage and a pole nearby, so I pulled them up there and started dancing with them egging them to dance together and use the pole - 5 minutes later we had a show going. Then this Swedish girl comes up and ask for lessons, so I ask one of my new friends to show her the ropes me and the other girl judge her progress. She was a quick learner, but then again most Swedish girls are.. long story short, I decided to go for the Swede and had a blast of an evening. NY as in New York I assume.. How is that city during New Year? It has to be pretty crazy.
  22. Happy New Year guys - I had the most ****ing legendary New Years ever, I wish I could've shared it with you. In bar called Sin City and it really.. really.. lived up to it's name. Let's share some stories here, what is the funniest thing that happened to you either on New Years Eve or in 2012 in general?
  23. Happy New Years Eve everyone - I have a feeling this night is gonna get legendary.. Do you mean a new direction in a bad way in your case? Because it kinda did fall apart, but that's not always a bad thing.. And Orogun01, you are actually pretty close.
  24. Had one of those WTF moments where things just kinda comes together - and you just know that after this, your life just took a very different direction.
