Wrong thread - 'tis the hazard of writing at 2am. I have however been playing a little EU3, got the complete game free with the paradox newsletter.

Had a long day and now I'm doing the obligatory soul searching at 2am (the good kind).. with a glass of scotch, a great view from the 7th floor and a quiet buzzing of light and lethargic movements of a city that should be sleeping.. Cheers everyone, hope your days are filled with things that make you happy too.

Yeah saw that too, it's not a great sign when a big title is 66% of only 2 months after release. I'd be pretty pissed if I had bought it a few weeks ago.

The free weekend of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.. Quite fun actually! Of course that might only be because I'm good at it for some reason..

Closed due to length, new topic here.

Old thread here. Cerberus and their "manpower" actually get a fairly cool explanation down the road. It's just a pity that it doesn't get teased at all, in fact the opposite: everybody seems to think that Cerberus having that type of ability is perfectly normal. US military is actually fairly unique in the sense that "marines" aren't simply a part of the navy. Shep is definitely a marine, just in a a military of that type.

Woops - yes it does! But we're getting older man.. you know how it is.. Continued here.

Old Thread. Carry on.

Interesting guys. Cool, so you're gonna do running I suppose? You should keep us posted to motivate yourself - it would be pretty awesome if you lost those 35+ As a sidenote I'm 181cm and I weigh 76kg now.. Went down from 84 since start december - which is really starting to show. Diet (low carb) and exercise. This might be useful then. I can't afford training equipment either so I'm using my own body as the weight or like you I improvise.

That was hilarious - but I love their other sketc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx16GBGO8Oo

Ok, so I've been training for a while now, mostly martial arts and some pushups etc at home - but to be completly honest I have no idea what I'm doing half of the time. I don't know what works, although it does seem to have had an effect. So, do you guys have any experience? A set you used to do that worked wonders for you - or maybe you joined crossfit/fitness/aerobics/etc and it was great.. Whatever it is, share you story and let's inspire each other to get into shape

It's the carbs more than the general food intake I think.. American (well western) food in general has a huge amounts carbohydrates. The low carb diet / Paleo thing is sweeping Denmark, so I decided to try it out. Eating bacon and eggs every morning etc and generally food I thought would be unhealthy (high fat, but low carb), has made me loose over 2lb in 5 days and made my bodyfat drop 2%. I mean, you can't argue with results.. and this is even without working more out.
-
Well I am, but that's on an unrelated note. Had I gone further it would still be completly legal here.. just not that desirable.

I'm declaring an official no-partying-for-me for the rest of January.... I was talking to this beautiful girl last night and we were having great fun, almost made a move.. then I found out she was 17.. I compensated for the rest of the evening by only hitting on women I could clearly see were 30+

The burnings smell.... Jeez, I'm starting to get phantom pains in my crotch just reading that... and only Valium? but yeah it's probably more of a nerves thing than pain.
-
That's hilarious Alanschu!

Great job - I actually remember this from back in 2004. Must be good to be finished.

I don't think it's ridiculously overprotective to keep a check on your 12 year old kid. It would only be ridiculously overprotective if she was 16-18 and you still did this.

Can't afford to go the movies and see The Hobbit? Luckily there's a youtube version... for free.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m0l3Yr1B50

Yep, that's what we get when money and policy makers sleep together -

^ I don't get it.. The Indians (the American ones), having had enough of the constant confusion surrounding their name decided the move the India..

I've seen plenty a lot more critical of western culture than that, in newspapers through the years.. Just the other day one of the major papers ran a rather big 2 page story wirtten by a member of the occupy movement, raging against capitalism, privatized banking, the monetary system and western materialism in general. But that criticism is still pretty mainstream and so is your cartoon.. Try questioning the fundamentals.

Yeah me too - I think I need to save up to a US trip and then go to a Comic Con.

Someone posted a little picture on 9gag that really had me thinking.. it said something like "What would be the most outrageous thing from our time, that you would show a guy from the 1800s? And I thought, I have this device in my pocket, with access to all the information and knowledge humanity has ever made or found and I use too look at pictures of cats..." .. I haven't been back on that page since.. So yeah, I agree and I felt for a long time that we were headed in the very wrong direction precisely because of this, but in the latter days of 2012 I started noticing a significant shift in the attitude and mentality of people I talk to and random people I encounter - an seemlingly awakening realization that 'this is it' and we have to fight back in what little or major way we can. People starting to take care of themselves, joining movements/protesting, moving from materialism towards inner strength and wealth.. 60% percent of my friends stopped smoking suddenly, myself included and just small change like that. I see it as a response to the extreme emotions rising after this crisis and a "what is outwards lost shall be inwards gained" to quote a Danish poet. So I choose to be optimistic.

The new generation, at least here in Europe; is full of paleo, vegans, raw food, straight edge hipsters - who incidentally also ran the occupy movement and various other anti-fascist and anti-corruption campaigns.. I think we are gonna be all right, I mean sure we are full of ourselves, but there's a very serious focus on health and both physical and mental.
