Here west of Sweden, we are a little afraid of Finland ..

But boys they do have some stunning blond ladies. Last year I went to this music\dance festival in Belgium called Tomorrowland. We ended up meeting and partying with loads of really great people, but the Swedish girls were up there as some of the most attractive and friendliest of everyone we met . If I had to be objective I'd say the Norwegian ladies are the prettiest in Scandinavia and the Swedish men are the most attractive. While Denmark is where the fun is at.

Yeah I was snickering at that remark too, Stockholm's like the capital of metereosexual, politcal corect niceness of Scandinavia.

I wish I could share this website 'Overheard in Denmark' there are some hilarious stories there, but it's all Danish.. So I'll translate.. Two girls are standing in a Cinema where the power has gone out. #1: Wow! #2: What? #1: You know the power is out right? #2: Yeah, I'm like not an idiot!? #1: Yeah, but look here! nr. 1 shows her mobile to nr 2. #1: "My mobile has power!" #2: "OMG! I wonder if mine's got power too..." she pulls it out of her bag "Wow, mine too!" #1: "Then they shouldn't call it a 'power out?'" #2: "No, they should like call it an.. Ehm.. 'Cinema out'." #1: "Eh no? That sounds retarded! Maybe our mobiles just have like coverage from the moon or something." #2: "It's space dear.. Try Saturn." or another one.. A dad with his 5 year old son is in a gas station buying some flowers and some chocolate. Clerk: "Looks like all the ingredients for a romantic evening." Son: "No it's 'cause dad was kissing another woman and now he has to apologize to mom!" Clerk: "...." Dad: "...."

The Nuances of Evil
Rosbjerg replied to bojohnson82's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Some concern has been raised on the topics here - while I understand the underlying point being made (that evil is relative term), some of the examples used to illustrate the point are a little.. troubling.. Please keep the discussion within reason and remember that you are currently discussing this on a public board where kids and young people frequent. So keep it light guys or use the PM service. -
Not for me, whenever I try the link I just get "General Error".. But no need to quote if it's a long article - I just thought it might've been like 10-15 lines.

Been sick, so I've been playing a lot of Mount and Blade Warband.. I could never get into it, but it's actually a great game if you have the time to dig in. Been playing with a great mod Brytenwalda, which takes the action to the 5th century AD Britain as the Franks, Saxons, Jutes (Danes) invade and the battle of which religion will dominate the Isles is nearing it's end. I've always been fascinated with that time period and the mod is actually surprisingly accurate (of course what we know of that time is limited so..).

The connection between being a gamer and having ADHD
Rosbjerg replied to Arcoss's topic in Way Off-Topic
I know and as Hurlshot mentioned diet is also a big factor. There was this hugely popular book in Denmark where a family had a kid with crippling ADHD and simply by taking away sugar and especially gluten, he became a lot more focused and "normal" - so there's also that. But I'll still argue that we are holding kids and teenagers to pretty stupid and unrealistic standards. On one hand we have this extremely interactive, always on and always distracting reality of TV, computers, mobiles and then we have school which is thankfully getting a lot better, but we humans are obviously not designed to be both as idle and as intermittently concentrated and erratic as as modern society apperantly would like, as these attention disorders and overweight epidemics shows. I just think it's a shame we drug ourselves to fit in rather than fix the problems to fit us. -
I was talking to a couple of students in a cafe in Kyoto when the subject reached robotics and I asked why they Japan seemed to be so naturally gifted with robotics.. to which one of the guys replied "It's 'cause we hate foreigners so much" and went on to explain that why it was an elegant solution to the problem.. so yeah..

I wanna read it but I just get "General Error" whenever I press the link. Can someone quote it? Also found this thing.. The Most Ambitious Video Game Project Ever.

The connection between being a gamer and having ADHD
Rosbjerg replied to Arcoss's topic in Way Off-Topic
To me this ADD/ADHD "epidemic" is a clear symptom of a societal problem, not an individual one - now of course there are some cases where medicine and treatment is justified. But we have designed our schools and our way of work according to an industrial model, not a human one. If we actually took time to address the fact that obviously not everyone enjoys sitting still for 50+ minutes and obviously most people get distracted when they are bored out of their minds.. Then maybe we could design a system that took us into account rather than us having to adjust to the system. -
I've been playing with photoshop for some friends - my profile picture (the one I use here) started a small "war" between my friends were we edited our faces onto various ww2 leaders. I made this 'Faux De Gaulle' and I smile every time I see it .. Thought you guys might enjoy it too.

The Scared is scared. Wonderful little short film. Big part last night (dressed as hitman), had a load of fun - but somehow scratched my retina or something during the night, so my eye hurts like ****..
-
Changed my profile picture to propely reflect my despotic nature.. And 'wasted' all day playing videogames, it was grand!
-
No idea actually - I had a slew of issues with CTDs so I tried testing different configurations and it was either Better Quests or Better Vampires and since my character is a vampire .. Quests went - but no idea if they were conflicting or if they together caused a different conflict. I have almost 80+ mods working together, so its' quite a puzzle at times heh.
-
Maybe next they'll do remakes of crappy/weird spin-offs from the 90s.. Like Redneck Rampage or all those C&C clones..

I'm all for democracy, but sometimes corruption is so ingrained in a country that you need something akin to a benevolent dictator to take you out of it. I have no idea what Chavez was, I only know he at least seemed to take the best interest of his people very seriously, which is something I can respect.
-
The ones I saw yeah, only a few errors (and those were minor) - maybe there are some bad ones still though, a conflict with another mod I'm using meant that I had to uninstall it again.

Someone remarked about how annoying it was that you couldn't play without using the map markers, I think.. Well this mod Better Quest Objectives, together with "Immersive Hud" means you can actually play using only the journal and your inner compass.
