  1. Considering how diverse their characters have been from GTA 3, VC, SA till 4, they were bound to recycle some aspects, but even with that in mind - I think you're reaching here.
  2. Yes they are, my theory is; that as development speeds up, things stay the same for a shorter and shorter period of time and thus younger people get subjected to the "it ain't what it used to be" effect sooner.
  3. Ronja Röverdatter That's defiance right?
  4. I agree so vehemently, a story needs to be thoroughly investigated and 'digested' before being send out. And I hope they get rid of the "opinion on the street", I'm really not interested in how 4+ people misinterpreted the situation. -- In relation to this, I don't know if a 24h cycle would've prevented it. This is like a village reaction to trauma, the internet just acting like the medium that allowed a few thousand rather than a few dozen to act like idiots.
  5. Mexico is beautiful.. But all the bad movies had me convinced the air would be kinda yellow.
  6. You and me both.. Good to hear that I have a few more years to go on at least. I decided to go for the soft landing and took a glass of Port after midday. But I actually enjoy these 'zombie' days. I had 3 buddies sleeping over, we were all slumped today.. listining to Django Reinhard, chillin in the sun, drinking tea and eating bacon.. Getting older rocks :D
  7. I was thinking exactly this when I saw the game - it seemed like bargain at the price. It's a shame that so much money has to be spend on advertising to reach the broad appeal the big games needs, I think in the end that's what makes AAA games so expensive.
  8. It's pretty great that the gameplay video is from the Tribeca Film Festival... nuff said hah.
  9. It is.. but I wonder what kind of acid the developers were on..
  10. Sambuka as a matter of fact .. and I'm not so worried I always bring backup to these kind of parties .. They were both very charming actually, he was dressed like an Anne Rice vampire with sharpened nails and fangs in addition - and she looked like your average Goth girl, but had had some kind of ligament surgically grafted into her ears to make them look elf'ish. He drank blood and we talked about black magic.. And then I danced with a lesbian poledancer. Good night.. It was seriously how I imagined a night club taken from a a Vampire Masquerade game would be and feel.
  11. Had one of the craziest nights of my life yesterday. Party from 4pm to 8am.. I mean, I drank with a vampire and an elf, who were dating...
  12. Argh, makes me want to sail the accountant sea and shoot up all the corporate fat cats with dusty old men as crew and filing cabinets as cannons..
  13. Well you are a cat and the reason why they sit still is they are wondering how to murder said object they are looking at.. Cats are viscous, evil, egoistical and sadist creatures.. Which is why I absolutely love them.
  14. The McD you work is like the perfect example of my general prejudice of the franchise. I've always wondered how the *blip* they manage to "employeer of the year" in so many countries.
  15. Walked through the rainy streets with an umbrella.. I love how different a city can feel, depending on the time of day and weather. Copenhagen can be absolutely beautiful in the blaze of a spring day and it can be so dark and foreboding when it's windy/rainy and the seedy types come out to party. It's like 2 different cities inhabiting the same space but in different times.
  16. Doesn't make sense - divorce does not kill a kid's parents, make them disappear or turn evil. An ever increasing murder rate or kidnappings however could be argued as a subconscious desire for the society to create a cure, but that would be really stupid as it would in effect create a problem in hopes for a solution to arise to deal with said problem..
  17. Beautiful - I bet there's a few you've seen in here..
  18. I think he's wise enough to not even try in the first place.
  19. This is pretty cool. Kurd men for equality.
  20. To me runners seem a lot leaner and their muscles more sleak and less bulky than the lifters.. In fact except for their legs they don't seem that muscular to me, they just seem to lack fat (and thus showing their muscles). I wonder what their stats are.. haha
  21. So playing videogame doesn't make you violent, but maybe it makes you think you actually are a superhero, if you were just ever given the chance. :D But don't be surprised - as I mentioned earlier the vast majority of us 'suffer' from a mix of the Donald-Kruger effect and illusory superiority - it's an ego defense mechanism designed to help us deal with this strange, dangerous and crazy world. If we automatically assume 'above average' we don't feel so crummy about constantly comparing ourselves to everyone else. It's interesting then that in small societies a cultural regulating layer is added - a balance effect like the Law of Jante - to keep the ego in check. We can't have a small community of people all thinking they are superhuman, it would cause too many problems - but it's essential that people feel superior in huge societies like America, because otherwise everyone would feel like crap with the large pool of actual above average people to compare themselves against. And here we have it demonstrated through DnD stats - fascinating
  22. No I did mean Sins, for a moment I thought Stardock and Paradox were the same - as they have kind of the same indie portfolio in each of their respective genre. But I could actually see both of them doing good or even Ironclad handling the IP pretty well. Gearbox not so much, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
  23. 18 in a stat is considered the absolute top of what a normal human being can accomplish, so you're basically one of the most charming, strongest and intelligent people alive on the planet right now if the stats are true.. Props for self-confidence though. To quote a guy who got a bit scientific about it. "What does all this mean? It means that the vast majority of people you meet will be lucky to have a single +1 bonus in any of their ability scores. Most of them will, in fact, have straight 10’s and 11’s across the board." I could see a few 12-14s for those of us who are truly gifted in a field.. For instance I have maybe 1 sick day a year, so I think my 12 in con is justifiable.
  24. Donald-Kruger effect right there..
  25. Haha, looks like a hilarious game. Kinda reminds me of this gem.
