Far Cry 3 - great game so far! It seems like a very open world and very customizable (you have to craft bags, harnesses etc to expand you inventory or max guns carried etc). I think it'll get repetitive around late game, but they've won me completly over by having a bow in the game.. Damn I love taking out an outpost with a machete and arrows..

So far I'd say Xcom takes the ticket from me.. But Far Cry 3 is a possible candidate if it's as fun as it seems.

Gay Tony and The Lost are both pretty good on their own (maybe even better than Niko's story), so just for that it's worth the price imo.

I would as well, but I blew all my money on booze and books.. Ah well there's always the christmas sales.. Please post your impression at some point, I'd like to know if it's good.

What are you playing now - the plays the thing

Some of those quick time events in Witcher 2 are killing me, I've been seeing red the last 5 minutes.. The keys just wouldn't respond and I kept being beaten to death.. grr! This is getting close to that god awful race in Mafia 1. You know what.. I think I'm gonna play SWTOR, it's free anyway.. -

Bought The Witcher 2, I like the story but the mechanics are annoying me endlessly.. I find moving and fighting to be very clusmy and on top of that I die all the time on hard, but normal is a total cakewalk.. So close to being a good game, but right now it's more frustrating than fun. -
The Walking Dead is 50% off - also a great bargain. And thanks for getting my attention with The Witcher 2, I've been looking forward to it being on sale.

Happy Thanksgiving guys! Hope you enjoy the day where ever you are.

Interesting, I hope they stick to the formula instead of adding unnecessary filler.

It's a great game - it takes some stupid detours once in a while and the control are wonky, but they really know how to make you care.. -
That's sucks Ratihe, I hope she gets better. I wasn't that impressed, sure it's a solid action movie, but nothing really happens.. I guess I just want Bond to save the day rather than discover himself (and not really doing that either). It's a little too Bourne for me.

Norway appoints Muslim woman Minister of Culture

The guy blowing himself up surely feels that way, but I honestly think it's more political for the planners and leaders. It's an interesting development, but probably for another thread, how and why certain muslims have resorted to terrorism, but I think it might have something to do with the PLF and their actions in the 70's.. I think it's a 40/60 split on the blame (40 on us) for treating the middle east like idiots unless they use violence.. -

Norway appoints Muslim woman Minister of Culture

That wasn't relevant to what he asked - ie. whether a certain nationality was involved. As far as I've been able to find, about 2/3 of terrorist attacks in Denmark (and I'm assuming the world) were political in nature rather than religious, so in that regard it would've been more relevant to point out his ideological stand point. In fact speaking of religion the most prevalent form of terrorism involving it is aimed at opposing branches within the same religion - Sunni and Shiite, Catholic and Protestant.. and yet terrorism is somehow linked to Islam due to one day and some rather pissed off Palestinians (and that's political not religious).. It's quite interesting actually, but a little sad. One generalization I'll make of muslims though, they are horrible at PR... -

We had a Chechnyan/Belgian terrorist here a while back - he blew himself up in a hotel by accident though. But here at least most pickpocket thieves, beggers, organized robbers etc come from slavic or east european countries - but I see your point, it would be easier to integrate slavic people who are interested in coming here. -
It looks like it's time to bring back this classic thread... Wow I can't get over the fact that I missed such a great thread - thank you! :D

Please refrain from personal attacks and derailing and get back on topic. -
Spoiler from the Hitman 47 video: Wow, I was somewhat ready to actually buy that, but this is just stupid.. That fight was hilariously bad. I wouldn't mind QTE if they were actually done dynamically and not so obviously stringed. Which fighter would throw the same punch 4 times in row?

Or werewolves, zombies, vampires, horoscopes, psychics, angels or anything which has been examined and evidence found wanting.. You do?

Actually I seem to remember that you might lose Shale if you side with Branka.. Looking at wiki that seems to be right: If The Warden sides with Branka and Shale is part of the active party, Shale will join Caridin and fight against The Warden. If The Warden sides with Caridin and Shale is there too, it can lead to the quest A Golem's Memories after talking to Caridin at the end of the combat. If Shale is not part of the active party, the next time The Warden talks to her in Camp after the new Dwarven king is crowned, she will ask what happened. Depending on how the conversation goes, she can either leave the party or start her Companion Quest. A Warden that killed Caridin can lie to her to avoid a severe loss of approval (-28). -
Problem with that is there's a lot of subjective observational data on things we know don't exist, like hallucinations, telepathy, ghosts etc - so how come we reject that?

I get what you are saying exodiark, but that's - no offence - a really weak example. But the premise is somewhat true, we go through life believing in the actuality of certain things, without proof at times too. But to me there's a huge difference between faith in people I love not behaving or acting in a way that's detrimental to my well being and believing in a deity - as faith is the former is still based on observation.. Afterall, my mom hasn't poisoned me so far and has given me no indication of wanting to - so trusting that it won't happen is in perfect line with reason and observation.. Whereas there's never any observational data on God, single or plural, so why do we put our faith in that?
