  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIwdM7mW2vo So the guy in this video said the new AI feature will be like dragon age origins' tactics(he actually said FF12, I didn't play it) but it seemed more basic than that in the update preview video; which we choose basic behavior and whether or not to use per rest abilities, I'm confused. Also he said soulbound weapons will be added not just to the expansion but to the whole game, is this true?
  2. Yes! Hm, or a Fallout 4 Mod/Expansion that introduces new mechanics, say, an Eyebot companion that introduces new gameplay mechanics. A Tactical & Strategical Eyebot, activated in the Pipboy, and when you do, you get the camera perspective of the Eyebot inside the Pipboy, which flies up and fixates itself in an isometric view, and places a holographic grid on the battlefield and then turn-based tactical mode begins. This way, you could seemlessly go from First Person, to Third Person, and heck, even to Isometric Top-Down in an immersive fashion. (P.S. I absolutely love the new Pipboy design and the hand in-screen) Wouldn't work in interiors.
  3. For the accusation I already said For the staff, it shouldn't be hard to hire/hire back people when you get funded by the publisher? The opposite happens when you run out of money :/
  4. I'm willing to admit I'm not one to keep up well with game news lately, but what does MCA have to do with Zenimax that would make someone come to that conclusion? Apparently he was the one who first leaked the info about metacritic bonus thingy on twitter maybe not intentionally tho :/
  5. Bethesda's very own Call of Duty? : P
  6. DA:O's tactics were nice, not the vanilla but a modded version allowed lots of flexibility and I even completed a playthrough with using only tactics including the controlled character. Whenever combat started I just layed back and watched how my tactics played out : D Only if they carried tactics to second and third game, then I wouldn't have had to bear playing such awful combat of those games.
  7. So I was browsing the net if people talking about a possible Obsidian spin-off to FO4. Some guy in rpgcodex said... ...which I don't believe what happened at all but still made me excited for another fallout from Obsidian. Personally if there won't be another spin-off it'd be cos of Bethesda's ego and pride after all that - which game is better talk - over the years all over the interwebz. Or they might just be thinking Obsidian's not up to par after all the layoffs.
  8. So how will this party AI work? Will there be any player input like tactics in DA Origins?
  9. As for the location, I foresee a trip to a cold, wintery sort of place in the mountains. Don't forget to pack your long johns. New gameplay feature; make camp before party freezes to death : p
  10. Most probably. It's an expansion, probably within the same client I suspect so why it shouldn't be?
  11. So more writing in this than main game... interesting. Don't play it safe this time Obsidian!
  12. Why not 16th tho? at PC Gaming Show.
  13. In time as technology progresses, magic should gradually diminish in Eora for reasons that will allow Obsidian to make different kind of rpgs based on the same IP. Otherwise, get the rights to do a Farscape rpg :D
  14. The log says my character discovered something and the sound effect.
  15. You mean the secret door in the room with the gems-for eyes face, near the ooze monsters, right ? There's no 'hidden' loot there, only the container that you can only get at once the door is open, which will show up just fine even if you're not in stealth mode. The only thing 'secret' about that stash is that you need to interact with the stone face to open up the door the container is behind, that's all. After the secret door opens and normal stash there looted, I go in scouting and discover something which is no where to be found.
  16. The problem is I can't see the loot which I discovered using tab or whatever When I looked at a guide map in the interwebz, it shows there is a secret stash right near the secret door but game doesn't show it to me. I'm not expecting an Epic İtem :D but this is the only place something like this happens in the game.
  17. In Cilant Lis' after I reveal the secret alcove and kill the monster there, I go into scouting mode and my character finds something but there is no indicator pink-purple thingy, everytime I start a new game this pisses me off. I looked at a guide which shows that secret loot is there near the alcove's entrance but game doesn't show it to me.
  18. They can only gain exp through adventure minigames in stronghold management I think.
  19. I played Expeditions: Conquistador which was more text-heavy than Pillars but I didn't find the experience in that game, bland. Why do people think that I find the universe of this game bland? I don't. I think it's a better world than DA's and more mature and serious/dark which I like. To clarify myself for the second time: I don't think story or setting is bland, I found the experience bland from "gameplay perspective". The game lacks flavor. It fails to deliver different kinds of quests/mysteries that would make you excited other than the main issues(hollowborn, gods) in the story. There was only two high points in the game otherwise it went slow and steady. Even some events like Aloth's revealing his past to us couldn't make me really care about it. I got the feeling that devs tried too hard not to make big deal out of some things which sometimes should have been a big deal. It felt like everything I did, I did to learn more about the lore or the setting and my characters goals - purposes wasn't the thing that drove the game. It was like game was telling "just play and get familiar with the world, eventually enough things will be revealed so you'll make sense of some things and you'll be ready for what comes next". Well at least this last part was accomplished; I'm eager to see what comes next in hopes that I don't find it as bland as this one. ps: I acknowledged from the start the amount of cliches DA's universe contains but the execution of it was just right.
  20. Pacing can be slow but it was also too steady, no ups and downs except for Act 2's and game's end. Quoting myself "my main issue is with the story; not the main story but all of it and not what it is but how I experienced it." So I don't criticize the story, if it was a book, I'd say "good read" but storytelling was off somehow from gameplay perspective. Yellow Rabbid tells better what I mean to say: ps: I don't know how to use quoting in this forum properly.
  21. This will be a short impression. To start with I should mention I haven't played any IE games, I tried to play them several times but never could get a hang of them. I don't read every single piece of lore in an RPG; I read all the gameplay dialogues and much less of codex entries. I'm not a fan of "IE style" nor 2D backgrounds, I was neutral on that topic and I think I'm an open-minded player so I got on board with Pillars and I don't regret it one bit. I played 5 of Obsidian's games before Pillars which are Kotor 2, NWN2, Alpha Protocol, Dungeon Siege 3 and New Vegas. I loved all of them except DS3; guess it wasn't buggy enough :D I don't remember much of DS3 but I remember ıt wasn't interesting enough to continue playing. So in Pillars, everything's bland from story to companions to items. I don't have any complaints for combat and I don't much care about the items&equipment to complain about them. Stronghold and companions could have been better but my main issue is with the story; not the main story but all of it and not what it is but how I experienced it. It's strange that before Pillars I could doubt every feature in an upcoming Obsidian game but the story. I can't think of many things to base my point on except for everything I did felt bland. It felt like devs tried too hard to avoid everything which had been done before: like there were no long quest chains in different acts(most quests were too quick to reach conclusions), no duel situations with spectators, no big trial/evidence gathering etc. Yeah there were no NWN2 stuff :D but instead of things like these there were no new interesting things either. So why make it this way? To kickstart a fantasy universe in the cleanest way possible so you can branch it and make it interesting later on? DAO started a new fantasy universe(which went down the **** in later games) but it never felt bland in that game. Yeah it didn't feel as original as Pillars and there was the biggest cliche of all that the evil army threatening to destroy the world. But quests in DAO felt more connected and were not so eager to reach an end. Companions were more involved in story and side content(*they also could talk directly to the NPC you were talking to and get a response much more often than in Pillars*). And romances may have helped with DAO but I never felt the lack of romances in Pillars so that was not it for me. Don't get me wrong. I liked the more mature theme and realistic approach to most things(I wouldn't have minded if the universe was magic-free :D no, I'd have been overjoyed if that was the case); the hollowborn situation and how gods are displayed. But the game generally lacked flavor. Maybe it's because(it's a big game but) current events take place in and effect such a small part of the world we don't know much about. Maybe it's cos of the safe/controlled approach to a new IP or something else. Anyway, had to get it out of my chest. Thanks for reading and sorry for my grammar.
  22. For barb I only got one in act 3 and another for background(living lands) maybe in the same quest. I started playing a godlike-cipher which I think should get the most unique options/responses. I don't like a certain class or combination to be too much superior in the story but I don't wanna miss any - at least moderately important - thing.
  23. For this reason I use colorblind mode, I can differentiate tones of green but I can differentiate tones of blue much easier.
