  1. It's like the perfect excuse to be a rotten bastard.
  2. I love the way his views are portrayed here as being the product of a 'funny sense of humour', rather than rabid egomaniacal loathing. It's never a healthy thing to start believing in your own myth, all the great 'mystics' did. As a complete aside, my mother broke it off with my father at the time he was writing a book on Crowley, she says writing it was turning him satanic.
  3. ahh, no just a famous lunatic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleister_Crowley
  4. Didn't he name himself after some famous Satanist. The name rings a bell.
  5. One man or woman one vote. Anything other than proportional representation means one man 1.3 votes in one area, and one man 0.82 votes in another.
  6. Seems like Satanism is entirely incidental, some kind of jealous obsession more likely.
  7. I never subscribed to the notion that if you haven't got anything constructive to say you shouldn't say anything either. It's gotten me into trouble on more than one occasion.
  8. More likely they just don't care as much as they perhaps ought to.
  9. There must have been Hamas hiding in it, and that makes everything alright.
  10. 140 sounds a little chewy. Anyway humans are sentimental like that. There is a difference between eating a 200 year old turtle and a, what, 6 month old chicken. For some reason it is also worse to eat a dog or whale than a pig. It the only conclusion is that it's racism, or in this case ageism.
  11. To be fair it's easy to be distracted by buxom chicks in Khakis.
  12. Don't you think that if you have more money than anyone could spend in a lifetime you have a responsibility to do something worthwhile with it rather than have your parasitic children grow weak and lose their ambition with the prospect of gaining it.
  13. No, they usually make onboard sound chips.
  14. There will always be a couple of trolls who think it easier to ridicule than to be constructive. Maybe they lack imagination themselves? Can you really start a sentence with "But..." in English? Yes. People who think differently are usually advocates of dogmatic linguistic prescription and no one ever got anywhere by listening to those people. Well, if you don't realise what effect it has and use it because you can't figure out where to stick the dependent clause it just looks silly. But... (hahaha) theres no final verdict on style.
  15. I don't get it, I mean being physically strong is an advantage I suppose, if everyone happens to run out of bullets at the same time, other than that it comes down to marksmanship, training, endurance. Soldiers are usually required to haul around a ludicrous amount of gear.
  16. There is a common sense of the country, Israel, always being a hair's breath away from destruction, no doubt as a result of the 6 day war. I am always weary of patriotism, it rarely brings out the best in people. I mean, it can sure, but most times it makes you blind to your own failings.
  17. I heard about a archeologist finding a possible evolutionary link about the first peoples in north america, he excavated it and tried to study it to figure it out, but was blocked when the Indian tribe that used to dwell in the spot where the skeleton was found, filed a lawsuit claiming that the guy was part of their tribe and thus they were going to rebury him in a traditional manner. Yes, there was some suggestion of an explanation of the American Indian heritage as regards the evolution of the human species. On the other hand I can appreciate that the Indians think the bones of their forefathers belong in the ground. Maybe I'm just sentimental. In any case the researchers got a good chunk of the data they were looking for before they had to return the bones.
  18. 'Wounded and hunted down' suggests past perfect, How can he do anything if he has already been hunted down. 'hunted' is better. Also starting a clause with a capitalized 'But'. How is this. Officer Brian Reaper faces his darkest night, wounded and hunted, but as the heart of the evil looms closer, nothing is as it seems.
  19. Where are you getting this, is this a new development, and who is reporting it. There aren't any journalist inside Gaza except Hamas media and a smattering of 'independents'. Mostly people with video cameras looking to make a buck.
  20. What about shooting knowing without a shadow of a doubt that you will kill both the guy you are aiming at, and the guy standing next to him. Collateral damage. You can't escape the need to judge each situation responsibly by using a silly label like 'collateral damage'. At what point does a military engagement become a war crime. 2 civilians to 1 militant killed, 10 to 1, 1000 to 1.
  21. so why are they firing from schools to begin with? The UN officials who were there say they were certain there were no Hamas firing from the position. What likely happened is that the IDF forces took mortar fire, and guesstimated a direction. The spokesperson back in Israel then says that Hamas were firing from there, which is predictable bull****, a lot of that going on from both sides. Like Hamas media making the most of the wounded and dead children that their actions helped bring about indirectly.
  22. I really hate the autoplay and auto indexing features, It slows your computer to a crawl whenever there is a disk in the drive and you enter windows explorer by spinning up the drive all the time. On top of the slowdowns it's noisy and uses power for no reason at all. If there is a way to get rid of it I would like to know.
  23. What about shooting knowing without a shadow of a doubt that you will kill both the guy you are aiming at, and the guy standing next to him.
  24. Yes, it's true about the talks Clinton moderated between Barak and Arafat, I forgot about that.
  25. Unlimited ammo, WTF.
