  1. Then shouldn't it be 'Grammar Nazi'? As that's a compound noun, it being prefaced by the indefinite article 'a'. 'Grammar Nazi' is a noun phrase in post Chomsky terminology. It consists of a classifying modifier 'grammar' and the head noun 'Nazi'. Usually only the head noun would be capitalised, but it varies.
  2. For people who haven't been drinking milk growing up it has a really repugnant odor that the rest of us can't detect. Kinda like coffe breath which only affects tea drinkers, in the sense that only non coffe drinkers can smell it. Biologically we are omnivorous, we can all digest cows milk except for those who are lactose intolerant.
  3. Lol, lightweight. 35% and 25% VAT for everyone.
  4. Mandated insurance for everyone. That's gotta be a huge boost to the sector. Or, yall could learn from ze Germans. Turns out a well managed universal healthcare system is cheaper and more effective. The doctors hate the idea because it will mean they will make less money, ditto the carriers and HMOs. It's only really good for one group : the end users. Also, this is an opinion piece, don't let the fancy titles fool you Sally C. Pipes is President, CEO, and Taube Fellow in Health Care Studies at the Pacific Research Institute. Her latest book is The Pipes Plan: The Top Ten Ways to Dismantle and Replace Obamacare (Regnery 2012). Bought and payed for. They have a world for when journalists get up to this kind of malarkey. Good thinh she's not a journalist then, having to be objective and everything, but an 'academic'.
  5. Well there is the siren sniper build; That skill that adds more damage to enemies with more health + crit bonuses and an amp shield. It does more damage in one shot than anything else because the base that is modified with the crit is so much bigger. Like 2,5 times greater than an assassin sniper shot, but only when the amp shield is up.
  6. Should i get sleeping dogs for 17 E
  7. What would you consider to be fairly short? Provided you can get a legendary class mod and a good cooldown relic you can get it down to around 26 seconds, but that does require you to beat Terramorphous. With just the 20% cooler skill you get down to 42 seconds. I prefer playing as sniper because it's more about fancy shooting and traditional FPS skills. Also his aim bonus means he can use more guns which I would usually throw away. It's harder because there is very little in the way of healing, but that's fine too.
  8. I heard lots of complaints about it when it first came out. Maybe people were just annoyed that it wasn't STALKER 2.
  9. There is a bug that gives you unlimited gold keys. Or rather it doesn't count down when you use your keys. You need two active profiles though. One to work the bug and one to open the chests. Easier to do that than swap equipment between chars.
  10. It's a well known recipe. There must be hundreds of dramas with the same theme. They have had a lot of practice though, so it's pretty well refined. Circumstances beyond their control seperate the young lovers, years pass by and they meet again. Throw in a mortal disease or over controlling parents for variation.
  11. You get the option 'playthrough mode' after beating the game. Adds new enemies and substitutes various baddies with beefier ones. Also randomly spawns enemies that are a few levels higher than you which is great equipment wise, your guns are no longer constantly decaying in relative level. You would really be better off starting your game from lv 35 or so with someone elses save/profile. Various builds are possible and the combat is actually challenging. All that time you spend being low level is a huge waste since both quests and gear will become obsolete very quickly and you don't get to use your skills, or at least not the ones you wanted.
  12. You can't do 'stocky' dwarves with rubber masks, you wind up with Gimli from the first movie. The proportions look wrong. It's the same reason all the alien species on startrek looked stupid. Dwarves have a different body structure. I think they all conformed rather neatly to sub culture expectations of Dwarves. Warhammer, warcraft, whatever. They just weren't very good. Save maybe one or two. 'Stumpy', the orc general from the battle of Moria bothered me too. Sure so the first part of the book doesn't have a clear antagonist, but the movie didn't need one transplanted either.
  13. I got the wrong one. Not having used one for ages I decided on an Xbox controller because it already came with USB. It's not good at anything. Playstation ones are suited for combos at least, with the four back buttons.
  14. I dunno, was never a huge KOTOR fan.
  15. I think it would have looked a lot better in traditional animation. You know line drawings with a high production value as opposed to computer animation and face masks. I love the book, but it's nothing without atmosphere. The dwarves look either like humans or like they were lost from the set of Snow White. They are supposed to look like Warhammer badasses.
  16. Smart idea to just concentrate on that one encounter in the highrise.
  17. Looks have always trumped gameplay, it's just so much easier to do. I would argue that games have become dumber since the rise of the console because those few seconds of initial exposure where many people decide if they are going to buy or not have come to mean much more than they should. If you compare with Risen, and I don't see why you could'nt, TW combat actually works, while RIsen combat may eventually work acceptably well after a few patches.
  18. Doging came with a patch if I recall. Didn't work particularly well. Frantic button mashing was still you best bet.
  19. My main problem is that you don't get to shoot at other players. I mean, it's a shooter. That's what you feel like doing, especially because coop is so easy most of the time.
  20. I've just started chapter 8 and I've not seen anything so far that is bad about AC3 that isn't optional like those blasted feather missions. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Ubisoft really have to get off their formula and try to be more original. Maybe It's the way maps and landmarks work, climp a radio tower (Farcry) and get the Assassin's Creedtm pan and icons pop up on the map that tell you exactly what to do when you get there. There are never any surprises. Rinse and repeat 200 times. I was actually kinda interested in seeing how the expected twist in Farcry 3 was going to play out but I couldn't take anymore sameyness.
  21. The real tragedy there is Assassins Creed 3 itself.
  22. I'm thinking several titles haven't met their predicted sales and they are afraid to give them a heavy price reduction. STEAM have always been a bit too optimistic about just how long a title should maintain it's initial price.
  23. Can't you load the autosave, or is there no load option at all. I vaugely remember having to do something out of the ordinary to get the saves to show up.
  24. Yeah it's good. One big question though. Why is there no PVP arena. Other than that I'm finding it too easy both in coop mode and soloing. The arenas were the most fun I've had. I think there's just too many levels, it makes getting the difficulty right too hard. They should have 5 or 10 gun tiers instead of 60. You find one you like and 5 minuites later it's obsolete.
  25. Borderlands 2. Really annoys me that there are a hundred levels for every gun you pick up. The joy of finding good rifle is much depreciated by knowing that it will be outdated in another level or two. Isn't Dead Island the same. lv 21 wrench. unequippable at lv 20.
