  1. It's about moving out on your own without the safetynet of your parents, about facing the world alone for the first time and being afraid. even though that happened a long time ago. Memory isn't linear, that's why people keep childhood trauma for life. You're wellcome.
  2. I know this is sacrilledge to a lot of people, but water your whiskey and it won't feel quite so much like detergent going down.
  3. Sargy does that. He's the only one who remembers where these ancient threads are buried.
  4. BG2. Migrated some when various companies went bust and here we are. How long ago was Interplay.

I like the way they look all serious and you just know they don't believe a word of their own shtick.

I see pundits. You know entertainers as much as political analysts. Typically identifiable by being very angry or very 'scoop' about any particular subject.
  7. Boss is getting married and I'm sortof expected to contribute towards a gift. Thing is I don't like him. Don't want anyone thinking I'm cheap either though. Debated sending a transvestite stripper to his bachelor party but we decided against it.
  8. I blame society for hypersexualising breasts. I mean no one cares if a guy bares his chest. There is no logical reason why it should be taboo.
  9. I miss archers. The javelin guys can throw a mile perhaps to compensate. There are only siege engines during (duh) sieges. Fine on the face of it, but I miss them. Units move too fast making a coherent strategy difficult unless you are defending and can set them all to guard. You can pause and give orders, but it's a chore if you have to do it all the time. It also looks like crap on my computer. I would'nt advise trying to play it without a newish CPU and GFX. They say it scales well on old computers but that's pretty far from the truth.
  10. Copy that, gold leader. I am in position your left flank, will provide cover, start your approach. Dangerous territory that. I don't see how one could not stare. I mean sooner or later you simply wouldn't be able to help yourself. You would be completely 'deer in headlights' over those.
  11. Either you can or you can't. It wont make any difference if you wait. It is possible to lose system files that were in use during the hard shutdown, but windows is supposed to fix that on reboot.

Actually his name was 'Knud' or something along those lines. Silly English couldn't pronounce it. Land grabber by conquest, forced eviction and blackmail. exceedingly bloody warlord, but ultimately he was cursed with stupid sons who squandered his gains after he died.
  13. The trick is to let a few of them have their way. The size and inflammation around the bites will decrease as your body gets used to it. Assuming you live somewhere where they don't carry diseases. The really insufferable part is the noise. Ohh and don't smack them while they are about to bite. Might make them vomit much more into the bite.
  14. They aren't called terrorists when they are doing our dirty work, only if they should happen to win. Don't you know anything.
  15. I've had a cup of coco powder with milk. It was delicious.
  16. I've given up on Dexter since Deborah found out. I didn't buy her reaction or the new dynamic at all.
  17. I don't actually know what that is. Might be a rodent.
  18. Sounds more like a clumsy attempt at speaking the language of his audience. Talking about god and equality (The bill of rights) He's a politician. Who knows what he actually thinks.
  19. Most of the core designs of rifles are from the 40s through the 60s. The rest is just computerised machining and new composite materials.
  20. The main problem is that the survey skips the question of consent and attempts to ask without asking, in doing so catching more people with that net than rapists. If it asked outright one can assume that most respondents would just lie, but this is a flawed solution.
  21. Russia has carefully nurtured a reputation of being a bit mad and capable of rolling out the tanks in their cold war era sphere of influence on perceived and slight provocations. It appears to be working. Outside that sphere everything is posing and nothing backed up by real threat. I think they have correctly surmised that the west is not going to bother. Would the west give Georgia full NATO membership if it meant going to war in the near future. I think not.
  22. New Kirk annoys me. I agree with everything the admiralty berated him for. I would have demoted him to ensign given him a red suit and sent him first through every door on the away missions. This is not nostalgia for old Kirk, I only remember him from rescue 911. New Spock is filling some pretty big shoes. He's doing ok - ish.
