The Iraq war was a disgrace, but sometimes we forget just how much
Gorgon replied to Humodour's topic in Way Off-Topic
Just watched a documentary on Vietnam. Funnt how Iraq worked out pretty much the same. Assuming for a minuite that the collapse of 'democratic' Iraq is imminent. -
I'm guessing they will revive the female animation project if enough **** is raised. Someone call Anita Sarkasian. That way they can look like heroes for doing what they should have done in the first place. The Ascreed animations are pretty smooth but I just don't believe that doing them is beyond the scope or budget of an Ascreed game. More like cutting corners and trying to spin it like it's a good thing, like the no multiplayer in the new Wolfenstein thing.

In the next episode they meet Strelok who will guide them to the center of the zone.

Mostly confusing because of the ****ty graphics, but yes.

I really loathe all that PR roleplaying, just play the game stupid.

The dragon age presentation looked really weak I have to say. Coop stealth for Ascreed is a good idea, still not expecting much out of it though.

European Parliamentary Elections results, major concern?
Gorgon replied to BruceVC's topic in Way Off-Topic
Might as well try and deal with reality. The reality is that it's here. -
Well it's interesting for the fact that it's the biggest show on the planet as well. When it comes to bragging rights there is nothing that really comes close.

http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/ Some pretty interesting matchups in the first round. Prediction : England will manage to screw it up somehow and concede the advancement to either Uruguai or Costa Rica.

Well the US was already supplying Britain but the anti war sentiment was still strong. The US could very well have been too late into it. Once Stalin turned the tide he posponed finishing off Germany for as long as he could while securing eastern europe under his control. If Normandy had happened even later he could have taken Germany alone, and who knows what else. Normandy saved face by providing Stalin with the second front he had been promised for so long and gave the allies credibility, it was not the knockout punch, but the straw that broke the camel's back.

I don't think it's MMA per se, but that it allows better for complete focus on initiative, like krav ma-something etc. and that is really something that makes a difference.

If only it had happened earlier it would actually have mattered long term, not least for dozens of countries about to enter a virtual dark age of communist mismanagement. Did it shorten the war, certainly, but the eastern front had more or less broken the Wermacht by the time everything was ready. The Nazis weren't going to win either way. Imagine if Parl Harbor had never happened though, odds are good we would all be speaking russian. Well most of Europe anyway.

Don't preorder people, makes for worse games.

You actually keep saves 3-4 years between games. Impressive.

Something about the way she's into it 110 % just cracks me up.

There are lots of things that are only funny because they are wrong, particularly if you are 13. Can't believe I'm standing up for the beeb. We used to tell all kinds of horrible holocaust jokes in school, I guess this would be the American version of that with all the white guilt from slavery.

Got home from a long day at work to find two girls at the door to the courtyard, one peeing and one puking. Must be distortion this weekend. We discussed putting armed guards out front to deter the curious among them, only half kidding.

mad chick magnet tho, just dropping it into a casual conversation.

I'm curious Oby, does it pay anything or is it like a labour of love kinda thing. (sorry for being off topic)

Does the test actually tell you at any point that it's incorrect? I saw no grading of any of the actual individual answers. I do agree that it's a valid sentence though, particularly if it's in response to the question "Did you end up going to the beach today, or did you go somewhere else?" "We *did* go to the beach, and it was lovely". Note the sentence does not have a "to" in it. We did go the beach We did go to the beach Makes sense, we don't actually read by looking at the order the letters appear in but recognise groups of meaning and quickly move on to the next thing. Possible flaw with the methodology as the same mistake would almost certainly have been caught if we were hearing it rather than reading.

I have issues with some of the questions We did go the beach That's not actually incorrect, if you weren't able to say 'We went to the beach' it is, but in a different context it would be fine.
