There are much better pictures here, but they changed how the book is embossed because they had lots of returns from people who were not happy how the foil and embossing were uneven. The original version had the leather pattern raised wherever there was foil, now the foil is flat.

Patch out for Zero Company. That's BS, neither is it rare or is it caused by spamming inputs. Other than that it's concerning that they didn't mention soft locks during enemy fights.

They really need to patch the soft locking in Zero Company... Kills the will to play the game. FFS it locks up in the main menu...

It's a dead end job and position so the silver lining is that it's a kick in the ass for me to find something better.

Oh, forgot to mention, I got the boot. Client is downsizing (somehow convinietly lined up with the setup of Claud) and with the combination of my seniority and my long term project being closed, I was left in a position where I had the least amount of experience. They say they want to keep me and will try to find another position for me with the same client, but I am not holding my breath. Now the firm which outsources us will need to find me a new client. Managers are saying that there are positions available and there will not be any issues, but again, we shall see. Not really looking forward to being put on an AI project, but whatever, I guess I will start looking at other companies, especially if the new project has mandatory office time. Did pass the Foundation level Anthropic exam, I guess I will go for the professional next as it's somehow easier than the foundation, or that is what I have been told at least. In other news, I ordered up some posters/prints by Alphonse Mucha "La Primevere" & "La Plume". There was an option from the US, but I found a place in China that offered slightly bigger formats and 50% the price.

I mean heavy duty (60C sometimes 90C) is what I use for mine, except for the silk set, which has it's own program that runs at 30C. I have no issues with regular bed sheets and towels they come out very clean, I did have issues with the silk set where it would come out discolored by body oils, now that I think about it the same thing happened with the duvet, probably because it too has to be washed at 30C and also needs a mild detergent. The way I solved it is by adding Vanish whitener and stain remover (I think Resolve is something equivalent in the US) every time I wash them. Although my washer/dryer is very fancy and I never used a top load one so I can't really compare. As for rinsing properly, that is just the bane of modern washers. They now aim to use the least amount of water and electricity, so you need to play around with the settings and increase the water consumption.

A lot of Europe has AC, there isn't an apartment in Serbia and Balkans without it. Italy and Spain are probably the same deal. The issue other countries north are having is that their summers had gotten hotter. I imagine that it's a couple of idiots that are yelling that are being amplified by the government, probably due to infrastructure that would collapse by mass AC adoption. Energy is in a precarious state in EU, no dirty coal, nuclear is not popular apart from France and gas is no longer cheap and readily available.

This channel is one of the best yt military analyst around. It's in Serbian, but there are subtitles for some videos like the one above. This one is also great but sadly no translations. He analyzes in details the what happened in invasion of Kyiv, along with the losses.

Zero Company is much more cinematic, so the story should be better. Performance is palatable. It's not good, but it's playable, especially considering that I am using the highest settings and native resolution. I'm still early on in the game (or at least I think I am) so I'm reserving judgment. Oh and I found out you can change the action wheel in the game settings.

Oh yeah, you reminded me. You can't fast forward the enemies turn... I think they are trying way to hard to be cinematic.

I do not like that they picked the worst type of turned based, the one Larian uses. Why not use grid based movement, especially because there is nothing in the environment that would benefit from that style. Controls need some polish as I find myself picking the wrong action 50% of the time, also sucks that the action selection is fixed around the character instead of being fixed to where the camera is. I'm also fighting the camera often. Apart from that I'm making progress, waiting for the game to open up a bit.

Can confirm that it hitches for me too, although it's not terrible. I get around 100 fps with auto frame generation and all settings on quality/ultra, with native 2k resolution. The frames do jump up and down, especially in scene transitions. 32gb with 5070ti, but an old 10 core cpu.

Really like Menace, it has its flaws but the gameplay is very good and the variety is outstanding. Story is just there as a flavor, but it doesn't detract from the game. The only knock against it is that it's on the harder side to get in to, the tutorial is non existent and some gameplay things are not obvious. For an example, I upgraded a section of my ship and I though that I could upgrade the whole tree in that module, turns out that you can only pick one branch and there is no warning to say, hey you will destroy the previous upgrade and lose all the resources you used on that upgrade. By the time I figured that out, I already lost the save and even if I hadn't I wouldn't have wanted to reply that much. The game is still in EA so stuff may improve, but so far it's good.

Not for me but I'm sure people will be interested.
