Russia ain't my country, neither is the US. I'm a DC guy.
-
That is pretty much why I said rename the thread. Yes it is about Ukraine but the discussion tangents a lot in to other conflicts around the world as people make comparisons. I mean half of the previous thread was about, what is modern warfare and what are the military capabilities of the US and Russia and then that tangents in to what are their economic capabilities, which it self leads to what type of economy does the US have vs what type Russia has. Yeah all that isn't about Ukraine, but it is important in understanding why no one is willing to directly help them.
-
Nah, pretty much no one gives enough of a **** about Ukraine to get in to a conflict with the Russians over it.
-
This thread should be renamed to global conflicts, Ukraine is not even in the spotlight anymore (if it ever was). It's more about the big players on the chessboard, that is currently Ukraine.

You will see when you watch it...

Ugh... Have you watched "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas"?

I put more time in to it, because everyone was saying how hard it is and I didn't wanna give up right away. Finished the first part of it and made it back to the bonfire you start at(after the two bosses on the roof), and then went down to the area with the ghosts, I just couldn't make my self play more of it. What it came down to is that you either had to roll and backstab to defeat enemies, or you had to learn the timings of the parries, that wasn't fun at all for me, especially with those commands. It just felt like an unpolished game to me.
-
Well that certainly won't hurt. For me personally, I couldn't get over the crappy controls, they felt so imprecise and sluggish.

@DE This is one of those, whatchamacallit, box arts for wider audiences. But it does look cool.

Y'all need some girls in this thread.

Got up on the wrong side of the bed today, didn't get sleep pissed off my folks, and got crushed in the only egg battle I had. Swell day, my own fault entirely, but still a swell day. Happy Birthday, may your eggs crush all your enemies.(sound's much better in Serbian :/ (balls=eggs here))

I doubt it, I gather that every piece of magical loot will have a story background, some (most?) of which was submitted by the backers. That, in my mind, excludes any possibility of random loot generation. There is a charm to hand placed loot, it has much more personality and it's somehow much...hmmm...not better, but significant then random generated stuff.

The muliplauyer is ok, as far as I heard. The main issues with the game is no unit stacking and the AI. Though I play CIV more like a building game, like Caesar and Pharaoh. Man someone should kickstart a game like those, so much fun.

What annoyed me is that you can auto win the game on any difficulty if you ally your self with all the city states, which is really not that hard.

Told you. I'm still reserving my judgment until I watch part 4. Maybe they got something planned and it will make sense in the end. Though there are pretty interesting theories that it was all foreshadowed in the original series and that in fact these 4 movies are a sequel.

Heh, if you think that is war, well I have bad news for you. It's seems that you and I are not on the same page scale wise.
-
I think you are mistaking assembly for manufacturing. As for military production yes they have facilities but do they have the numbers for mass producing to supplement war losses, that is what I doubt.

Harem route incoming.

Heh, we go head on head and butt on butt, we like to use the whole egg.

Then let us not look at the blown up balloon that is the US economy and look at who really produces what? The fact is that the US has moved almost all of it's production overseas and is only just now beginning to show interest in moving it all back. The numbers you guys look up on wiki have so little to do with reality that it would almost be laughable, if more then half of the world wasn't dependent on that dollar. The US has built it's whole economy on the fact that they made sure that no one would call bull**** on it or they would bring down their own economy with it. I mean look at the Chinese even though they have money to burn, most of their federal reserves are in dollars so they don't dare do anything that would jeopardize that dollar. But, and this is a big but, if world war broke out that dollar would not be worth more then the paper it was printed on and all that mattered would be what resources you have and what are your production capabilities. I don't think that the US would have capabilities for mass producing tanks and other weapons for years if all out war broke out. Their saving grace is that while their mass production capabilities are not really there, they do have massive stockpiles of weapons. But then the problem there is that most of those weapons are old. Which brings us back to, you can't win a war without boots on the ground.

"United States' claims at being a democracy seriously threatened"
Sarex replied to JadedWolf's topic in Way Off-Topic
I don't think it's even that. When the republicans do something that is recognized as a bad idea and dirties their image, they switch out for democrats, who will essentially do everything that matters the same and once they **** up well people have already forgotten what the republicans did so it time to pick them again.. It is such a farce, but hey while gays get married and pot becomes legal everyone is happy, because that is all that matters. That is why I think that democracy is essentially a flawed system, people on average are stupid and it's oh so easy to pull wool over their eyes. -
But then again there is not, production and R&D is much, much cheaper in Russia and resources are much more plentiful, it's not always down to economy. But there were still boots on the ground, just not theirs.
