The official reason by Jim was that they would need to price the book differently and the people who buy his books expect the price they payed for the previous books... Which I don't understand as it's more expensive to buy 2 books...

Read Dresden Files: Peace Talks by Jim Butcher. Things seem to ramping up steadily, although I do not understand why Peace Talks and Battlegrounds were split in to 2 books. Peace Talks is a short book and I doubt Battlegrounds will be longer.

Build Thread 3.0
My only recommendation, from what I know, is to use hard tubing, as the soft variant degrades and gets stained. This does increase the cost as you need fittings for any bends you may need (although I have seen people bend hard tubing with heat to various degrees of success).

It's expensive and time consuming depending on how complicated you want to make it, but the end result looks awesome. I used to follow Singularity Computers on YT, he has awesome guides.

The only thing I remember about SS3 was the anti-crack measures, the indestructible monster that kept killing you.

Did you guys hear about the new Dune trilogy prequel by Brian Herbert. Personally didn't like his sequels.

What Are You Playing Now: The New Beginning Thread
My experience in LoL was that from Silver to Plat it was toxic as hell and up from there (mid diamond was where I peaked) you don't get griefers unless you encounter someone who has a boosted account (This is on NA, I heard that EU is way more toxic). But I never really cared about toxic people, I stopped playing when I realized that ranked has become a ritual where it sucked when I lost and it was a relief when I won. It became about winning and not having fun. It was a toxic relationship with the game itself...

You stop having fun with these types of games when you play them at a "high" level/rank, it becomes about playing the meta and winning. The thing about playing the meta is that it's repetitive and very unfun especially when you aren't winning. I don't see any point in raising your skill in a game that isn't giving you entertainment and you aren't going to go pro and make money out of it

They expected the big streamers they bought to translate in to views for other streamers on their platform. They wanted a fast buy in to the market. I would have gone for the mid sized streamers, but who can say if that would even work...

Heh, my tactic in Homeworld 2 was to rush Battlecruisers. Hard to do in a 1v1, but oh so easy in FFA (then everyone hates you and quits the game). Best match I've had is when a regular I played against, in a 1v1, decided to rush BCs too. We had 3 fights with over 20 BCs and after each fight we would mine the resources from the wreaks as we exhausted every asteroid on the map, by the final fight we had so many ships we crashed the game... Really hope HW3 turns out good.

New information against Avellone from Kotaku article
Looking at twitter (I don't know why I looked at twitter) the consensus seems to be "guilty until proven innocent and we don't have time to prove things".

Did you like Homeworld DoK? I was kind of disappointed that it was not a space game. Did not get pass the first few missions.

What Are You Playing Now: The New Beginning Thread
(Disclaimer) Did not play the games, but did watch a playthrough of both. I think the gameplay/AI is even worse in the second. As for the golf club scene, in and of itself it's not that big of deal. The bigger fault is how the rest of the story handles it, how the rest of the characters don't really matter and how nonsensical the story gets by the end of it. Had the follow through story been better people would not have minded it so much. The whole games feels like a cheep effort to play on people feelings. People are also pissed that the trailers baited them in to thinking that Joel would be a much larger part of the story. As for Abby being buff I don't mind it, though her build looks very odd. I don't think they modeled her correctly, but oh well. The thing I find less credible is how clean shaven everyone is at all points of the game (face, armpits, etc.), I don't think people would pay that much attention in an apocalypse. What I continue to find funny is how ok people in the west are with graphic violence, but any intimacy and sex scenes immediately draw outrage.

Most people will defend their own country. This is nothing new. Also they were never really that PC, that is a thing of the west in my experience. As for Wuxia, I kind of got feed up with it after a couple of years (5 years I think). They all end up being the same and even if they are not, the business model under which they operate makes reading them tedious. When you make money by word count you tend to get a lot of repetition and filler crap.
