  1. Btw, I'm looking at purchasing EK XLC Predator 360 (if I can get the shop to order it) and then plugging in the next gen (probably nvidia) graphics card when it comes out. The issue I'm having is that my Corsair 760T has a top mesh for the cooler but it lacks a dust filter for it which irritates me to no end as my apartment accumulates dust very quickly. Though there is a "cheap" fix for the problem, it looks very nice, it's magnetic and it looks like it would do a better job at keeping the dust out than the stock dust filter.
  2. I'm pretty sure what you are saying doesn't make sense... If a game is in real time and has a pause option that let's you do stuff during said pause, it's RTwP. That you are not willing to call them that (or have another category for them) is another matter entirely. Nor would I want you to, as I have already played enough games that used both system to have an understanding on what makes them differ and any explanation coming from you would be convoluted to say the least, judging from your posts. If the game forces you to pause after every action, then it's pretty much better to make it turn based. The IE games are the standard of how a RTwP game should play and from what I heard during development and now from other players that played the game, it seems that all that Obs managed to do with PoE combat is make it tedious and bland. I'll probably give it a shot a some point, but I'm not holding my breath.
  3. That's such a bad way to make a RTwP game play... My will to play this game goes down every time I read posts here... Like there is no point in making it a RTwP game, if you are going down that route then just make it turn based.
  4. Got a WD Green 6TB HDD, although only 5.45TB is usable... Also have 3 Noctua A14 FLX ordered to switch out the stock Corsair case fans.
  5. Personality: ENTP ("The Debater") Variant: Assertive Role: Analyst Strategy: People Mastery
  6. There are many Fantasy writers, old and new, who wrote much more complex works with much more foreshadowing and still managed to have a decent if not yearly release schedule (Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson immediately come to mind). The thing is, Martin is a discovery writer and the issue with discovery writers is when they get writers block they are screwed, also they usually need many more revisions upon completion of the first draft.
  7. They have plans for 2 more. One is called The Wasteland and the other is Furiosa.
  8. Looking forward to: Dishonored 2 Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Next Prince of Persia game (Even a freaking remake, I mean come on...) Next Devil May Cry Curious about: Fallout 4 XCOM 2 Mass Effect Andromeda As for books: Right now I'm pretty much waiting on the next Dresden Files book (Peace Talks) and the next Kingkiller Chronicle (Doors of Stone) Movies: Pretty much nothing ... Maybe Star Wars ... No wait the next Mad Max movie! Definitely that.
  9. It was talked about in the PoE documentary.
  10. I don't understand what you are really arguing here? I mean yeah there are other companies that depend on a publisher, but nowadays they are usually owned by said publisher and even if they weren't it would still mean they are in trouble if they don't have the next project lined up before their current one finishes. Obsidian was in dire straights (almost bankrupt) before PoE got KSed. With PoE they were able to forestall that. Now if they don't have the cash to fund the next PoE installment they are in deep **** again, until they KS again (and then it depends if people will even fund). If they have enough cash to fund PoE2 they can try to KS another game and secure their foreseeable future. Pretty easy to see the difference there. I guess the better thing to argue would be what you consider a successful business model.
  11. Because you are dependent on KS to survive. Launching another franchise would have given them an opportunity to grow and fund their own ideas in the future. Also, and I know this may be harsh to say, only surviving is a good way to lose your best employees. The biggest thing, as I mentioned before, is that I think that they wouldn't be able to reach 4 mil this time around. Although chances are that they don't need 4 mil to make PoE2 as all the ground work has already been laid out with PoE1.
  12. I wouldn't be so sure, Obsidian's plan was to make PoE self sufficient and then KS another franchise. If they KS PoE2, they are pretty much just surviving as a company.
  13. It will really only be a "success" if it's self sufficient. In other words if we get a "Lets KS Pillars of Eternity 2!" it's a bust. Not only that but I doubt they would even be able to KS it to anywhere near what they got for the first one. Saying all that I really need to get around to playing one of these days.
  14. Damn, it's cheaper in my country, but still no where near the US prices...
  15. Wut? That doesn't sound right. What are the specs of that PC?
  16. Well at least you tried. Now you have ammunition for an "I told you so". :D
  17. Then again it depends for what you are going to use PS for. Some tasks are RAM intensive, some are CPU intensive and some are even GPU intensive. For simple photo editing pretty much anything can run it.
  18. Could be that this is the weakest variant. Link
  19. It's 800$, that's somewhere in the middle for a laptop. As for your question, I can't really help you there, although I doubt that she will save much/any money by buying online.
  20. Vacuums and PCs don't go well together, just an FYI. There is decent chance to kill your PC like that. Compressed air is the way to go.
  21. Doesn't look that good tbh, the visuals I mean.
