I saw someone else had posted a bug where the hair disappeared, it was in a wild orlan though and during character creation. It happens with all races when using that hide headgear button.

4. After using the button to hide headwear character's hair disappear. Hair returns only by removing the headwear.

1. After completing one of the scripted "choose your own adventure" interactions on the map (the one to the left of the starting village with large lagufaeth) there was a constant sound effect of using a skill from that scripted interaction. Could only fix it by quitting the game completely. 2. Stormturner cloak's visuals are bugged. EDIT: Tried another enchanted cloak and it's bugged as well, only normal cloaks seem fine. 3. Some popup textboxes are not formatted properly and go beyond the screen area:

Removing non class specific talents was a bad idea
Aramintai replied to Boeroer's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Yea, it feels like the game *wants* you to pick up a second class because of how limited the options are. And why some passive skills are limited to some classes is beyond me. For example, I had do make a rogue\fighter just because weapon styles are now fighter exclusive. -
I find all these different requirement icons during dialogues confusing, especially when there are not only skills icons but also background icons in the mix. I'd prefer the old POE1 version where I could actually see the names of the skills in the brackets, instead of constantly needing to hover over icons to see what they mean.

Portraits folder for custom player portraits
Aramintai replied to Aramintai's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
...wait, what? Check out portrait_vela_sm portrait in \companion folder. -
For those who are interested, for Steam Beta the default folder location is this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II - Public Beta\PillarsOfEternity2_Data\gui\portraits\player\female OR C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II - Public Beta\PillarsOfEternity2_Data\gui\portraits\player\male Images must be in .png format, large portrait size must be at least 210x330 with _lg at the end of the name (for example, portrait_lg.png), small one must be at least 76x96 with _sm at the end (for example, portrait_sm.png). Basically, if you have an old portrait from POE1 you can just copy that to one of those folders, as everything is the same. If you have a watercolored version of your custom portrait as well, you must have large one at the size of 90x141 and have _convo at the end of the name (for example, portrait_convo.png) and the small one at the size of 76x96 and have _si at the end of the name (for example, portrait_si.png). For watercolor portraits better use those exact official sizes because the game has some trouble with resizing them without making them blurry. If you don't have a watercolored version of the portrait the game will use the regular one.

Ingame starting year is the same as in POE1
Aramintai posted a question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
Must be an oversight that the starting year in POE 2 is still 2823 AI, not some ~5 years later. -
The Custom Portraits Thread
Aramintai replied to Namutree's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Does anyone know if there is an option to add custom portraits in POE's console version? -
There's a 13 minutres gameplay video of POE's console version now: http://www.ign.com/videos/2017/06/22/13-minutes-of-pillars-of-eternity-complete-edition-ps4-gameplay-e3-2017 P.S. Looks just as cumbersome and slow af as Divinity Original Sin on consoles. I do love replaying PC games on my PS4 just for trophies, but then I remembered Triple Crown Solo...f that

Ha, this talk about guns reminded me of this one Castle episode moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itxpoyA3PYQ And those pistols were from the 19-th century if I recall correctly. They sure are better if they can hit a target. But in 16-th century I think their accuracy was even worse and bows were still better at sniping unarmored people fast.

I'm only interested in Xoti for her priest abilities, looks like she's the only option for that role among NPCs. Maia, on the other hand, looks like an interesting character. I only hope her personality is not too samey as Pallegina's. Blue orlan dude too, he looks like he will be very fun to have around. Can't say anything about Tekehu, as nothing was really told about him, but druids are always useful to have around. Ydwin looks like anime megane - nerd girl character from Castlevania, or something. Seen too much of her type of looks to find it interesting. But I suppose her interest in animancy is closest we will get to proper animancer class.

Nope, definetly Japanese, and devs even confirmed it somewhere, don't remember where now. I think they mentioned Ainu people's clothing as an inspiration. I can see the ornament resemblance here. And that footwear definitely looks Japanese too. I believe those sandals are called waraji. Clothes alone, of course do not mean everything else, like culture for example, are based on Japan. But seems fitting to assume that their ships look Asian.

I'd like this weapon to be not only upgradable, so that I can carry it throughout the game, but also I'd like it to comment on what's going on around the game world and give advice throughout the story, no matter how ridiculous or hilarious it may be. Also, it would be cool if the weapon had a personal quest. Like, for example, free the soul trapped inside of it or help it kill some dangerous beastie.

Wow, so many ship nerds here But that's a good thing, since different ships stretch goal was achieved someone needs to verify whether concepts drawn by devs are seaworthy, so to speak. Personally, the only two things that bugged me in that video were that the guy near the ship's wheel wasn't holding it and that the ship itself seemed too small compared to character models on it. I hope this will be addressed and adjusted later on. Even BG2 had bigger boats:

For her efforts in yesterday's countdown Twitch stream you should put Dini as an NPC in PoE2, so she'd matter more :D. For those who don't know, Dini, one of the Obisidian employees, was taking a shot for the team everytime another guy wiped while playing PoE1 during FIG campaign countdown Twitch stream. And that was a lot

Portraits
Aramintai replied to iscalio's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I'm pretty sure there will be an option to toggle companions portraits to normal, so there's no need to butcher your custom portraits. The only portraits that will stay watercolored are gonna be those of NPCs, because there will be no alternative.
