I'm leery of butchering her portrait for several reasons. First, I'm not sure people will want to play with a known dead character's portrait, it's weird. Second, there are two very similar looking player portraits in the game already. Third, looking at those two player portraits' convo versions I know I'll never be able to replicate them anywhere close, so I'm ashamed to even try. -

Right-o, had some free time, so here it is: Sorry for some masked portrait's hair loss on the right side - it was was blending in with the background too much and my pinpointed cutting looked like ****. I'm bad with hair strands, I know. -

Yea, yea, guys, I'll look into your requests a bit later, when I have free time. In the mean time, I took a little peek at the new beta after patch and daaym Lol at those new portraits! I understand that devs were obliged to make portraits of photos of top tier backers, but you can tell right away which are "photoshopped" backers by their majorly chubby faces and overly photorealitic details. And while I agree that elves are cool, chubby backer elves are especially jarring to look at and there are plenty those. It's kinda sad that artists couldn't tweak them sufficiently to not stand out among original, imagined portraits. Good thing I have my cutsom portrait ready, which funnily enough looks more in line with the rest of the original portraits. -
Eh, killing Eothas? I'm not even sure he'll end up a main villain, let alone about killing him. He may as well drop the giant adra statue body, slip into some kith form and become a secret companion. Nothing is certain.

Yes, here: -
If you thrust the gun forwards at the same time as firing it you can impart more kinetic energy on the bullet I don't see an issue here - you actually do need some strength to pull the trigger and hold your arm firmly so as not to get injured by recoil. Drawing bows and reloading crossbows requires much strength as well.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, guys, about devoted getting multiple proficiencies but I've reported it and it was confirmed as a bug: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/94962-devoted-fighter-can-choose-more-than-1-weapon-proficiency/ If multiclassing is indeed similar to to BG2 2ed AD&D you don't get bonuses from another class if they contradict with penalties from another class. Hopefully devs'll fix it properly and devoted will still be able to pick general talents other than proficiencies.

...A wand is a weapon so it uses Strength...I'm sorry, I should do what with a magical implement? Swing it hard and bash enemies heads with it? Or maybe poke someone's eyes with it? So you know how magic wands should work, do you? I know magic missiles are coming out of their pointy ends, so magic is involved (if the name magic wand is not clear enough). Are you suggesting that they get powered up by a mighty swing? The mightier the better?

I chuckled at this post from Josh: https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3807509&userid=17931&perpage=40&pagenumber=9#post478806259 ...A wand is a weapon so it uses Strength...I'm sorry, I should do what with a magical implement? Swing it hard and bash enemies heads with it? Or maybe poke someone's eyes with it? Or should I channel my magic powers into the wand so that it could amplify them into a magic missile? Shouldn't that use Resolve or Intelligence?

The usefulness of Guardian Stance vs Enemy AI
Aramintai replied to mostundesired's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Well, I haven't counted the times, but they do that on occasion. Maybe it has something to do with how much damage I deal or what ability I use. As for turning around from the fighter to hit a squishy rogue - every single fight, sometimes they even chase the rogue after he used Escape. -
The usefulness of Guardian Stance vs Enemy AI
Aramintai replied to mostundesired's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Well, from my experience with the beta fighter is useless at keeping enemies aggro. Because what happens is, without breaking engagement enemies usually like to simply turn around and attack more squishier party members like melee rogues who are trying to backstab them, or disengage and take an occasional stab at ranged characters or casters, and then run back to fight the fighter without taking too much damage from disengagement penalty . I'm glad that somebody found a way to cheese disengagement penalty by making a specific build with specific subclass, but for those who are trying to normally roleplay a sword and board fighter tank this sucks. I think if I want to make a proper tank out of a fighter I should have aggro abilities on him, like Taunt or War Cry, or something. So that enemies have an extra incentive in staying engaged by the fighter instead of running around like crazy attacking most vulnerable party members whom fighter is supposed to protect. -
Well, I doubt devs will remove death penalty, because allegedly companions should react to deaths in the party in POE2. Wouldn't want that work go to waste now would we? And besides, death penalty is good when you're soloing or playing on a high difficulty - it's an extra challenge. Going back to brutal injuries draining 25% health is also not a good idea as beta feedback showed. Personally, I don't have any ideas how to make it better other than perhaps changing 4 injuries=death penalty to a 4 knockouts per rest=death penalty. Or simply accepting that not every mechanic in the game should be realistic.

A case for not adding general abilities to Proficiencies
Aramintai replied to KDubya's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
I like that devs want to give fighter's passive abilities to other classes, because taking only a ****load of proficiencies you won't even use is indeed a bad design idea. But if fighter passive abilities are gonna be copied to talents I can see no other way to make fighters better than to create some new unique passives for them. Otherwise every fighter will be forced to take only active abilities, because passives will be in the talents anyway.
