What are you playing now?
Steam lost my login info this weekend. I decided to get me some Blood Dragon when it did. Uplay is experiencing some technical difficulties. It was a pain in the butt to buy it today. Now that I'm downloading it, it is going almost at a whopping 22k/sec.... Nevermind, it just dropped to 3.2k/second. That is a little bit faster than my first modem. EDIT: Should have put this in the "What are you playing 140 hours from now?" thread.

What you did today
Where do you live Baba that you can go to an island, it sounds fun I live in Grey County in Ontario. The island that we go to is so small, it doesn't even show up on and map we've ever seen. It's one of those places a friend discovers while fishing, and has (or was) been a regular spot (more or less) since. I usually help row everyone there and back, so dagnabit! I get to just fish.

What you did today
Looking at this snow, thinking it better not be like this next weekend. Booked some time off to go camping on some little island I can never remember the name of for the long weekend. The last time I went there was before my first son was born, and it was fudgin' cold then to.

EA Granted Star Wars License
Outside of MDK2 (once), ME3 (once), and Shattered Steel (I'll play it eventually - I got it off GOG); I've played and beat every other (non-MMO) Bioware game at least or more times than the BG's. In some cases, many more (KOTOR, Jade Empire, ME1, DAO). You know, (outside of DAO) before I had kids. I'm pretty certain I'll need a video card upgrade for DA3. I'm hoping it will just be something where I just need to put Win7 on a different partition on my HD and run it from there vs. needing a whole different computer. I think there's supposed to be news at E3. I hope they have different human origins. Me thinks I'll be buying shortly after release. Me just hopes I wont be punished for doing so (a la Sebastian/Exiled Prince.) Otherwise, I'll be waiting for a price drop this time. The DA story has me more engaged than what the BG one did. ----------------------- What I think will be the most interesting when it comes to Star Wars and BioWare, is what it will be like without Drew. Obviously, Drew wasn't a published Star Wars writer before KOTOR. It will be interesting to see if the next Drew comes out of this. Even the guys at work with whom we shared the Star Wars books with each other all agree that nobody writes the battles better than him, and none of them have ever really got into the Bioware games. That is of course assuming that the BioWare division makes another SW game.

Searching for a voice actor
Could be worse, you could fall asleep to Sir Roger in THE PERSUADERS! only for the episode to turn out to be "That's Me Over There" and end up with Tony Curtis' attempt at an English accent. I never even heard of that show until now. I see it's by the same studio/production company and a regular director of The Saint. I might have to pick that up. ------------------ I'm waaaay out of practice with my straight English accent. I tried reading the PST book, and my worst attempt sounded like I was putting an accent aigu at the end of most of the words. Tony Curtis put me to shame. It also didn't help that my allergies started acting up after I woke up. On the other hand, I still have a pretty mean gumby. I can keep practicing, but you would probably be better off with just about any English person over me right now, if that is the accent you want to match the game.

The NHL Thread.
Maybe Trevor Linden can rejoin the Canucks on the ice. Maybe I'd like them again. Of course, they'll probably fire Vigneault, when Gillis is clearly the one who sucks at their job. Too bad one of them couldn't have taken Torres out. My money is on Keith being the one that Torres gives the illegal head shot to, provided he doesn't go after an old target. I'm assuming Detroit doesn't come back and beats Anaheim in 7.

Sometimes you just gotta give in and go see a doctor about getting some sleeping pills. The second summer after getting hired at my current job I slipped into a bad pattern. I'd get off at 8:00am. Shower, and fall asleep at about 8:50. Then I would wake up at 10:50. you could almost set your watch by those two things. After two weeks, I passed out in a chair at work during lunch. The wrong person woke me up 45mins later. They cracked down on sleeping on the job before I got there. Apparently people were taking turns napping in the first aid room. It can be a automatic firing. After finally seeing a doctor, getting sleeping pills (and spending the next week in HR meetings basically fighting for my job - my direct boss was a huge help in this.) I got step 3 - 15 months probation. It was deemed that I didn't intend to fall asleep and had a good track record. But I couldn't sneeze the wrong way for a very long time. At least now, I can kind of see the pattern of when it can happen again. I nipped it in the bud a few years later during another summer. I fortunately still had some of those pills left over from all of those years ago. Personally, I found a few days on the pills, and I was fine again naturally after that. I definitely didn't want to abuse them. It would probably be worth looking into. I haven't needed the things in years. My house is pretty good at staying cool in the summer, which is probably a big part of it. Plus I've had a couple of runs of days.

Searching for a voice actor
I've got to bring my computer back into town to re-activate my mixer. The Windows one wont cut it with my mic. My English definitely needs a bit of work as it's a bit inconsistant, and campier than what I remember, but my Irish is still better than Pitt's in Snatch. Thank you Father Ted. I think I'll bug the people at work tonight speaking in an English accent all night. I'll fall asleep to The Saint. The Roger Moore ones, not the Val Kilmer one. Maybe I'll wake up with a bad Russian accent instead.

Double Fine Humble Bundle
I was just playing Psychonauts again last month on my PS2. Got a good ways through it when I tried loading it up again the next day, jumped inside the menu brain I guess you could call it...and nothing. Loading Limbo hell. This now marks the third time I bought this game, although the the PS2 and PC disk versions were for slightly more than this. :D Actually $35 sounds about right for what I payed for the PC version when I think about it. My first PS2 crapped out when I bought it if I remember correctly. Oh well. Psychonauts rule!

Searching for a voice actor
I don't know how good of quality my mic is, but I could test it out when I get home. Outside of a that I was briefly in after seeing them in a concert the previous day, I haven't done anything since college. However I've seen a boat load of British television and movies since then. I'll see how I sound, make some files, and send them to you in a few days if I don't sound a lot worse than I think I do, and my mic doesn't completely sucks. Fortunately it's only been about 4 years since I've last mixed voices and music, so I hopefully haven't lost that ability...yet. EDIT - Of course, an actual English person would be a lot better than me.

What are you playing now?
I was going to pick up Alice: Madness Returns on MS's Games For Windows Live for $49.99. Then I realized that if I really wanted it, I would have picked it up on Origin whenever they have a sale for $4.99. Man, there's a lot of games on there who haven't updated their prices in a bit, across many different publishers. Dragon Age 2 -> $59.99 (I got for $10, it's been lower on Origin) Hunted: The Demon's Forge -> $49.99 ($15 at EB Games) The First Templar -> $39.99 ($20 on Steam) DiRT 3 -> $49.99 ($25 on Steam, $50 for a 3 game pack) Batman Arkham City (vanilla) -> $49.99 ($30 everywhere else for GOTY) Resident Evil Op. Raccoon City -> $49.99 ($30 on Steam Shaun White Skateboarding -> $29.99 ($15 on Uplay) Alpha Protocol -> $29.99 ($15 everywhere I've seen it) Fable 3 -> $49.99 (oh wait, they're still charging that everywhere for that one? In that case Fable 1 TLC -> $10. A much better one.) I guess I should go cut the grass now.

What you did today
The worst job interview I've ever had in my life, was for the job I have now. I will never forget this: (Now) Retired HR Manager: "What is the last thing you learned?" Me: * blank stare (15 or so seconds later) Me: "I can't honestly remember." I assumed I got hired because they thought I wasn't going to be a threat.

Offical information?
At this point, it's probably someone from Future Shop/Best Buy adding some date that they may or may not of heard from somewhere at sometime by someone who has nothing to do with Ubisoft. EDIT: Even the Future Shop website says: Estimated release date.
