  1. It got it's late boom a bit earlier than usual. http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/432712414/ar-k-an-old-school-game-with-a-new-twist/#chart-daily I was almost thinking it was not going to make it for the longest time, but it looks like a lot of the Realm money has probably gone this way. My daughter's costume for her dance recital has taken any more bumps out of me. So close. $93,915 - 51 min to go.
  2. I'm surprised they haven't fired Sather yet. I always thought that he said something along the lines of that if he ever had Rangers money, he would win a bunch of cups.
  3. AR-K is in it's final hour and a half. $92,656/$100,000 pledged.
  4. I wonder if they'll do "Trade in X number of licenses to get a new release" like what Gamestop does.
  5. I know I still have 5 kicking around with the rest of my floppies in my basement. I think I'm going to start and slip into a marathon of sorts with them when the kids go to sleep tonight. Hopefully it still works. By the time I finish 7, the funds should clear in my PayPal account to get 8. Hopefully GOG gets the first 5 as well.
  6. There has yet to have been a true communism, but this anthem kicks ass as a song.
  7. That is classy for Tortorella. It's like Pig Pen from Peanuts putting on deodorant.
  8. GOG now has Wizardry 6-8!!!! The Wizardry 6&7 pack is $5.99 Wizardry 8 is $9.99
  9. Alain Vigneault, and two assistant coaches have been fired today. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=671631&navid=nhl:topheads "We have made the very difficult decision to relieve Alain Vigneault, Rick Bowness and Newell Brown of their coaching duties today," Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis said in a release issued by the team. ----- "It was either them, or me; and I was going to make sure it wasn't me." /parody
  10. It was just nice to have, especially in the case of the PS2, it allowed me to retire my PS1 into storage while I still continued to get more PS1 games. However, I also remember being ticked that my Saturn's slot wasn't for playing the Genesis games I still had left over, so I know it was something I wanted even back then. In this case, where the current systems have a tendency of having a very unreliable shelf life because of heat issues, there should be something in place so people can still play their games. Hopefully a good emulator pops up in a few years or so.
  11. It was nice to play the Mario RPG for the SNES on my Wii. I missed that one, and didn't feel like paying a hundred or so dollars for it which I have still seen that cartridge for as of yesterday.
  12. I know, but they're actually really good, and fun. It's beyond me why I need to save up something like $40K or so for a new shirt for the butler, but my garden is already the best it can be, but dag nab it, I'm going to him a purple shirt. At this point, I'm trying to unlock the third level Top Salesman of the Year achievement, where you try to get 10 or so sales in a row without a single customer losing a heart for time. THAT is what can make this game tough. Plus when someone asks for a compass, it could be the magnetic kind, or the making circles kind. Keys might be like house keys, or the key you use to tighten and loosen up a drill.
  13. My kids were playing some hidden object game called Aquascapes where you found objects for money, so you could build aquariums. It was on one of those try before you buy game services. My dad was going to buy it because he ended up playing it for hours after we left. It was one of those services that acts like Columbia House, where you basically have to lock into an agreement to get the deal on the game, or you have to play the full price of $20. The next day, we picked up Gardenscapes 2 on it. It's just as much fun. I decided to go to the developers website to see if I could buy it on there instead. Indeed I could. I picked up a pack of a bunch of their hidden object games for $30. The whole catalog of their games is available for $64. So now I'm playing Gardenscapes 2, and my mom has left Bejewelled for a while. Gardenscapes 1 is part of this name your own price bundle. Ahh, simple, really good casual games. They've got some of them online for free including Gardenscapes MM.
  14. I didn't notice it with NES vs. Master System (I think Master System was pretty inconsequential in my neck of the woods. I only know one person that had one). There was definitely a degree of SNES vs. Genesis in my area, however. And I lived out in the boonies to boot. There was a little bit of it around here with sports titles, which is kind of where it started. The Genesis had the faster processor, and it took until about the 96 EA Sports games to get rid of most of the slowdown on all the SNES sports games. It was really Mortal Kombat, and the censorship stances taken by the two companies at the time that really caused it to explode. Mario vs. Sonic just kind of got swept up in that IMHO.
  15. I figured it would just be easier to make one thread for general Humble Store news, deals ect. Right now, you can pay what you want for Alan Wake, and the expansion. https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly In this video, Sam Lake explains why the new Remedy game for the XBox 1 isn't Max Payne 1 (because that was the old system) or Alan Wake 2. Alan Wake has sold over 3M copies. I love how they have seperate emails for lovemail, and hatemail. ------------------ In the end, the Double Fine Humble Bundle raised over $1.27M from over 150K sales.
  16. I was subjected to this almost non-stop after fishing on the weekend. It was forgotten until someone just reminded me of it. This one was shown to me on New Years. It always pops into my head whenever I need to use a pipe wrench at work.
  17. In case you didn't see the whole thing, and want the minute and a half version:
  18. http://kotaku.com/xbox-one-does-require-internet-connection-cant-play-o-509164109 I guess you have to connect your new XBox to the internet at least once a day. Congratulations. I can probably count your entire current POTENTIAL customer base of everyone in my county outside of the one "big" town of 500 or so people with all of my fingers and toes. Well played, Microsoft. Well played.
  19. I wonder what is to stop you from just pointing it towards a wall? Or are they going to be that big of pricks wanting to see a person at all times?
  20. What does actually happen if a GoG game needs a patch? Do I need to re-download the whole client again? Doesn't sound as convenient as Steam to me... They usually have patches available under your game downloads.
  21. Big Brother is watching how you get your achievements, so we can see it too! You too can see the moment I get 60% of all battle trophies in Star Ocean 4. Did i get it dealing exactly 555 pts of damage with Edge, or did I do it defeating a paralyzed enemy with Reimi? Now you will know with 100% certainty. Lucky you.
  22. EA Sports and Xbox One to have 'A very special relationship' If it bombs, can we expect that relationship to go the same way as the Wii U's 'unprecedented relationship?' Perhaps that will make it a precedent.
  23. Of course, as was expected: Xbox 1 needs the new Kinect in order to work. Kinect is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Poisoned disgusting tasting moldy bread with worms.
  24. "The console is not online-only, but developers can choose to release online-only games using Microsoft's Azure cloud computing service, which lets the servers do some of the work. You'd have to be connected to the Internet to play those games."
  25. Oooohhh! It just keeps getting better! http://www.theverge.com/2013/5/21/4350662/new-xbox-has-no-backwards-compatibilty One extra reason to get South Park for the XBox instead of the PS3 (download) or PC.... Or not. Well played, Microsoft. Well Played.
