I'm not saying you're daft, but come on. We have tried the War on Drugs. Nice plan. Didn't work. Carrying on with our heads in the sand is costing everyone needlessly. Im not saying you're daft, but come on. Since one thing didnt work we might as well throw up our hands in failure and open the floodgates.

^^But meanwhile, who do you think is going to foot the bill for these "free" services? Thats right, you and me, via our tax dollars. Thats part of the reason why all the Scandinavian countries have ridiculously high taxes, all these "free" social programs. If you want to spend your life in a drug induced haze, fine, but it better not be coming out of my pocket to entertain the idea it will force organized crime out. IMO, its just switching one cost (fighting crime) for another (manufacturing drugs to give away). It also basically green lights illicit drug use. If your govornment is giving it to you, it cant be criminal to use. So, party hearty on the taxpayers dime with absolutely no reprecussions! Also, arent methadone clinics already set up in every major city? They give it away and the organized crime problems are still in full force. Why so? Ive seen this in a slightly different layout, that 10% of the total population commits 90% of all crime.

I never understand the "If we give it to them, they wont have to steal it" BS argument. Well duh. If we open up free ATM machines nobody would have to steal cash to feed their families either. If we gave away Porche's, nobody would steal cars. If we gave away PS3's, nobody would get jacked in line. While many of you trumpet "I should be able to live as I want" I think you know inside thats crap. We live in societies where personal responsibilities are the foundation of orderly living, not "gimmie what I want for free or suffer the consequences".

^Thats been a major problem for me too. I tend to have a hard time being Chaotic or Evil as I play the game as "myself" and usually pick answers as I would IRL. Between that and my computer (higher middle end system) suddenly chugging to keep up with the frame rates has caused me to not play for a few weeks now. Im not bitching about da rulez, it just made me lose a little interest.

Im not sure he can block every power but certainly can block any mental assaults (Suggestion Girl), attempts at scrying (cop) and read/wipe memories. Meaning, for example, I dont think he could stop a non-mental power like flying, radiating, healing, etc...

Took the family to Happy Feet. My daughter loved it and a couple parts made me chuckle. At 2 hours its a bit too long. Also watched The DaVinci Code. Never read the book but I like the movie. Didnt really get why the church would want to hide the bloodline of Christ. It would seem like having a living heir of a god would trump adjusting some religous history.

And that helps addicts out how? Or are you looking at this from a strictly financial point of view?

Then I talk to the parents and say something like "you shouldnt make up stories" - BAM, 3 point Good shift. EDIT: And thanks to those that answered my question. I guess that makes sense of the Warlocks need to be Chaotic and/or Evil.

Yeah, I figured it out last night. Quick question for all you D&D brains, why is a Warlocks powers dependant on him staying Chaotic? His powers arent spells nor divine grants, they are abilities born into the person. AFAIK, Sorcerers share this trait too and arent restricted to an alignment so why Warlocks?

Two years since transplant, a long, rocky road since then, it looks like I may finally be getting back to a normal, healthy, firearm-obsessed life. I'm off steroids completely and down to a smidgeon of cyclosporin, and should be off the meds completely by the end of January. Provided no big disaster happens between now and then (to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me), the whole business should all be behind me. What the hell happend? IIRC, it was a bone marrow thing. OMG, long time no see! Hope you're doing well.

Loved last nights episode. I find it refreshing that they actually, you know, advance the plot every episode. So, the million dollar question, did Jenny shoot Micahs father in the end?
