Luckily I do my own brakes and Ive stumbled across FREE BRAKES FOR LIFE. See, when you go to an auto parts store and buy brake pads and rotors you actually get a lifetime warranty on them. Dont ask me how they can give a lifetime warranty on something specifically designed to degrade, but they do. So what happens is that you wind up paying for the first set of everything but every time after that you can simply bring your worn pads and rotors back to the store and they will refund the money you just paid for the replacement set. Its literally free brake pads and rotors for life, you just have to do the labor yourself.

Some "Wild Man's Retreat". Wilderness. Hunting, Camping. Beer. The stag do you do when there are to be no strippers. Thats an excellent list then.

Why do you feel that is a worthy goal? It just seem like hubris to me. Of all the life forms on Earth, only this current version of humanity is worthy of immortality? To me, thats just a coping mechanism people use to mind trick themselves into feeling they arent mundane, arent alone, arent going to simply die and be forgotten by history, but will in fact live on for all of time. With that basis in mind, religon can then backfill in a bunch of stuff to influence peoples behavior.

No, because previous tests had eluded to the fact that it should exist. Big difference between blind faith and reasoned faith. IMO, faith is something we created because we cant accept that when we die its over. We feel were so special that it cant possibly just "be over" when our physical lives end, that our souls must live for eternity. That were such special lifeforms that we MUST transcend this mortal coil and become eternal beings. Because were so special.

I did totally think the first two pictures were real. And a user would slide the fake arm over a stump like how a peg leg is worn.

Huh, Ive never seen an "arm cannon" before. How did it work? Did you have to have a stump to slide it over?

Whoops, didnt mean for it to sound like a criticism but thats good that you wrote something.

^What choice would the player have? Cant heal, cant rez, and the only place to rest is at the few and far between "safe" places to rest.

My understanding is that any attack will simultaneously cause damage to both Stamina and Health just not on a 1:1 ratio and with limited / no healing and no resurrection it will lead to exactly the situations you describe below.

Hmm, the only difference being you installed IWD1 after installing Win 8 but IWD2 was already installed prior to upgrading to Win 8? Probably very unlikely to help but maybe uninstall / reinstall IWD2 now that Win 8 is installed?

Not to get too far into your personal life but since you shared....the memorial is not about you or your family members but to honor your fathers life. Perhaps it would be worth your while to bury the hatchet for an afternoon and go pay respects?

My settings --> Ignore Preferences --> Add a new user name.

Its already a case of diminishing returns. Damage taken affects both Stamina and Health, with only Stamina regenerating. For example, your level one mage has 20 Stamina and 10 Health. He takes an arrow to the knee that causes 10 Stamina damage and 5 Health damage. The next turn he takes another arrow for 10 Stamina and 4 Health and passes out (lol). The rest of his buddies kill the archer and the mage pops tall, regenerating all his Stamina but none of his health. The next encounter he gets hit by a flicked booger and drops dead. That sounds awesome.

So how will we recover health? Only by resting in hard to find rest locations?

Hopefully those different thresholds can be defined by difficuly settings and not basic game mechanics like resting and saving.

Didnt Disintigrate have a chance to destroy loot? I wonder if Carsomyr was scripted to prevent that or if an unlucky roll came up you could destroy it.
