At a minimum you have DSL, right Tep? Are you worried that the "phoning home" disk registration on the new consoles wont work properly at that speed or something else? Even Steam downloads may take you a bit longer but after that what about being "always online" makes you feel you will have problems?

Gah, I would never make it as a contract worker or commission only sales rep. I need the mental security of knowing exactly what I will be paid and that it will happen like clockwork every two weeks. The people interested in controlling how you play your game have many shifting reasons why it wont work, from it being "unrealistic" to "it breaks the game" to "verisimilitude" and everything in between. My personal favorite is the group that claims to be physically incapable of not pressing the "rest" button. That's right, apparently there are people that suffer under a crippling affliction that prevents them from not pressing any button labeled "rest". This condition does not manifest itself on any other button title, only the "rest" button, and in their opinion the only way to fix this is to force everyone else in the world to rest at specific locations. True story.

Im having a similar issue with Neverwinter Online. The respawn rate where I currently am is ramped up so fast that while youre battling one group, the group you just killed respawns and jumps you too.

WRT hunting, I don't have a problem as long as the animal is "used" (eaten, fur used for something, etc...). I do have a problem with killing animals for pure sport like shooting a rhino or elephant just to mount the head on your wall. Also, no killing endangered stuff. As to your question, power fists would be totally awesome but I would prefer gladiatorial mecha battles between humans. It doesn't have to be to the death, just until one mecha is incapacitated.
