When you say you " redid your fireplace " did you do this work yourself or did you pay someone to actually do it for you ? The description of work is by someone who did it himself, surely. It's oozing with manly self-industrious pride. Okay you probably right, the reason I asked is I'm really not good at DIY so I'm an admirer of people who have the skill to do this type of work themselves Lol, as MISO correctly deduced, I did the work myself. Im actually very handy with regards to DIY mechanical and electrical work. If its simple I can usually just look at it and figure it out and if its more complex I'll break down and RTFM.

Its a real fireplace, it just burns natural gas instead of wood. That's why the original logs were ceramic, to last forever. Wood burning fireplaces are for chumps. Waaaaaay too much work.

Completely redid my fireplace. Took out the ceramic logs and log holder thing, swept out all the lava rock and silica sand, replaced the gas feed to the burner and then put it back together. But instead of replacing the logs and holder we went with 1/4" fireplace glass rocks (copper and bronze color) and I installed a mirror finish stainless steel reflector on the back and sides. It came out awesome and the reflector really throws a lot of heat back into the room. Now I just need a new bear skin rug for in front. /giggity

I've been getting about 10-12k for every quest for awhile now. Once I hit 70, it dropped in the Outlands, but once I went to Northrend it was back to the big xp rewards. It's been moving pretty fast. Yup, I blitzed through with my DK, hunter and rogue with heirlooms. But after all that, thinking of schlepping through Outland, Northrend and then Cataclysm just made me worn out. I still need to level professions a bit, maybe the garrison system will help me with that. Don't you get to boost one of your toons to 90 instantly, for free?

Imo, "pausing" is not necessarily only tied to the mook speed (which is silly fast) but also the desynchronized rounds. With 6 party member each on their own individual "round" timers, I pause almost every second to make sure everyone is performing some action. Many times I would lose track of someone in the dogpile and they would just be standing there doing nothing, until I employed the all powerful "clog the door and autoattack to victory" strategy.

I was under the impression that first the spell had to "hit", then it has to overcome the various DT/DR/Resistances. Same as melee attacks. Is that not the case?
