My HS was typical suburbia of the time and from what I remember my teachers were engaged with the class and good at their craft. I never went to college. I didnt have the grades or the means. So I joined the military and they trained me up as an aviation electrician (although I had to take remedial math to get in the class, which I'm sure surprises nobody. ), which later got me a career.

Hmm, I agree and disagree. I don't think they were "one and done". Now they may not be able to pull off another whopper like 9/11 but what prevents a handful of likeminded radicals from getting automatic weapons and going wild? Their methodology is certainly effective for stirring up the public. I wonder why it hasn't happened yet is my question.

If I'm understanding your post correctly, I don't think mooks are afraid that the general US citizen is armed. They mostly plan on dying anyway. And I don't think we've got some secret method for intercepting plots. The "war on terror" has been going on for decades so it seem like someone would have bloodied our noses again by now. What could it be?

I'm not actually worried about getting shot up by bad guys. I'm wondering, literally, how many honest immigrants from those seven countries would be temporarily negatively affected by such a ban/vetting process? Aside, I do honestly wonder why we haven't suffered more organized attacks like those linked. Guns are a dime a dozen around here.
