Today is Sunday so that means I'll be furiously busting out my chores for the week; groceries, laundry. Then settle in for some football and garage drinking.

Caught a smallmouth bass and gave it to a dude a few poles down who was eyeing it enviously. As repayment he offered to give me some home made "Mexican carp bait" if I show up next Saturday. Now maybe some lunch and a restart of Stellaris. I think I need to build a giant murderfleet before I explore too much.

Stellaris. I'm really in over my head wrt trying to keep track of everything but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I just got my blood punched out by some aliens that destroyed my mighty 4 corvette fleet and promptly bumrushed my first off world settlement Sirius Prime. I still have no idea of what to be researching/building/updating/etc. and I just pick stuff at random that sounds good.

Hehe, TL;DR, there is a long line of successors from president all the way through the various Secretaries of . We even have a plan for a Designated Survivor who is kept separated and apart from the rest on occasions when everyone is meeting at one place.

I do a bit of a reverse on that. My father died when I was 7 and my mother when I was 17, so every time I live past one of those milestones for my kid, I feel like Ive accomplished something. Sorry, meant to pass on my condolences in the earlier post.

Death always makes me kind of sad. I'm not a spiritual man, so to me, death means the utter end of that being and all the things that made them unique.

XP should be rewarded for every action; combat, quest, individual class abilities (such as trap disarm or lock pick), etc. The only thing that sucks more than not seeing incremental improvements is level scaling.
