Because it is above freezing and due to the hella amounts of snow that we have on the ground the news channels are warning of flooding due to the snowmelt. Now I could walk down a few flights of stairs and check the operation of my sump pump, or I could do absolutely nothing at all to prepare for possible water intrusion. One of these actions can potentially prevent problems, while the other will allow me the opportunity to immediately whine into the internet the minute my service are restored.
