  1. Sounds like there will be a fair number of opportunities to negotiate your way around conflict or as he says in the interview itself "Chunks of them" as well. I still had my fingers crossed for a full pacifist option but I knew deep down it would never happen. Still pleased with what was said though.
  2. It may be an isometric game but this isn't 1995, the maximum resolution they are playing with isn't 800x600; Im sure you will be able to make out enough to see a certain level of layering etc. Having said that the system described in this thread would be way too much. The only armour on armour that would be nice to see would maybe be a robe over the top of light armour or something similar.
  3. when I read that i couldn't help thinking that the next time I go to snowdonia I had better keep an eye out for monsters. Im sure you didn't mean it like that but it made me laugh.
  4. It would be great if walking was default and if you wanted to run maybe do something like motor said and have a shift click. To avoid having you and your party acting like the greatest marathon runners in history maybe add a mechanic whereby running slowly reduces stamina at a varying rate depending on certain stats you may or may not have. Maybe then running would be a useful feature and when enemies broadcast aoe attacks or something similar you could run to get out of the way.
  5. Always remember, Oblivion truly brought this evil upon the world. Who could have foreseen such reckless facebook action iOS fun time! But now I'm just being angry and cynical and it makes me sad
  6. I like and have studied in depth the middle ages; at that time we were only a minor/middling power on the european stage. However from the middle to late 18th century to the early 20th century we did shape the world as we all know it today to a large extent. My mind just focuses around the middle ages Also i like talking about things like this, nothing personal Well i suppose I've done too much already to derail this thread, sorry. hmm quoted the wrong text, oh well you know what I'm referring to.
  7. England myself, don't quite agree with that though. Not exactly true is it...
  8. That is pretty awesome idea, it just probably isn't do-able. You would have to fairly simplistic riddles so the answer was only one, maybe two words. Would be amazing if it was realistically achievable though.
  9. I would very much like my own woods and a herb garden for concocting potions etc. Basically I would like some features that aren't all about combat.
  10. A western style monk would have no concept of zen, and the only way they'd know archery would be if they were former soldiers who decided to become monks. And they'd be giving up their vows to engage in combat of any kind. Unless the monk was English then he would know archery as it was law for all males to do archery practice and he would have done this when he was younger before taking any vows
  11. I quite like icons with individuality to an extent. For example the icons used for spells and skills in Dragon Age Origins. Have an illustration that is nice and simple and to the point with the other associated magic school/spell trees icons using the same colour palette.
  12. It would be nice if they made xp gains only for objective completion, as that way certain non lethal skills may actually be viable. The particular instance of this that I'm thinking of are the skills in arcanum such as "charm beast". You could make it through the crash site without killing any nice little wolves but you get no xp at all and lose out on about 2-3 levels right from the word go. So in terms of playing a character who isn't a killing machine and would rather not hurt things you wouldn't be penalised for not going on killing sprees and could gain xp just as effectively as a more violent approach. As I'm sure (fingers crossed) they are going to add skills with a slant towards a non violent approach, you could then theoretically (hopefully) go through the game with absolute minimum amount of killing and still level effectively and not nerf yourself by taking the pacifist approach.
