Save Game Editor... just make sure you dont change the number of exp points you have, your alignment or your level. This could inadvertently screw up the game and knowing how buggy it is already, we don't want to take those chances do we?

Oh btw, if the graphics in the review looked really crappy to you, it's because the reviewer was using the low quality texture pack.... Don't worry about the graphics part of it. Even though the engine is a year old, the graphics still look pretty good considering their age. Don't expect something ilke HL2 or Doom 3 but the graphics aren't crap either.

Sorry to be a little off topic but if you are an nVidia user, the 66.93 drivers give the best performance if you have a FX 59xx or 6800 series Card.

you dont know that yet since you havent personally played the pc version. buy the game when its released, play it and then if you do have these problems, then post about them. making a statement like you did doesnt really hold validity. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's true. Some people have written reviews on games being really buggy but when I've actually tried them out, I found maybe 1 or 2 odd bugs. Ofcourse, Darth Riker Ketra has a point there... Almost everybody reviewer has complained about the bugs including many users. Then again, many of these people are probably saying that because a few others have experience minor bugs and they just want to flame the game....

I believe the HDD Space required is somewhere near 3-4GB.

Yep, you'll only be running below the 30FPS mark 20% of the time. I've seen KotOR 2 running on my friend's brand new X-BOX. He even returned it (both the X-BOX and the disc) and the problem still persisted. Real fast...

Few sequels ever surpass the original... If they eliminated the bugs, KotOR 2 would certainly have done that. I am not giving up hope though especially since the PC version can be patched and it could still be a prime GOTY candidate or atleast have an honourable mention.

I'm not going to badmouth Obsidian (especially on their forums :D) but I am kind of disappointed. I thought that the PC version would have recieved a bit more attention and the bugs would have been addressed and fixed. I really thought that Obsidian which is composed of some of the best in the world would deliver a better product. In the end ofcourse, it was LucasArts that rushed them into speeding up the KotOR 2 development time so Obsidian can't be blamed 100%. I would have thought atleast that the developers would have looked at the bugs and fixed the problems in the PC version. I'm not going to go that far and say FABLE is better than KotOR 2 because thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I'll just say that I hope that Obsidian (if it develops K3) should spend more time debugging.

i think i must have been one of the lucky ones. i never actually had that bug. sure, hed lag behind the party once in a while, but hed eventually catch up without much trouble. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had quite a few of those party issues in the original KotOR. It's one of the reasons that I tried to beef up my character by giving him all the special items so that incase my NPCs were just being idiots, I could tackle all the enemies on my own.

That's like saying Exar Kun should have been disadvantaged because he used a blue double-bladed lightsaber. Maybe special crystals like Mantle of the Force and Heart of the Guardian should have LS and DS disadvantages and advantages but not standard crystals.
