Should there be a spoiler forum for PC users?
Darth Ni replied to DSLuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think any of that stuff will be in the PC version of KotOR 2... -
Watchman/Assasin : Like an improved Jedi Sentinel Master/ Lord : Like an improved Jedi Consular Weapon Master/Marauder : Like an improved Guardian

Bush and his outsourcing... You'd think that a president who had something close to a brain would come to power. Bush : "Jobs... what are Jobs? Uh... I need a soda and some french fries..." That is the president's average day... Maybe in 4 years a president will come to power and say "Hey! China is taking all our manufacturing jobs..."

Sorry, don't know him. Although, he could be my alter ego (w00t)... you never know these days... The galaxy didn't realize that about Sidious and Palpatine till it was too late. Muhahahhahahah! Yep... you got that right.

Ofcourse I am ... All kidding aside, I was fooled by that too. Those scheming folks at LucasArts... I hope so Commander, for your sake. The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am.

Well, if SOME people don't have the linguistic ability that others do, thats not a reson to ciritcise someone, is it? Obviously, he's going a bit far with things like Philosophy course but heh... -
It will probably come out on PC in CD and DVD formats. One DVD is much cheaper than 4CDs (It's much more economical :D)... My guess is they will produce a limited number of CD versions but the majority of the copies will be DVD. NEVER GO BY THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. I ran KotOR on a 350 (w/ a Ti 500) and it worked. I also tried running it on a friends 733 and my 900 and it worked on those machines aswell. When I tried running it on my other friend's 2.66, it had trouble because that machine had an Intel Extreme 2 card. I think the game is more GPU intensive than CPU intensive. A P3 866 should suffice...

Right now, you can get a 25% off dell notebooks discount... Much more rewarding to buy than recieve free of cost right?

Umm... I don't recall when in February LucasArts said it would release the game. All we know from the official site is February, 05. That is February 2005. Besides, what if they delay the game's release?

System Requirements for the PC version

There are female sandpeople in the enclave. -
Although I don't have the game, I hear its possible to go all DS and switch to LS halfway through the game. This way you can get DS characters to turn LS like Hanharr (big hairy wookiiee... or so I've heard). I thought the temple encounter was kind of unrealistic aswell...

Final? Are you sure its Final and not preliminary? I hope that you're right Hades... I also hope you didn't get this from LucasArts... So far LucasArts has done a pretty good job at making false promises... Sure, there will be Extra PC Content, Sure... there will be Swoop Upgrades, Sure... There will be simaltaneous release... Sure... -
Then I think I will enjoy driving my force pike through their heads. Lets see.... whats the best way to humiliate the big baddie? Force crush... How about Force Stun and then insanity... hmm.... How did you guys enjoy killing them? (NO SPOILERS PLEASE)

Hmm... MDG Computers uses a slightly different case. I've seen their computers in operation and they are fairly quiet. This is the case I think they use

PCI-E is good if you are buying a new PC. If you still have your old P4 (Socket 478), upgrading to PCI-E isn't worth it because you will have to buy a new Processor, DDR2 ram, and a PCI-E graphics card. If you want a new video card, just buy an AGP 8x video card. Besides, the 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition still isn't out for PCI-E boards... :D The 6800 Ultra EE from eVGA is being sold for $549 but thats if you win the "contest" to purchase it. I know what it sounds like... I would rather they just give you the card if you win Probably, but there's no real reason to stop using AGP. While the next generaiton of gahics cards *might* theoretically use more than the AGP transfer provides, I doubt it will really come close. Here's one thing that time has not rendered obsolete. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Notice how I said : However, if you have to buy a new motherboard, don't really bother. An AGP 6800 series card should be good for 2 or 3 years.

I wouldn't mind if they gave me a 99% discount on all items purchased The best place for discounts is Dell unless you own your own computer manufacturing business or know someone very very well... In October, they were offering 40% discounts and a free flat panel. In November, it was 30%. Now they are offering 25% of notebooks and 10% off desktops. Wait a week or two, the offers will change. You can get your dream system from Dell : 3.6 GHz Extreme Edition, 4GB of DDR2-533, X850 XT PE... *drools* PS: I got an alienware laptop as a gift, it came fully loaded w/ 1.5GB Ram, 3.4GHz EE, and a 6800 Go card. I tried running it on batteries and they died within 2 hours. Never go for alienware if you actually want to USE your computer where there is no wall outlet...

If you think Jedi Guardian is the most powerful class in K2, I think you are in for a little surprise. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Power to the Consular/Jedi Master (or Sith Lord...) character - even though I don't have the game yet .

There is no such thing as a 6800 Ultra GTO. There is a 6800 GTO, and there is a 6800 Ultra but no such thing as an Ultra GTO. A Ti 4200 will be fine for KotOR 2, according to the system requirements, the reccomended VC is Ti 4200, 9200 or better. Don't bother upgrading now.

So my AGP X 4 will work then? Even though my processor is slow? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AGP 4x has a transfer rate of 1.1GB/s. Sure an 8x AGP or 16x PCI-E slot will make the difference of a few frames but AGP 4x is fine for most games provided you have a good enough video card... By the way, your AGP transfer rate is not a fault of your processor, its your motherboard. If you have a P3 thats 800MHz or higher, you won't have any problems. (the requirements say 1GHz but they are wrong considering I ran KotOR on a 350... read more about it on the forums)

February 2005. LucasArts isn't being any more specific...
