  1. And that's why post counts suck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Medals would be nicer wouldn't they?
  2. The what function?
  3. What I would like to see: Improved Character Heads and also the ability to create your own head (like in the Sims 2) Better party members and more party member subquests Deeper and more involved romance subplots More worlds to visit (Like CORUSCANT!)
  4. [Rambling] Would have been one of the best RPGs of all time IF IT WERENT FOR THE GODDAMNED BUGS!!! The graphics are fine if you ask me unless you want everything to look like Doom 3 or HalfLife 2. I don't really care about the graphics too much and they look pretty nice even though they are 2 years old. Its mainly those evil bugs... [/Rambling] Forgive the rambling, I'm trying to get 800 posts!
  5. They don't deserve one. They practically released an alpha version of the game as a retail verison. Obsidian may have great writers but not great coders. This game needed atleast a month or two of polish. What they do deserve is a swift kick in the balls considering that they made the PC users wait another 3 months and the PC verison still had the same god damn issues the X-BOX version had. It's inexcusable. I would much rather tolerate a game that's been delayed by 2 months than have a buggy game. Besides, even if the game was buggy, LucasArts should've got a team from Obsidian working on a patch. I read here that KotOR 1's 1.01 patch was out before the game was out (been posted on this forum somewhere else). If LucasArts did the same thing with KotOR 2, it might have been a better game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed Darth Ni, i heard that Obsidian is working on the patch right now aka the North American Retail patch to fix the bugs, etc. I will not name my sources. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Chris Avellone or Mike Gallo? We need a more reliable source
  6. WooHoo!!! SaveGame editor!!!
  7. For anyone else who would like to try it, I have a save right after the prologue. Is there a way for me to post it here? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Zip your savegame folder. Below Post Icons, there is a category called FILE ATTACHMENTS. There is a browse button, click on it and select the savegame archive. then click OK and click ADD THIS ATTACHMENT.
  8. Anybody tried KotOR on a 74GB 10000RPM SATA drive? Any performance increase? (That's what's in my new rig)
  9. Anybody know where I can get a savegame editor? :D... TK 102 is working on one or so I hear. I tried using the original KotOR savegame editor to read my save game files. I can read the majority of statistics but I'm not able to see all of them and none of the new feats or force powers are available... ( Does anybody know? :'( I need a savegame editor...
  10. Use RivaTuner, your Catalyst Control Center (or w/e its calledl, I dont have an ATi) or just check your motherboard BIOS.
  11. Buy an nVidia solution then... :D No problem on my beautiful Asus 6800 Ultra :D (OC'ed to 570/1.2)
  12. Something worthwhile or... giving it to me... (hint hint)

  14. Yep 1.0 KotOR was pretty buggy but nowhere as near as bad as KotOR 2... Or atleast thats what some people think. I am annoyed with the crashes but this game is much better than the original KotOR if you ask me... I enjoyed blowing his ship up in Mission 15 But damn did those planet killers piss me off.. That's ok I finished them off without a single hit on Hiigara.
  15. Yup :D I love nVidia... I am building an SLi but I'm not going to be a retard and buy 2 cards at once. My System: AMD Athlon64 FX-55 (I got this processor for $600 on NewEgg!) Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe ($190) 2GB (512*4) Corsair DDR 400 (It cost me $400 in total) Asus 6800 Ultra ($600) 2*WD 74GB SATA 10,000RRM (came to $400) - Raid 0 400GB Hitach Deskstar 7200RPM SATA 16X DVD+/-RW (NEC ND3500 - $60) 16X DVD-ROM/52X CD-RW ($40) Cooler Master Wave Case w/ 550W OCZ PSU ($120) Thermaltake K450 ($25) Leadtek ''EXPERT'' PCI TV/FM Tuner Card with Remote AND... Don't laugh... 15 inch CRT monitor.... ( I'm still debating though... Should I grab an Audigy 2 ZS or something? Also, any idea on budget speakers? I've been looking at the Z-5300 but I'm not sure... Help? *NOTE* - Parts still arriving... Everything will be here before the end of the week I'm going to buy another 6800 Ultra when the next series of cards comes out. That way, I can still show off ). What do you guys think?
  16. Ooohh Ooohhh pick me! I have a solution to a problem. It will fix all the bugs... Don't get Obsidian to code the game...
  17. Ok... its just been confirmed... they're smoking crack. I have checked on pretty much every LucasArts source and they have no mention of a patch that will actually addres the issues IN the game and not IN THE MANUAL... LucasArts' brainstorming session: Umm.... lets see... Let's give them a patch and say that it has enhanced compatibilty with ATi cards. But instead, lets not actually fix the problem. We're going to put a friendly "Works with ATi" logo on the loadiong screen to proove that the game works with ATi cards. How does that prove that it works with ATi cards? Umm.... you see.... it works with ATi cards because... because you still have an operating system on your computer after installing KotOR 2 and using an ATi card and therefore it works wtih ATi cards... END Right.... Maybe the PC community should code themselves a patch...
  18. Yes... patch... lets hope it fixes something other than the manual next time. That would definetly be a step in the right direction . In LucasArts' marketing room : Umm... This game supports ATi cards... It doesn't cause the system to reboot or anything after installing the game... Therefore, I conclude that we should release this game. It supports ATi cards... I take it everyone is in agreeance... Yep... right ok, end of session.
  19. this patch only fixes the corrupt Manual PDF file in the Euro release. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Figures.... That's where their priorities are... bastards.... I may be one of the lucky ones that haven't encountered any problems yet (apart from a very small typo glitch), but there are really people waiting for this and they fix tha manual..... great..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> [sarcasm] What are you guys talking about? The Manual is the most important part of the game. It tells us all the information like the credits... and... yea.... See how important it is? The game doesn't have any bugs you whiners! It only crashes for most people every hour and refuses to work on systems with ATi cards (that is unless you get the drivers and disable the Vertex bla bla bla). Heh heh... who says the game crashes? The Manual should be the top priority for LucasArts as EVERYBODY reads the manual first... I'm sure they do... *looks around the room* [/sarcasm] This is just pathetic. The game has a million other problems but they need to fix the manual which doesn't even have useful information! Then on top of that, they don't even release a patch for North America (not that I'd want it anyways...). Are the tech support dudes just smoking crack or something? Maybe for their next patch, they shouldn't actually mention what it fixes and just release it.... sheesh.... retards.
  20. Boba, I would post my swkotor.ini file if I could but unfortunately my computer is being upgraded with some nice equipment. Maybe one of the other users could help you there.
  21. Wait... No North America patch? That's the stupidest thing I've heard. I mean LucasArts and Obsidian are both based in the US but they haven't released a patch for North America yet? Ofcourse, they could just be polishing the patch or something . Just like they polished the PC version... *shudders*
  22. Is there a list of fixes?
  23. I'd just like to say that you have no idea whatsoever of what you are talking about. Laptops can be used for gaming considering I have KotOR 2 running on my laptop. If you think that laptops arent available today with powerful graphics solutions, you are wrong. I have an nVidia 6800 GO w/ DDR3 and it runs KotOR beautifully. Ofcourse due to the 12 or 16 (don't remember which) pipeline architecture, it offers a huge increase in performance when compared with a Mobility Radeon 7500. The Mobility Radeon does actually have T&L capabilities as it says on ATi's site. Besides, many people have used the card to play KotOR I so it obviously supports Hardware T&L since the game has the same engine. Don't get the performance I expect? That's very interesting. My 6800 GO can be overclocked to some high clock speeds and I get even better performance out of it than my friend does with his X800 XL. I ran a 3DMark05 benchmark and I got 4800 marks which is not bad for a laptop. My laptop specs: (A gift) P4 3.4GHz EE w/ 2MB L3 Cache 1.5GB Ram nVidia 6800 GO w/ DDR3 60GB 7200 RPM HDD *New addition* I got a model replacement from Alienware and I upgraded to a WUXGA+ w/ a built in Digital Camera, and Integrated TV Tuner.
  24. There are bound to be issues with any game. However, most of the problems in KotOR 2 revolve around ATi cards. I pity the suckers who bought 'em. I have a 5200, 5950 Ultra, and a 6800 Ultra and I haven't exprienced any troubles with the game. Ofcourse, I can't speak for the sucky Ti series )
