Well I also got a lot of lip from Atton when I turned up in my undies (female PC) and he seemed disappointed when I finally found some clothes, so I went back to him in my draws again and he said *nothing*. I beat KotOR 2 once but I'm playing it for the second time. What's strange is that I never had this bug before. Anyways, I am just about to leave for the Ravager. I see the cutscene with the Republic Fleet arriving and then the game just crashes to the desktop. I have : 1)Made sure that the antivirus software has been disabled 2)Closed all other background programs 3)Done my best to emulate the conditions during which I played the first time

Why i always experiencing the instant restart during game play, my machine is running fine for half life2 at 1600*1200, 6xaa, 8xaf, all other set to highest. don't tell me kotor2 require higher machine than hl2. amd 4000+ asus a8n sli deluxe 1024 ballistix ddr 500 ram x850 xt audgy2 raptor 74g x2 in raid 0 ........... At the early part of the game it's also fine to me but things get mad after leaving telos, randomly instant restart.........i have already refund the game, restart like that will do harm to my machine!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup, I can run HalfLife 2 on my computer and I KNOW that the requirements for HL2 are much more than for KotOR 2.... It's probably because of the game's inefficient and untweaked engine. PS: That's a nice rig you have there, my new rig is going to be SLI aswell. I'm still building it. I just have a quesiton though, why did you use an ATi card on an SLI mobo? That way, you can't take advantage of the SLI MultiGPU technology. You don't have to buy both cards now. What I am doing and would reccomend is : 1) Buy ONE 6800 GT (It runs pretty much any game out there with a high level of detail) 2) Wait for the next series of GPUs to come out and the price of the 6800 to drop 3) Purchase another 6800 GT from the same company (and make sure the BIOS is the same too) 4) Install the card This way, even though you have a card one generation older than the current, you will have a MASSIVE rendering improvement after you install the second card. Make sure that before you leave for the Telos Restoration Zone that you talk with the Lieutenant. If you don't, you won't be able any of the sidequests such as Bounty Hunting, New Fuel Source, and Batu Rem. Update : I'm looking at the Booleans and Numerical values that trigger the different cutscenes or conversation options. So far, I haven't had any luck fixing this bug. Any Ideas?

This savegame editor is great. Does anybody know where I can grab a camera hack aswell? I'd like to see certain locations from different angles.

If I understand what your asking, you also have to have a "high" enough light/dark side rating to choose a prestige class. Level 15 is only one of the triggers for the dialog choice with Kreia. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup, my alignment was 100 (50 is neutral). I'll try it again and see how it goes.

No luck. I've decided to start again because I was already at Dantooine (the second time) but I still haven't gotten to choose my second prestige class. What exactly is Kreia talking about when she asks the main character if he/she felt that (that Lord Nihilus...).

Alienware laptops are made by Uniwill, a Taiwanese company. Voodoo PC Laptops are made by Clevo, another Taiwanese company. Both companies take the laptop chassis, disassemble it, give it a new paint job, add a few markings and voila. Voodoo PC has a better rating than Alienware but I still think Alienware laptops are pretty good. But, just a bit of info : Lately, people who have ordered Alienware laptops have had some problems and Uniwill as of recent has had trouble with meeting the production deadlines. But anyways, I have an Alienware laptop and I haven't had a single problem with it. I have: P4 3.4GHz EE 1.5GB DDR2 533 nVidia 6800 GO w/ DDR3 60GB 7200 RPM HD It runs KotOR 2 fully maxed out w/o any lag.

I am playing KotOR 2 and I have finished 3 planets Some of my party members are at level 17. I know that when I go past level 15 (and talk to Kreia), I get the choice to choose if I want to become a Jedi Master, Weapon Master or Watchman. This all makes sense but when I talk to Kreia she murmurs something about Lord Nihilus and she asks me if I felt "that"... I have no clue if this is just a bug or something. Anybody have any insights to offer? (please? :'( )

I don't listen to the BS the Resident Cynic dumps out. It's mainly garbage... The game was great if you ask me. I grabbed the latest nVidia drivers and after that, I had no crashes. The game could have been better but then again so can anything.

There are restrictions on filetype exitensions for uploading...I use Winrar and that's why it doesn't work...I'll see if I can figure something else out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll try it in a .zip format... I find it hard to believe that that's the fault of the game.... A game, no matter how complex is not responsible for overheating a card.... This sounds more like faulty drivers or something like that.... especially since my 9800 Pro is performing like a dream in thes game (KotOR2)... I didn't have a single slowdown, so that rules the game engine out.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was my belief at first as well. However, after playing Half-Life 2, Doom 3, BFME and pretty much every new graphically advanced game perfectly on my old 9800 Pro without any overheating issues whatsoever. So, I find it quite odd that both the old and new cards got fried whilst playing KotOR and it's sequal. It's a bit too much for me to just take as a mere coincidence, as I'm also very careful with which drivers I use (As any ATI user should be), and I know that my rig has more than enough cooling to handle the most graphically advanced game. On top of all this, I've heard of quite a lot of people other than me who has had their hardware permanently damaged while playing KotOR. On the other hand, there are plenty of ATI users seems to run the game just perfectly fine so I'm not sure where the real issue lies, but it's obviously related to the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In the nVidia control panel there is an option to turn the graphics card on or off. I'm assuming that there is something like this in the catalyst control center. Maybe KotOR 2 causes some driver conflicts and your fan fails to operate or something. Also, your computer could be misreporting your temperatures. At one time, my 6800 Ultra card said it was idling at 73C but when I reloaded a game and closed it, the temperature dropped to 40C Idle.

Doom 3 or HalfLife 2 I can understand but KotOR 2 is nowhere as near as graphics intensive as those games and the game certainly doesn't need to use such a powerful card to such an extent that it will cause overheating. That's the main reason I purchased a 6800 Ultra - The BIG fan allows for tremendous overclocking and dissipates A LOT of heat.

True we never saw a tv commercial for kotor 2, there was one for kotor. Well i gotta ask you guys a question. Which developer you think is good... either Bioware or Obsidian Entertainment? Be honest here. I think Bioware is good (w00t) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They both have strenghts and weaknesses. Obsidian Entertainment has an amazing story developing team which is far superior to BioWare's story development team. The difference is that BioWare is stronger in the programming/coding aspect of game development. BioWare has more and more experienced programmers and thus they manage to lick the bugs clean.
