  1. I've played through TSL many a time but annoyingly enough I've yet to see all the robes, or even the majority if the liste provided via StarWarsKnights is accurate. The thrill of the chase only compels me further though!
  2. It was a vintage year for graphics and the fruit of its once burning loins have aged well.
  3. Will the PS3 be backwards compatible in the spirit of its handsome yet aged elder brother? I pur-chased an x-box last generation, thus missing out on so many bizarre Japanese RPG's. I don't know which to go for this time around.
  4. Well, I was specifically looking for a Jedi Sentinel build, hence the title. But then, I didn't really explain myself as well as I should have, did I. Thank you anyway though!
  5. I'm restarting TSL and very much looking forward to doing so might I add, but... I was wondering if anyone could offer me some suggested attributes to optimize my character. What in your opinion is necessary and what... well, isn't? Thanks for your time.
  6. Oh yes! Well spotted, I hadn't even noticed! Perhaps Atton, to prevent questions and further safeguard his past misdemeanors simply lied.
  7. I would certainly never refer to KOTOR as a masterpiece. In some ways TSL is a vast improvement over the original, in others not so much, but I enjoyed the overall complexity much more. For every muddled happenstance (i.e. the awkward reunion of the remaining Jedi) there was a moment of sheer brilliance, that first dialogue with Atris being a prime example. In fact dialogue overall was a vast improvement over KOTOR, the exile is given the chance to be a fully fleshed out protagonist with depth and history. History! A fantastic approach to the past, the fact that we never SEE the conflict, we can only hear it from different perspectives and make our own judgments. I think it an enormously effective tactic, drawing the player in, forcing us to think and to question. As for undeveloped characters, the depth (of lack there of) of Nihilus and Sion is to be expected given the overall theme of secrecy. To some extent they are decoys for the real antagonist whose depth and motivation put a thuggish Malak to shame. And Atris, oh Atris. To be honest we are given plenty of allusions towards her character and her feelings towards the exile, past and present. Though flawed you have to admire TSL's subtlety and the regard it extends towards the player, allowing us to actually think and deduce as much as we like, as opposed to being told.
  8. What does it matter what they cut. The finished article is more than satisfactory.
  9. Really? And how do you do that? Is it a workbench glitch?
  10. Ahh, I see. Thank you. I've juiced up my double wielding feat but I can't find anything but short lightsabers to use in the offhand.
  11. I apologize for to overall crapp-ee-ness of this question but, having made my lightsaber on Dantooine how exactly do I build another and where might I acquire the parts?
  12. The Metal Age is the best of the trilogy, surely.
  13. Well, lets be honest here, TSL is frankly an impressive game and if anything has marred its success its the ungodly high expectations of people like you. In the words of Kuato (of Total Recall fame) 'open your mind' or else, in the words of Benny (also of Total Recall fame) 'I'm gonna drill you sucker!' Hmm. That made more sense in my head.
  14. I'm replaying through Planescape at the moment. Haven't done so in years and I'm reminded of how incredible a game it is. I can't offer much else that hasn't already been mentioned though. Planescape, the Baldur's Gate series, Arcanum. [sHAFT] It's all good, baby. [/sHAFT] I see someone has mentioned the fantastical Thief trilogy however. Perhaps I could recommend Deus Ex or Invisible War? I'm not sure how relevant that is to the topic though. Out of interest ... Septerra Core. A western effort at a Final Fantasy style game. Has anyone played it? I've read mixed reviews.
  15. I think Kreia is one of the best video game characters I've ever encountered, but she is more than a little critical when it comes to Atton. By the way Eji. Is that your artwork? It looks great.
  16. I dislike how so many fixate on the few short comings. TSL was a consistantly entertaining and involving game, more so than the original. Yes, it had a flawed ending, but this was a flawed ending to a thrilling game. I look forward to all Obsidians future projects.
  17. I'm using the short haired hispanic PC head. I've taken a shine to him, like I did to scarface beardo in the original KOTOR.
  18. Not so much a real ending as an alternate one. As to whether they should change it, no. The game has been released. Whats done is done.
  19. Why repost irrelevant topics?
  20. He was a well devoloped character. The backlash was part of some irrational homoerotic love of Snake.
  21. Could he not, hire something out?
  22. Will you people stop complaining. Do you have nothing better to do? No body owes you anything.
  23. The nameless one can't die and neither do you while playing the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That could have been very funny.
