  1. "According to various reports, Obsidian Entertainment - developing house of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords - is currently working on an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game. Although the actual title hasn't been revealed, chances are at least reasonable that it's the third Star Wars game in the Knights of the Old Republic series, currently labeled KOTR 3. We'll keep you updated if Obsidian makes any official comments." Bollocks.
  2. Hmm. I thought TSLs dialogue was one aspect that proved to be far better than KOTOR. The amount of options lent to the role-playing depth and as for attribute related dialogue, it will always be welcome to pop in, kick back and relax in my boudoir. And so, to summarize... I disagree.
  3. I much preferred the bare chest-ed delights of Jiub. Had a nasty habit of waking people up though. Look Jiub, you got no business waking me up, you hear!
  4. If you've played Freelancer and are still willing to try another space-faring game, I suggest trying out Escape Velocity: Nova. Graphically it's quite inferior, but the gameplay generally blows Freelancer out of the water. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Really? How so? I enjoyed Freelancer a fair bit, occasionally a little tedious though.
  5. With Freelancer finished I'm torn between TSL, Pirates and Nexus: TJC. All fine games; I've dabbled in each of them to tell you the truth... like some greasy software gigolo.
  6. Freelancer. My first play through. Though the missions are a tad repetitive I can't help but enjoy the main campaign. Those bloody krauts never change. Willl they ever learn?
  7. The game of risk.
  8. Beneath Engine.GameInfo I added the line "GameSpeed=0.900000". Odd thing is though, each time I return to the game after exiting the clockspeed has reverted back to godspeed. I have to reedit the ini again despite the line already being there. Strange.
  9. David Gaider mentioned at the DA forums that he'd like to do a hetrosexual brother in arms type relationship which I think would be very interesting. Everyone loves romances and hot bathtub lovin, we know this, but how about some well developed friendships as well.
  10. So, thanks to Crash and Ininios over at gamespy's forums I finally managed to correct the speed by editing the ini! Not sure if I'm even in the mood to play Deus anymorethough. Might delete it. "
  11. The obvious choices really. Grim Fandango, if only for the endless beatnik poetry, "don't pet the cat that way, the telephone is for me" Ahh, remember peak period LA. Sam and Max, Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island. Great Times. Also BG, SOA, TOB, PS:T and other abbreviations as well. Though Deus Ex and Anachronox were both fine games too. The scene when Boots and Grumpos are asking for the gangrenous sock = brilliance.
  12. You beautiful jagged alliance type person! These threads have given me a few things to try out. Sounds like the clockspeed is the root of the problem.
  13. Bought a shiny new laptop recently, not a bad spec, mid range I suppose. Unfortunately it runs Deus Ex too fast meaning dialogue is cut short and characters are roadrunner esque is speed (Paul really needs to cut down on his skittles). I figure since the game is so popular, especially here, I can't be the only one to encounter this problem. I've had a quick google for patches, nothing yet. Any ideas?
  14. Uhm.. In Gothic you're playing a nameless criminal that starts out by getting tossed into a prison. Then you have to side with one of the three gangs inside the prison to be able to break out (actually destroy the entire prison).. You can't switch gangs though and there are no wardens. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn krauts stole your idea!
  15. Damn feminazis, when will they learn.
  16. Hmm? My post? Deleted? Must have been considered a spoiler.
  17. "They just kept on saying 'sp--' and 'stupid n---ers,' A sp--? What in blue blazes is a sp--? Long ago I knew a young man by the name of Black Jesus on atease, a Radiohead message board, and never, not once did it occur to me that he could possibly be black. I tend to assume all Internet folk are WASPs. Nice guy though, sent me a leaked copy of an early Batman Begins script. I never saw him again and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. Where are you BJ... and why don't you reply to my emails.

I don't care what they say about you. You're an ok guy in my book. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Final Fantasy VIII if you're in the mood for love. Its cheesy, oh you'd better believe its cheesy, but it has some great moments. The train hijacking, the assassination attempt, the epic battle between two flying... universities. It will be fondly remembered in my minds... eye, might replay it soon actually. "
  19. Possibly in the years to come, there's plenty of waiting and seeing to be done. Whatever the platforms misgivings though, there are some promising titles on the way that I'll be keeping my beady eyes on.
  20. I could stretch to 800, I think. Its the building that sounds ominous... I got my dad to build all my lego, I just destroyed it. I'm out of my depth.
  21. Thanks for the fast feedback eku! A monitor would preferably be included, at the moment I'm on a brick of a laptop, the damn thing can't even run Arcanum, so I'm in need of the works I suppose.
  22. Bonjour! Turns out I'm in the process of pur-chasing a new desktop PC and, being unversed in such lingo, I was hoping I could gauge your opinions and consume your advice (like so much stale pizza) on reliable brand names, rewarding set ups, what to look for etc. Thinking about it, I don't even know what the average spec is these days. Is 3.00 GHz good? I remember the heady days of the P166. You couldn't go wrong with a 166. Or 133, I forget which. At the moment I'm cruising Dell for offers, and looking to spend... hmm... 700 English pounds at most. I'm a lowly student you see. http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products...dhs1&l=en&s=dhs So how does the above machine sound, anything you'd care to recommend? Thanks in advance!
  23. At the moment, BG2:SOA\TOB. With a few choice mods too. Might switch to Skies of Arcadia on the DC though. Thats the kind of turncoat I am.
  24. You may think me a frigid puritan but, like bubble wrap, Hack 'n' Slash is the invention of the devil.
