  1. Yeah, but thats just a buch of old toasters. They shouldnt have any significant impact on the main conflict. And Razor did establish that the hybrids were invented during the first human-cylon war, right? It'll be fun to see if they stick to that.
  2. Whoah! And as of that sentence I cannot hold my mouth shut for any longer. This will not stand, dude. Japan has done nothing for the last 60 years BUT retaliate for the two tiny wee nukes we might have dropped on them. It started out small with their souless and unattractive cars, and now it has reached all the way down ot our children. The CHILDREN, man. Just last week we had to put down an entire kindergarten class after they had been exposed to just 2 minutes of Naruto. And millions of the worlds youth are wasting their lives away mimicking lewd and immoral Japanese behaviour on sites such as 4chan. And I still havent forgotten about 1985. The year famed japanese electro-terrorist Yamaha-Suzuki (or whatever his name is), unleashed Super Mario Brothers on an unsuspecting world. And Might I add that if you turn just one letter of Osama Bin Ladens name upside down, it becomes.. a japensese name Osawa Bin Laden. So, for the sake of all that is good and true (and the children), we must re-nuke Japan for their relentless cultural aggression towards the west. If we all pulled together as a team, we could stop the madness with just 5% of our collected us-euro-russian nuclear weapon stock. Then we could go back to driving our ford mustangs and watching harmless disney cartoons (or in swedens case, our Saab turbos and socialist bamse cartoons) this post is SO not off-topic.
  3. I think it may be that Edward James Olmos will snowboard over a sharktank in the next episode.
  4. Before this you could dismiss the weird stuff that happened because it was just religious crap and hallucinations. But to actually retcon the whole history of the Cylons in one fell swoop is too much. I hope it turns out to be some kind of cylon mindfrak trap to confuse the humans into making a mistake.
  5. I dont like these turn of events at all, it makes no sense whatsoever that the cylons would be thousands of years old. This is starting to feel like the writers are doing a "lost"
  6. I thought it was way too short, each scenario only takes about an hour to play so you pay full price for a 4h game.
  7. What was that about Top Gear he briefly mentioned in the traidnderworld review? I hope he isnt saying that Top Gear australia is a decent show, because its rubbish! The bad kind of rubbish. Three aussie blokes with less collective charisma and wit than Richard Hammonds left shoelace.
  8. MY MOTHERBOARD CAN ONLY TAKE 8GB AND I NEED 7.5GB OF IT. so stop hogging it, software mogul bastards.
  9. Vista is bloated and slow, which is bad. When you get something new, you expect it to be better than the old thing. Im running Vistax64 because there werent enough stable drivers for XP64 and it works fine as long as I 1) buy a 10,000RPM raptor disk to compensate for the increased load times 2) hack and disable a whole ****load of features I dont need. I shouldnt have had to do that, a new OS should be faster and better than the old one. Or if thats not possible, offer enough cool stuff to compensate. The first I heard about Windows 7 is that they were going for a fast and streamlined OS compltely opposite to Vista. But now all I hear about is the other bloat-sounding feature after the other.
  10. I disagree with everything you say. I may be somewhat of a Mass Effect fanclub member, but it quite evident that you're just complaining because ME didnt rub you the KOTOR way. Its all just a bunch of completely useless opinions, and there is no point in debating for or against a personal opinion.
  11. But we would also have a lot of people with Ak47s and homemade bombs readily available, getting pot-psychosis and that would ruin the fun for everyone else.
  12. Ive read about the use of white phosphor in other sources as well, although in the Swedish papers there was nothing about people actually witnessing the usage, just doctors reporting patients that seemed to have been injured by something like WP. But it wouldnt be strange at all if the Israeli used it against hamas, the US admitted to using WP as an incendiary/anti-personel weapon against insurgents in Iraq. IMO, its a horrible weapon and should be banned along with chlorine gas and so on, but its still semi-legal to use. here's reuters take on it http://alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/LA617723.htm
  13. Unbreaking News: Swede-sponsored clinic destroyed by Israel http://www.dn.se/DNet/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=3561&a=872516 As with the ambulance, no one was in the building when it was destroyed so I couldnt find any english articles about this. The clinic was a maternity thing that was being rebuilt into an ER. The israelis did warn people in the area to evacuate before they destroyed it so no one was hurt in the incident. There was no mention of hamas anywhere, so Im wondering what reason Israel could have had to destroy it? Just a strategic move to deny hamas a place to hide in, or some crazy plan to encourage palestinians to emmigrate by systematicly destroying the infrastructure in gaza? It was in the Swede news, but I did find an english link here http://www.norwaypost.no/content/view/21467/26/ I suspect it didnt make news because no one was the vehicle at the time it was destroyed,
  14. No, they're not. Definently not. Its two entirely different skillsets to know how to pace a level, and artisty stuff like how to make a good concrete material. The best level, to use a truism, is one that has been playtested thouroughly and allowed to grow based on a cycle of redesign and testing until all kinks have been worked out and everything is optimal.
  15. From where I come from, level design is all about gameplay and function. You have concept art detailing the general look and specific locations or vistas of a level, but the level designer himself is not an artist; he's a toolkit-monkey. His job is to implement assets, encounters and events into an area to make it fun to play.. oops! ran out of time BRB
  16. There are lots of "game maker" programs out there like multimedia fusion and torque2D that doesnt require any skills at all and contain loads of readymade content. This lazy jerk at my Uni even managed to sneak an MF game past the review board and get credits for it
  17. The Israeli blew up a Norwewigan ambulance early this morning. It was willfully destroyed by a laserguided missile despite having clear markings. And as this is clearly an act of war, the Norweigan commonwealth has declared war against Israel. Given the diminuitive size of Israel, three Norweigan riflemen will be enough to occupy the entire country.
  18. I just had a racegasm from playing CTDP's Formula One 2006 mod for Rfactor http://www.ctdp.net/f1-2006.html I havent been this blown away by a game in.. I dont know, maybe ever. They're using this sweet physicsmod called RealFeel aswell that lets you feel every force and effect working on the car. Its amazing. WOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEHH!!!! this is what I look like playing this game... in my mind.
  19. I know, a screenshot is in the printshop as we speak. I think Im going with an elegant glossy black frame to better match the forums colour scheme.
  20. Aw, come on. BioWare only included the mass of generic planets to please all those "explorer" players who like crawling through millions of same-looking caves gathering loot. If they hadnt included them, you numbnuts would be complaining about how the game was too linear and un-freeroaming. ME is the best game ever to come out of BioWare, and probably the best they will ever make short of ME2.
  21. 2x cards are usually more trouble than they're worth, my summer with SLi taught me as much. One humongous card is the best, ATi is rubbish as usual, my friends who bought 4000-series card cant play PoP for instance because the drivers are the usual ATI quality.
  22. Since the fanfic itself seems to be complete rubbish, its only fair that your desciption reflects that fact. So its good that its very bad.
  23. It's already been surpassed by Gears of War 2. It's art is much more striking than the ever boring jungle-military-camp stuff that Crysis displayed. The strength of CryEngine2 is the way it can render very large and good looking outdoor forrest areas, whereas Unreal3.x is unsurpassed when it comes to smaller indoor and streetlike levels. But U3 has outrun CryEngine2 a bit lately with its sweet cinematic effects, animation and physics system. Realtime ambient occlusion, can you even imagine just how friggin' cool that is? But ID Software's Tech5 is definently going to be a killer aswell, itll be able to render these huge and very detailed landscapes with no loading times at all. Not like FO3 for example, wher you can clearly see the game swapping between different LODs and stutter a bit as new content is loaded. *YAWN* EGO is where it's at! EGO smells. If you really want the shiznitz, Rese (pronounced reah-zeh) is where its at. Now, I cant show you anything from it except this awesome photograph from the office in which it is being co-developed. click. Nevermind the mac, it was a gift thats used solely for pornography. We artist people use U3 for the current project though.

  25. Fantasy is dead, there will be no more D&D games for a looooong time, if ever. The comic was so much better its not funny. Yup, thats one more example of source material butchery. They completely and utterly missed the point of the comic. I dont even understand why they even used the license, all they used in the film was the title and two or three lines. Its like buying the license to superman and then making a film about a bicycle repairman. The film, despite being a crapfeast in every single way, did have some entertaining action sequences though. So ludicrous that they made you giggle.
