Mkreku, you sacreligious bufoon! Do you dare mock the sweet singing voice and sizzling songwriting talent of this man!? (btw, William Shatner came out with a new hit album only last year)

A bit of Tantacle-rape is always refreshing.

D&D bums are among the worst. They live in their horrible little basement/attic rooms among "kewl" airbrushed posters of dragons and dice sets, spending their time reading books from the most whored of all pulp genres when they are not engaged in playing their horrid little backwards-striving excuse of an RPG

Ladies & gentlemen! Welcome to May's round of "kicking downwards" humor which is a smashing multiple-class nerd tournament directly following the widely popular "Are you a tragic Star Wars nerd?" My personal preference of loathing is those weenie Harry Potter nerds, not only are they obsessing about a product specificly aimed at children of ages 13 and downwards, but they come from the most diverse and unsound backgrounds of any nerdcult in that they attract socially challenged people from all ages. And very few of them can excuse their high age with "I was there from the start".

Fav Half-Life2 Character
Kaftan Barlast replied to Padmi Skydrunkard's topic in Computer and Console
I downloaded the Hl2 demo today to see what all the hype was about, the gameplay is good but the engine have nothing on ID Software or CryTek. Sure, there's some bumpmapping and hi-res textures but nothing groundbreaking. (I used a Radeon X800 256 GFX with 6x AA, 16xAF in 1024x768) -
If you take a LEGO helicopter and throw it down a fligght of stairs, it breaks into a number of pieces relative to the height of the stairs and the force by which it was thrown.

did you miss the part about they provide a better education for LESS MONEY! so tell me, if they spend less per student, why are they able to pay their teachers better? you just made the argument for capitalism and didn't even know it. not unusual, however. That is not true for private schools in Sweden. Although there are special purpouse private schools(for moslems f.ex) that exist on the same budget as public schools, all of the "posh" schools have significantly higher budget and resources. It would be impossible for such a school to provide the kind of education they do without that. I simply dont believe what you're saying, the only way that make sense is if you compare the overall budget for a 150 student Private school with a 10000 student public school, and then itd just be a case of faulty statistics. How would you be able to get more for less?! you're not serious, are you? this is one of the most ridiculous things to come out of you yet. btw, i wasn't an immigrant, nor "stupid white trash" (notice only those that don't have an argument seem to use inflammatory language) yet i managed well enough and i'm now working on a phd. hmmm... Well, it was put more than a little rough. Let me rephrase that to: Students that go to private schools come from wealthy, well-educated upper-middle/upper class families, and have much better basic conditions. i suppose that's why they do better on standardized tests, particularly college entrance exams? exactly where did you uncover this ridiculous evidence? coincidentally, this is something you actually refuted in #2 above... you know the whole "better teachers" bit? That they do better on standardized tests is largely because of what I stated above. I have several friends and aquintances from the world of private schooling and when we compare notes, it no doubt that they were treated much better by their teachers. Its difficult to really describe it but whereas my teachers considered MVG(the top grade) reserved for the chosen elite, their teachers viewed it as the standard. Whereas I got 100% on the national english exams and still didnt get MVG because the teacher thought I was lazy, they were greeted by class introductions like "if you come to class, you get G. If you participate you get VG, and if you do it fairly well then you'll get an MVG".

This song goes out to a very special woman, if she can really be called a woman, or actually be considered female for any practical purpouse at all. Anyway, we know it must be rough to be a lady in a mans world. Hell, you're the ONLY lady in a mans world, thats even rougher.. well, anyway, here's Picninc Of Love I want to go by the river And put a blanket on the grass I'll pour my heart and soul Into your wine glass I'll kiss you for an appetizer And love you for the meal Then I'll ask for your hand in marriage As I look up lovingly and kneel I wanna take you on a picnic A picnic of love under the blue sky above Love, Love, Love Even the ants and the squirrels They can tell we're in love My heart soars like The wing of a dove We'll take a walk Through the forests and the trees And then we'll lie down With the birds and the bees I wanna take you on a picnic A picnic of love under the blue sky above Love, Love, Love

Well, private schools do better because of two simple facts: 1. They can afford elite teachers and the latest in educational material 2. The stupid white trash and immigrants who bring down the GPA of public schools cant afford private schooling ...and private schools are also known for being far more generous with handing out top grades than public schools.

Terrorists attack tourists in Cairo.
Kaftan Barlast replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Way Off-Topic
Dear infidels and american pigdogs! We in the Al-quaida have long lacked a catchy title for our quest of global jihad. We have therefore hired the best PR firms in Riyadh to come up with our new goal for 2005's terror season "The War Against Torrorourism" I like it very much, personally I think it has a nice ring to it. Anyway, we will now brutally machinegun any infidel caught wearing an acapulco shirt near sacred islamic ground. Thankyou. -
Ah she's a Vampire, they're all dubious hypocrites. It was probably her that lured Lady D into this new outfit because she was envious of D's enourmous... talents
-
Looked through a back issue today and found the part where Lady D tries out her new pants and sports bra that lasted her only 4 issues before being discarded for the usual textile minimalism. (and yes, this is from her New York days as no-longer-undead) This sudden plethora of clothing upon her usually so scantily covered body is as mystifying as it was shortlived. (Note the blatant disregard for rule 8.3 & 9 "No outright buttocks shots" " The page before also featured a stunning dual-crotch shot panel)

But what is even more awesome and totally sweet is that Ive managed to get my greedy little hands on the first three seasons of the original animated series! Its just bad that my mind fractures every time I hear that brutally out-of-key guitar part in the theme song. SERIOUSLY, am I the only one who has noticed?! You dont need to be a musician to hear that its completely f*cked up..

Yup, just like Lucifer, Belsebub and the rest... not very imaginative if you ask me. -
Education is a mess everywhere, show me a country that doesnt have severe problems with the educational system and I will be happy for them. But my #1 gripe with schooling today is that they're not teaching kids anything anymore(if they ever did), its just a big game where you have play along and score high on the tests so you can proceed to the next level. We've known now for almost 60 years that the classic "you have until friday to memorize this data, when you will be tested" method of schooling is only useful for about 10% of students, the rest just play along, learning nothing in the long run. The problem is that we lack funds and teachers with the skills to apply the alternate methods we so desperatly need, so the old system still stands. Ive forgotten around 95% of what I learned in my twelve years in basic school, thats not a very effective system is it?

Im at the end battle with Mr. Mephisto(crappy name) and I did notice one thing that is alignment based, your true name changes. Not that it matters but its fun to have a good PC whose real name is something along the line of: Bzaaaarkhggflertakg The Cruel, scourge of the nine hells -
Id like to raise a small flag of warning for Gothic 2(I havent played the first one) that the story is very generic, you cant create your own character and there is no party so no deeper NPC interaction.

Terrorists attack tourists in Cairo.
Kaftan Barlast replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Way Off-Topic
Egypt is the cradle of Islamic extremist terrorism, its where both Sayid Qutf(creator of the idea of the wests moral decay "jahelia" and the holy war that must be fought against it) and Al-Quaida founder Ayman Al-Zawahiri comes from and spread their teachings. Egypt and Saudi Arabia are major powerbases for Islamic extremism. But as for terrorism, its far from the scourge of the modern that certain people in Washington like to portray. You're a million times more likely to get injured or die from a traffic accident. And as Volo said, people die all the time, nothing new about that. ..but terrorism shure makes great discussion material :D -
