Well, normalmapping makes for damn fine eye-candy and I really like that :D But could they have used it the same way in FarCry and Hl2, those engines werent built to handle that kind of rendering pressure, were they?

No mass shifting is a wonderful rule, they should have used it from the beginning of G1. Megatron as a flying giant gun would be feasible since thats what Shockwave is and he works, but Im happy with a tank(isnt his Dreanmwave War Within form a tank?)

There's a special cheat that lets you play the game as Revan, all you need to do is have KoTOR 1 installed, then open up a DOS prompt and type "format c:" and press enter, this will let you access this special function. ..although you should have a clear undesrtanding of DOS commands before attmepting this operation :D

I think 10 years is a very probable time for K3 to make its way out, if it ever gets taken up again. And if, against all odds, LA will allow someone to begin development of it- they're most likely to start a new storyline where neither revan or the exile will be of any consequence whatsoever.

I wasnt very impressed with the maps you can play in the Demo, pretty standard stuff, although it shure beats Doom3's endless corridor crawls. I just played FarCRy at top settings, you notice some weird things like how an enemy soildier has a standard body texture but suddenly some little detail like a strap has a really detailed bumpmap and material. What Ive seen of Unreal3 looks very much like a further advancement of what what done in the Doom3 engine. Itll be really interesting to see.

You should have just told her you had the flu, dumbass. I stand firm in my hatred of Harry Potter fans. In the collective thing I used to live in we had this girl(not hot, and she had ADHD = spaz ohoy) who was a total HP fan, she had the creepiest circle of friends ever, from 40yearold(definently not hot) ex-poodle rock groupies women to the most nerdy 14yearolds Ive ever seen. They had this secret HP club that had like camps where everyone went and pretended they were at hogwarts... but I think it was just a cover for the pedophilia performed by the elder HP fans upon the younger.

The engine that impressed me the most was Doom 3(except for the boring gameplay). Alot of it its probably due to IDs talented modelers but they way they use the realtime shaders with bumpmapping and so on is really amazing, especially on the character models. Hl2's source just feels like a hopped up version of their original engine(which wasnt original) which explains the high FPS. I took a close look at the details and alot of it is just basic low-poly a la late 90's with hi-res textures on it. The physics are nice though, but they dont really matter in an FPS. I havent been able to install FarCry on the new comp(I played it with a 9700) so I cant really say anything until Ive reallty scrutinized it.
