  1. OR, we might just get a disappointing nothing until the "real" countdown ends. Either way, we can do nothing but kick back, grab a beer or twelve and see what happens :D Yeah, I suppose so. We'll know eventually when it happens sometime tomorrow. Also, this countdown reminds me of Pillars 1 countdown and it smells like kickstarter campaign.
  2. Mine shows 19 hours to go. I'm in eastern european time zone (Athens etc). Can't tell how this works but I know tomorrow morning I get to see the reveal
  3. Well, then just keep in mind in less than 22 hours they'll reveal it. Not that we didn't know it anyway - clock not really needed
  4. What about a Cadillacs and Dinosaurs post-apocalyptic rpg? That'll be cool.
  5. Scroll a bit down and you'll see itunderneath the teaser picture. You can't miss it.
  6. Tbh I don't see Pillars as high fantasy. Just fantasy. Middle fantasy, maybe?... For me high fantasy is the japanese style or the old heroes of might and magic stuff. Magical creatures all over the place, good kings and evil lords etc.
  7. Yes... Moone Downcrown, the moon godlike priest from the White that Wends. She's good but I'd hope for the other companion. Hope is the one they'll reveal tomorrow. One can hope, no?
  8. Y' all keep saying this is a faction; I'm telling you is Trius Wayves the third and best new companion, a companion we'll remeber 15 yars from now as one of the "classic" among Yoshimo and Oghren.
  9. Trius Wayves' first name is also a hint that we'll get a reveal in three days. I already love this companion.
  10. Did they actually say that they wanted to do a Pathfinder cRPG? [speculation hat] What if the mystery Unreal Engine project is a spiritual successor to NWN2, but set in the Pathfinder universe? [/speculation hat] Well, isn't Pillars a spiritual successor to NWN2 too? I mean NWN2 is the continuation of the party-based isometric DnD games IE games used to be. Why would they make a new game that is similar with Pillars but in different engine? Nah,I believe it'll be something else (though it might be in the Pathfinder universe). Maybe a turn-based more tactical game or an action rpg (1st person or 3rd person). Not really. When the PoE kickstarter began they mentioned BG 1 and 2, IWD 1 & 2, and PST. Isometric, pretenders backgrounds, and 6 man parties. The NWN games were more about the toilet than anything, and a PoE type of game wouldn't allow such a powerful toilet. Well yea, they mentioned the old IE games but NWN are successors to those games and to be honest they don't have that much differences other than the engine. They feel mostly the same (especially NWN 2). So why make a fantasy party-based rpg when they already made 2 like those and they're going for their third? Not that I'd object, but we have plenty of those now; I'd like to see something new.
  11. Today's symbol pretty much confirms Trius Wayves will be among the new companions. I hoped they'd include him. Great!

  13. Well I guess Tyranny will get a sequel for sure. The game had too much success for what it was and the ending signifies a new begining after all.
  14. I love its detail! Man, I so hope we'll get an official world map or at least a big portion of it this time.
  15. Well noone can explude the possibility of Bethesda commissioning a Fallout game to Obsidian but there's nothing confirming this anywhere; neither by Obsidian nor by Bethesda. So at least for the near future I don't believe we'll be seeing an Obsidian Fallout. Unfortunately, since Bethesda totally screwd Fallout 4 up, imo. Not that I expected it to be great, Bethesda is bad when it comes to roleplay, a feature Fallouts are supposed to be mostly about, but I didn't expect I couldn't bare it after less than 10 hours of gameplay :/
  16. New Vailian companion Scalia Astera confirmed. I like her more than yesterday's Kanonn Feesh.
  17. I guess this teaser's line is from our newest new companion Scalia Astera from the Vailian Republics.
  18. Not sure if we will get whole map any time soon. As long as there is no horizon there will always be place for another continent for another sequel Well we could get at least a "half" world map containing the places we already know from game lore: Aedyr, Living Lands, Rauatai, Ixamitl, Raedceras, Dyrwood, Eir Glanfath, White March, Vailian Republics, Old Vailia, Deadfire Archipelago, White that Wends - quite a few, no? It would be nice. WoW had a world map in vanilla. It didn't stop Blizzard from adding stuff in the expansions...
  19. No no, its the new companion Kanonn Feesh I'm telling you! He's an Aumaua pirate holding a cannon barell underarm. Fo real.
  20. Also, something else about the Pillars 1 world map. Taken we'll be exploring the Vailian Republics in the sequel, I'd like to see the game start in the Pearl Coast, a place the Watcher didn't got the chance to explore - conclude our exploration with Dyrwood and Eir Glanfath and onwards to the new areas
  21. Now that they have their own IP (and much better than Faerun imho), after Watcher story is concluded, I'd rather see other sorts of games in Eora. A Storm of Zehir style game would be great. A dungeon crawler with not much bla-bla and branching choices, focused on exploring dungeon(s) would be geat too for me. And whatever other "spin-offs" they come out with Of course I woundn't object if they'd rather make a Pillars 3, but the world offers so much...
  22. Maybe, they could do Pillars II à la Dragon Age : Origins. (Neverwinter Nights 2, etc) All it has to do is to "feel" like it's Pillars. Still hope we'll get to visit a lot more of Eora's world. They don't have the budget for that. The Witcher 3 (which nearly bankrupted CD Prodject Red) only cost them something like 20 to 30 million because they're in Poland. In the US to make the same game, one-for-one, would shot-put the production costs into 70 to 100 million range. Even smaller 3D titles have are either foreign (Spiders games) or done way on the cheap and look it. Assuming they rake in as much from Kickstarter as last time, that's around 4 million. Even assuming they could double that with money out of their own pocket, you're not talking about high production value. At that price range the best you could hope for is to be a janky Dragon Age knockoff, and to be honest even that might setting the bar too high. To be fair, Witcher 3 cost around 75,000,000 us dollars not just 20-30. But yeah, 4 mil compared to 75 mil is nothing, although I believe they're gonna have a larger budget this time, especially if Paradox is involved again. From a tease by Josh Sawyer (the Testacles shot) I think it seemed a lot like the 1st one. No 3D environment.
