I was indoctrinated into the world of golf when I was 15. I'm actually pretty good I just don't have the drive <groan> to play it competatively. Considering I'd die of boredom just walking the same distance as a golf game it's good exercise which I otherwise wouldnt do. I also play tennis and badminton with my wife (when she's not pregnent that is).

The platform bits annoyed me (ruined my rating too).Loved the combat though probably because I was good at it :D -
By wrestling I assume your refering to the American variety rather than wrestling in general. I dont think you could consider anything that scripted to be a sport.
-
Have you ever played golf ? It might not look particularly "active" but the stress it puts your body certainly makes it physical (as well as the walk around the 18 , unless you ride of course:) )

WoW is flavour of the month right now.

Freeloaders people who abuse the system simply because they can. As for sources, not really bothered enough to look them up. The government spend a lot of money looking into these sorts of things. As I said some people fail simply because they don't try. No sympathy for them don't see why I should subsidise their laziness. Do I care for others ? Family , friends of course. People in general, to a point. Although not to a point where I would happily surrender 50% of my income. Most countries "hate" the poor as long as they are being honest. Although hate is a strong word, resentment of the poor and the fact that your paying to support them with high taxes isnt something that most people actually like. They may pay the taxes grudingly (not like they have a choice). I could tell you a really good story about tax evasion. I wouldnt claim to be a humanitarian. I dont really value human life anymore than I do any other life. In fact I get constantly bothered by certain charities for donating large ammounts of money to the RSPCA rather to their what they perceive as more "worthy" causes. If I wasnt being polite my reply would end in off. The very fact that I pay my taxes pretty much means I've done my bit. If the government are too incopetant to spend the money wisely thats not really my fault.

Moose does have a point. There isnt a way that I can see of how you could test ID in a scientific manner. Which would seem a pretty important consideration if you wanted to teach it as a science. -
Nothing beats bounce for hypnotic qualities.

Try using highlight markers of different colours. Even if it dosnt work you will have really colourful notes. Theres also a little trick which some people like to use. When your doing your test stare at something the same colour as the marker and it might help you remember what you highlighted in that particular colour.

Ah but what Fifa matches we shall have :D Only if you pay for it. Which I would do if the FFXI subscription was included.

I know a couple of people who have. I also know a couple of places that havnt sold their allocation on pre order. If the pattern holds the 360 will be much more popular in America than in either Europe or Japan. And since I live in the UK this seems to be the case at the moment. I think Hades said he ordered one. Although I may have missread and he may just intend to get one.

Spend enough time here and you will eventually pick up touch typing without even realising. Along with being able to type really fast. Unfortunately my message board typing dosnt actually work in the real world so I end up typing really slowly. Although I can still type without looking which is rather handy.

Should be out within about six months then. They said they dont step up the hype campaign until the game is about 6 six months from completion. -

Freud also said that religion was born of the desire of a need for a "father" figure. Although you could expand that to parental figure. The reason gods are both benevolent and vengeful is that the psyche could not cope with a completely benevolent "parent" I think there is a lot of truth in that. As a child you look to your parents for comfort, but as an adult there is no one to look to unless you create them. I could go on and say lots of controversial things but I wont :D You are also conditioned to obey the parent (and are rewarded when you do so) and are punished when you do not. Religious figures (deities) will also invariably have traits that would be considered as good in a particular society (as well as the inevitable outcast(s) on whom you blame all the bad stuff). I was wondering that too, hence the thread title. Although after much reading I still havnt seen anything that could be regarded as proof , or even evidence. -

I was refering to the Panda's traits rather than appearence. As I understand it despite being odd the platypus does rather well. On the other hand with a panda you have. 1. A vegertarian bear 2. A very specialised diet 3. Mothers commonly give birth to twins but choose which baby lives and which dies (not a particularly effective survival mechanism). 4. Young that are born before they are fully formed (which leads to the above). They can't even go to the toilet for months without being "stimulated". (who says that trip to oolang was a waste :D). -
Lots of them. Of course I'm speaking in general about the UK here rather than the US. Since it's where I live. Should we help people who are too stupid for what reason ? If they spend their childhood and teens bunking off school can't say I have much sympathy for them I'm afraid. I think the fact that we even have a welfare system allows people to see it as a soft option. Now I'm not saying we shouldnt have one. But it should not be "free" in all cases (certainly there are some people who are totally dependent on the system for survival) many of those people could contribute to the society rather than just collecting an unemployment cheque every week. If you don't actually use public services, then your basically being used by the government to subsidise their spending. It's kind of like how I still have to pay a TV lisence even though I only watch cable (It annoys me greatly). Yep I agree with the nature nurture thing. But it still shouldnt stop people trying. Like I said the fact you have an easy out removes a lot of motivation. Oh I'd say it's likely the former. Although there is nothing inherent that stops people succeeding either. It's not like being born into royalty for example.

Wealthy people want to protect that wealth. Not really a suprise there. On the issue of fairness. You may think it's fair that everyone get the same access to services. However is it really fair that people who have worked their butts off through college/university and are still doing so pay so that others can freeload ? Now I wouldnt for an instant claim that everyone is freeloader, but there is certainly a % that uses the system. Until that is addressed (by whatever means) people are not going to be overjoyed giving up their hard earned cash to government programs.

Yeah but it's emulation. Leaving aside the having to connect to live or jump through hoops to get the files. Does anyone know how large the files actually are ? Not much point if your going to end up filling your HD with nothing but emulator files.

Saves you wasting money on an Xbox at least. You have to get the deluxe package though. Core dosnt have an BC ability at all.

Might want to check the BC list for the 360 , see if those games are on there. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardco...tygameslist.htm
