  1. Interestingly despite the 360's imminent release the PS3 is still the most anticipated console in the UK. I was chatting to someone yesterday and we both came to the conclusion that it's in everyones best interest that all three consoles remain othewise your going to be paying
  2. I'm sat at about arms length here and I can see it fine(even before you click the picture). The thing with the screenshot is , it's not as crisp as the actual screen either your not really getting the lighting effect. If you find it uncomfortable though, then by all means feel free to sell it on.
  3. Oh that reminds me of one. Not sure if it applies or not but anyway. I junctioned my favourite characters to the gills with multiple guardian forces (including Eden and Bahumet) romped through the final section. Got to the final boss and it randomly selected the characters that had nothing junctioned at all, needless to say they didnt last long. :">
  4. Don't underestimate just how effective the screen is. It might be small, but unless you suffer from vision problems it's on par with the SP screen because of the additional clarity. Fire Emblem is very text heavy if you can play that with clarity, you can play anything.
  5. Just finished it, and considering I only rented it this afternoon and taking into account the time spent on here It is indeed very short. Although my rating reads 51% so you could hardly call it complete. While I enjoyed the mini games for a while, in the end I just wanted to get on with the plot. Very enjoyable game. But not worth the full price unless you plan on playing it to completion. The end battle is really nice too, although it's spoiled a bit by some prompts.
  6. The PS3 wont be available for a while yet. Although I'd get one of those for a couple of reasons. It has the sort of games I like to play , it has a blu ray player and DVD 9 is going to have serious space issues. As well as having a blu ray player ready for when movies are being released in that format. It's almost certain that my wife will be gifted a Japanese PS3 when the time comes. To be honest though it's the revolution that has me exited.
  7. Two more days till Pokemon XD. Gun turned out to be very entertaining, but also about the shortest game I've played. Side mission pad it out, but much like an RPG the extra's make the main plot easier when you return to it. Has potential though if they can work out the kinks for a sequel.
  8. ninja gaiden was pretty bad. The first boss was like hitting a brick wall. Not so much a difficulty curve as a vertical line. Added to that I don't get on at all with the Xbox controller (had the old version at the time) and it was an experience that boardered on hellish. Omega Weapon is a doozy in FFVIII too. Dark Aeons in FFX along with Penitance (I ignored the advice about filling in the grid first) I can across Dark Ixion during the main game and got so badly owned it wasnt funny. The king cactur without a break HP limit is insane too, although there is a trick to beating it, which I figured out after a couple of 10,000 hp super quills destroyed the party.
  9. I can't really think of one. But I'm one of those weird people who reads the manual before playing the game.
  10. Bigger than that (and there are two of them of course). As I said the mircro is designed for people who game on mobiles and want a similiar sized handheld device. Both the DS and the PSP require a large pocket. For anyone who has played a game on a phone, the screen size isnt really an issue.
  11. I wonder if this thread will still be around when I get back later.
  12. You have to admire the skill that went into making that. No harm done
  13. Thats a good question. I just wanted to point out that "American Values" were not something that arrived at the same time as the name was changed. I know. I did only say the Spanish kicked things off.
  14. I'd be insulted if someone called me a commie. They still routinely murder abortion doctors and nurses though don't they. Your part right though although it would depend on which part of America it was occuring in I suspect.
  15. Yes. Although in some cases it wasnt completely unjustified (although equally in many it was). Top of the list is hunting the Bufalo almost to extinction since it had the biggest knock on effect. Well don't forget all that happened in reality was a name change. Those early US folks were still European with the same sort of disregard for other cultures. Same thing probably would have happened in Australia if not for the more challenging wilderness. The aboriganes would kill people for trespassing (knowingly or not) on some of their more sacred sites.
  16. I'll just say EEWWWWW and leave it at that. Actually I've always rather enjoyed their version of spiritualism.
  17. Along with some comunicable diseases.
  18. If those statues are anything to go by it's the Satyr women who are pleased Although they have a thing for human women.
  19. Spanish started it as I recall.
  20. I think pan it doing fine. It's his sort of holiday now after all. Hecate probably gets off on the whole increased suicide rate and general mopiness that the holiday induces in some.
  21. Who exactly are WE ? It's funny you know. I was recently listening to a muslim saying they were fed up of all being branded as terrorists just because some muslims happened to be terrorists. Looks like your guilty of the same crime from the other direction.
  22. My point exactly, it's not an accident that these holidays just happen to coincide with major pagan festivels. Any more than the new secular version of shop till you drop (or run out of money) just happens to be at the same time as the christian version.
  23. No need to feel bad , it's not like your the only one. The holiday lost it's shine after I found out Santa Claus was made up by Coca Cola. Now I have to grapple with eaither ruining it for my kids (when they are a bit older) or lying to my kids, which is something I'd really rather not do.

  25. It means your celebrating the wrong day :D It's quite meaninful that the holiday was stolen from the pagans, same occured with easter too.
