Got the Supes nostalgia. Man of Steel was such a surprise, I sprang for the '78-'06 anthology, including the first four movies, extended cuts of I and II, plus Superman Returns from 2006 and some cartoons and what-not. I seriously thought this franchise was resting in a sepulcher, but it's not. The John Williams score for the originals is gonna feel so amazing, I can't wait. I vaguely remember Richard Pryor, but I keep confusing it with Brewster's Millions.

Ambient temperature, it's unfit for living, in the middle of the night. This storm and its heat and humidity and rain and frightening lightening. I don't understand why humans have such a small, three-degree Fahrenheit comfort zone ... what kind of evolutionary advantage is that. The answer is, it isn't. It makes people crazy. The reason world wars exist is heat. People lose their minds. I want to end it all and open the fridge and the freezer door.

Maybe, but Kana Rua's hand cannon was the second-best reason I enjoyed having him in the party. That thing is exceptional at perforating enemies in short order. I really enjoyed the sound effects and the long-range lethality. The first-best reason was his summoning.

In 2003, I was standing fifteen feet away, in the rain, from a streetside power pole struck by lightning, which severed the carrier cables, exploded the ceramic cap, set fire to the fire-proofed wood pole, electrified the chain-link fence surrounding the back yard, singeing dog Bruce's black and tan coat, blacking out the power to the neighborhood for hours upon hours until the fire department, police department, and cable company descended on the scene, in the dark, to remedy the situation, inconveniently directly overhead my vehicle parked in the street. Since then, I've developed a low, low, very low opinion of lightning. This morning ... an unannounced, recalcitrant, bastardized tropical storm invaded my living space again, as I was sleeping, replete with lightning, thunder, rain, incredibly loud noises reminiscent of '03. My opinion remains negative. On the literally bright side, today saw the 41st pride parade downtown, including marching-in-rain luminaries such as the mayor of San Diego, city councilmen, and our female Chief of Police. Thought that was cool.

I think mine was closer to a mix between Hogan's Heroes and Hee Haw. Probably the world doesn't need a show like that, but I do appreciate those who gave up so much. The Tennessee incident has me in shreds. Sorry, okay, happy time, Sherlock Season Three came yesterday on blu-ray, can't wait to re-watch.

Until today, I underestimated the value of a well-timed chicken caesar salad. I also learned smoked cheddar is an abomination. Not really, I could take it or leave it though, the smoke flavor tastes exactly like smoke, applewood or no.

I should move back to the mountains I guess. I know SF is capable of 9.0, LA has a big one underneath, and there's a Canary Island(?) with an imminent landslide that will inundate the East Coast. No, the mountains won't work. The Yellowstone caldera is also late for eruption, if I remember the average is 600k years and the last was 640K years ago.

He is numbingly authentic in Requiem, Jared has natural breadth and chops out the wazoo, I can see why he's next in line after Heath. Will is cool, I hope he quashes his Bad Boys MIB thing. I don't see why not.

Seems unlikely. 1.6M might be a stretch, let alone 1.9. I expect to enjoy it regardless. If not, I'll play Hardcore and then uninstall just to make a statement.
