  1. I have a trade book that says Natasha was born in '28, later injected with similarly secret super soldier serum powers as Captain America. I choose to believe in this reality, but if the modern MCU ignores it ... then I'll capitulate, but wouldn't it be cool if they did. That would mean she is only ten years younger than Steve and practically twice as badass. Wait, she can almost go toe to toe with Steve and the Winter Soldier who are both enhanced people despite being a regular person, and somehow you think she would be more badass if she was enhanced the whole time? I can see why you misinterpret Bruce often. No, not more badass--she already must work twice as hard without a shield or metal arm. It would be that much more interesting, to me, if Natasha were enhanced the whole time and chose not to reveal it or employ it fully, for example in her battle with Winter Soldier.

  3. This new salad venture is turning out just fine. Tonight it's something called caprese ... arugula--which I think is Italian for green grass--and mozzarella balls, plus mini-tomatoes so plump I cannot pierce them with a fork, topped with a delightful vinega-- vinniregret-- vinaigrette dressing.
  4. Back to the chocolate porter by Hangar 24, from Redlands, CA. I used to think it was more of a sipping beer, but it can be slurped easily. 8/10
  5. Looks unique, possibly lovely, and I have nothing against eastern Europe, the Brno Circuit is a world class racetrack, but I tend toward more central-Euro or American. I really didn't enjoy any of the Witcher games. That two-tone scheme is super pretty though.
  6. I was bummed, I couldn't figure out how to defeat or sneak past or skirt my way through dozens of double-bladed Ubese warriors milling about the hidden base of Visquis just beyond the labyrinth of tunnels under Jekk' Jekk Tarr on Nar Shaddaa with only red-headed tight-assed Mira and her meager combat skills. Seemed hopeless, and then I was like, you know what, I don't have to look online, I can take a look, in a book, just like Reading Rainbow taught me. The bonus poster is still inside, still mint.
  7. What do you want to do with it - target shooting, concealed carry, competition shooting, do you want it to be eye candy or do you simply want a general purpose gun? I would enjoy a quality piece that looks good and is fun to clean. Breaking it down, cleaning, reassembly ... very relaxing. More enjoyable than shooting, I don't know why. Oh, I do know why. Because shooting introduces carbon that needs cleaning. Every round ... I'm like, that's gonna need some cleaning.
  8. Silly Secret Wars man you get attached to a book and some spurious summer send off couched as a massive comic book reboot takes the love out of going to the shop every week no more Phil Noto Black Widow I'm not angry just disappointed I mean what's going to happen to Natasha I already lost Jennifer what's the point starting over with all new all different number ones if they're going kaput in twenty issues anyway dammit my eye is twitching again
  9. Wasn't going to relay the quiz because it feels sorta like a horoscope in veracity, but then I read the name of my Gaming Style score and thought, yes, exactly, now if only I could feel this way on the inside: Calm, Spontaneous, Relaxed, Independent, and Grounded. 51% Creativity, 30% Immersion, 20% Mastery, 15% Action, 11% Achievement, 7% Social. Sorry if repost. https://apps.quanticfoundry.com/lab/10
  10. I'd like to know, too. Also why are single companies referred to in the plural. 'Bethesda face an uphill battle convincing nincompoops Fallout 4 will be orders above what Obsidian have done'. And, in hospital. 'Have you seen Jane? No, she's in hospital with an eye infection. Oh, I thought she was on holiday. No, turns out she got her maths wrong while walking to the ministry of boffins.'
  11. That's what I got, the blu-ray. I haven't heard of DVD decay ... what happened exactly.
  12. y u no have arm bith
  13. Oh it's on like Krypton tonight. After Ninja Warrior, I mean.
  14. Same guy who bemoaned covering e-sports as a waste of time, or something.
  15. Sixty-five million copies, five million in the last eight months. Probably quite a few are playing. Who crapped in your Cheerios this month.
  16. I made it to the 'green swimming level', as I recall, back when the game launched, and made an honest attempt to restart last month. It didn't work out. I'm enjoying Knights II now more than ever before. KotOR, I mean, the one with D&D laser swords and killer audio design.
  17. I don't get it, is this irony, niche commentary where true Joker fans method-act heartless barbs into dead artists.
  18. Without priorities, the earth wouldn't turn. Supes and Gruff McBat available now, WW and Batgirl in September.
  19. Okay, great, now I can add completely philosophically underinformed and potentially mentally inadequate to my list of things. I swear, I once wrote a bangin' treatise on pragmatism with high marks. The professor was from Germany. Can't think of anything to add to the romance discussion, because decorum doesn't exist anymore and I feel it should be both the basis of and the antagonist for a memorable affair.
  20. I'll check the Steam forums, but I started the prologue on the Ebon Hawk, so weird, the camera angle becomes aimed at the ceiling and one of the buzzy background sound effects overpowers all else, particularly on menu screens. I'm still happy for this release, I just need to figure out what's happening that shouldn't be. Day late and dollar short edit. I'm not an idiot, I just play one in real life. Or I just forgot. If you hold the right mouse button and move the mouse forward or back, the camera moves down or up. For whatever reason, the first tool tip moves the camera toward the ceiling, but it is possible to bring it back down, on demand. Not a bug, just user error. Thank god, I'm so glad. Dumb, but glad.
  21. That seems odd, could you point me to the watercooler where that scuttlebutt originated. Or, I guess, maybe it's just odd to me, since I'm a dude for whatever reason, most of my Marvel books are female-starring ... Black Widow, Silk, Princess Leia, A-Force, She-Hulk, Angela of Asgard, Thor, Spider-Gwen if I'm honest but I'm not enjoying it nearly as much as Cindy Moon. I would literally have an aneurysm if Jennifer Walters cameos in the Civil War movie. Or Doctor Strange, or Captain Marvel, I can wait.
  22. I'm so happy to see this, it's like some kind of, force, flowing through me.
  23. People really love this game. Just saw this and became unnaturally excited and am now installing.
  24. No Romita Sr. love, are you guys hipsters. John invented Frank, I think, just sayin'.
