  1. 40 gig download, bring it. Actually, at the speed of my internet, 40 gigs would take about 5 days. No problem, I'll play the console version while I wait.
  2. IMO the idea of multi-monitor setups is to engage your peripheral vision while staring straight ahead. I would think the whole point is to move your eyes, not your head. That 4K setup looks like it was only put together because it could be.
  3. Good god I love well-spoken real-life techno-babble. Well done.
  4. That was before we learned about the next generation of consoles, hence the title of this thread. I hope they do it. I need only the slightest of excuses to buy Project Eternity again, and a PS4 port would be a delight, I'm certain. Surely the target resolution for P:E is 1080, the same as next-gen consoles, so the TV/monitor thing makes no difference. If it isn't, no problem, I read hundreds of pages of text in Skyrim on my TV. And the PS4 touchpad is both a swipe and a button, just begging to be utilized. Truly, I hope Obsidian says nay to the PC-only high-horse.
  5. Season 4 blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation today, woot! Thanks to TrekCore.com for the image. Top row is the uneven color-timing of standard definition across four episodes. Bottom row is remastered, high definition. Engage!
  6. Good lord, Far Cry 3 on the PC is glorious. FOV and draw-distance are astonishing. Some superb textures, too, along with the addictive gameplay. Even the sound design is very engaging ... "oh my god!! i'm gonna find you, ****a!" Not this time, pal. *click*
  7. Yay! Far Cry 3 for less than $20 on Uplay. Now I feel slightly less dumb for to have missed it on the Steams.
  8. I like the pomp of royal--smart uniforms, if nothing else. Kate is just wonderfully elegant, easily a match to Diana.
  9. Finally, a game that will make 14hrs of playtime feel like 45mins.
  10. ^^ Exactly, I just bought The Walking Dead. I'm intrigued at the idea of "short story video game fiction." Also I want something to substitute for The Last of Us, until I can finally play that game on a PS4.
  11. Yes! Awesome. Stand back, you mewling quim! Tom is fantastic. Chris Hardwick played the part of quim very well. Now I know why the Instagram video he tweeted stops where it does. lol
  12. The surprisingly warm reception to the unexpected premiere screening of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot episode at Comic-Con has made me super stoked for the September 24th network debut. Agent Coulsen lives!
  13. Mother of god why must everyone pre-judge out of context.
  14. Watched the latest episode of Table Top, with the lovely Jeri Ryan, the fantastic Kari Wahlgren, and the awesome Wil Wheaton. Jeri and Wil are from Voyager and The Next Generation, of course, but it wasn't until I looked her up, that I realized where I have heard Kari's amazing voice. Here's a clue:
  15. Curves, thrust, sweat and fume, massive elation ... er, hmm. +1000 XP, Syntax Skill, affective + effective in one post
  16. Wait, I just saw Craig Ferguson, a Scot, interview Sir Anthony Hopkins, whom I believed to be English, but no, turns out, a Welshman. My ancestry is from the highlands ... no wonder I can't believe the southern accent.
  17. There is no advice lesser than "slay it while you can." Do it now, often, whenever you can. Who cares if she likes Jon Stewart. Marry her.
  18. In the spirit of Comic-Con, starting tomorrow, the lovely Angela Bermudez does a brunette FemShep very, very well.
  19. Whatever you do, don't propose. He'll need the Amulet of Mara for that, silly.
  20. The ultimate felony vehicle. Murder van, for short. I appreciate a good receiver, and I can still disassemble an A2 in my mind, from as far back as 1990, but I think neutrality goes a long way, these days. So, heads.
  21. Oh, but The Life More Manly doth aspire to us.
  22. New word: underailment. Means two things, one, you're feeling sick, or two, the act of returning a thread to its OP. I have not played Dishonored, but I have played the balls out of Skyrim, and there is a new nexus mod that gives your Skyrim character the powers from Dishonored, including teleportation and slowing time. And the army of rats thing, too. Can be done by quest or console command. Now I kinda regret not buying DH for $10 on Steam ...
  23. I think it's based more on how at the time the Mormon Prophet "discovered" those extra Commandments under his field and formed his wacky cult. That's how it was generally perceived by a lot of people of the time. One of those crazy nutjob things. Just like Scientology gets viewed by a lot of folks now. Not to have a crack at Mormons. I've known a few and they're quite devout and sincere in their belief and they generally don't try brainwashing and abusing folks in that manner. It's just that shift brought about by time. What society at large in one time frame perceives as a crazy, minor cult... Come back a few decades/centuries on and it's an expansive and non-crazy world religion. Just like Christianity after Constantine decided to back it... If it hadn't expanded into the Roman Empire's state religion and sank hooks into the political movers and shakers, would it have become what it has? One of the reasons its always hard to split religion and politics. Where influence and power goes... You are amazingly astute, for not having grown up in mormonism, unfortunately as I did. The power of money and politics is quite far-reaching in Salt Lake City, measured in millions and even billions, when considering all of their "holdings." The real tragedy, however, is the vast gulf between how the church actually started, and the history it tells the members. Oh, and the disintegration of families, from within and without, due to an unreal foundation.
