  1. Confirmed. It’s actually pretty annoying. EDIT: come to think of it—sometimes the pop-ups actually open at the very bottom of the screen, almost entirely out of it. I can see enough of the to drag them up. I’m playing at 2560x1440 if that makes a difference.
  2. Did you feel PoE1 was forcing you to dump stats to 3 to powergame? The lowest I’ve gone myself is 6 or 7 and my characters were pretty powerful. In the latest beta build, the removal of Healing from MIG, along with a couple other changes, turned my build of choice from a powerhouse to a barely viable character—and that’s with 10 as a minimum score. Fun times!
  3. Min-maxing isn’t evil and should not be prevented, “combated”, or discouraged. It’s a play style like any other and some people, including me, enjoy it. Playing a character with a mixed bag of average stats isn’t my idea of fun.
  4. Yeah, unfortunately they had to shelve trinkets for other classes. Hopefully in the expansion...
  5. Thank you; I’ll echo the sentiment that it is too loud.
  6. By the same token, you shouldn’t be able to increase your AR instantly, or increase your stats instantly, etc.. That’s not a very good argument Summoned Weapons should be as fast as self-buffs (0.5/0.0); anything longer and using a regular weapon is straight-up better, if nothing else because I don’t need to waste a spell pick on it and I don’t risk losing it to interruption.
  7. Seems to be UI-only, though—possibly a side effect of making Weapon Focus display all the time. In combat attack rolls appear to be fine.
  8. I disagree. 0 recovery was fun and certainly not inherently wrong. There goes a huge chunk of my play style...
  9. 1. Start a new game. 2. Make sure you take "Prayer for the Spirit" as one of your Priest's spells at level up. 3. Leave Tikawara and head toward the north-east of the isle, where the encounter against the dank spores is. 4. Wait for one of your party members to be Charmed. 5. Try to counter the Charm with "Prayer for the Spirit", which bestows "Smart", an Intellect Inspiration (should counter Charm, which is an Intellect Affliction.) 6. Observe that you cannot target Charmed party members with the spell. I doubt this is intended as it goes against the whole "Inspirations counter Afflictions and vice versa" concept that has been advertised as a thing in Deadfire.
  10. One more, this one in the first level of the Poko Kohara dungeon: In 1. the trap overlay is superimposed over my character, which looks mightily odd. My character should probably partially cover the overlay with his body. Similarly, in 2. the round stone table structure should partially cover the trap overlay, as the trap is lying on the ground and not, in fact, partly on the table-like structure.
  11. Pretty lame, I know, but if I set a hotkey by mistake how I can remove it?
  12. This screenshot was taken in the temple ruins on the new uncharted island that was added with the latest beta update. Upon reaching the final room to the far left, you can see the mist extending beyond the square border of the screen: This other screenshot is taken outside of the Poko Kohara ruins, where you can interact with the soul of some of Vektor's former crew members. Notice how there appears to be a cyan rectangle on the scene; I put in arrows to indicate its most evident borders (hopefully the screenshot does this justice; in-game it is pretty evident):
  13. I've just noticed the same issue with the Desert Wurm Hatchling: No icon and inconsistent description of its effects. Figured I'd bump this for visibility.
  14. The latest beta updated introduced a new uncharted island. The following scripted interaction takes place on that island, right before the encounter with the specters. Notice how the letter "e" is partly cut:
  15. Indeed, although with his proposed system only the most powerful spells would have a 6s casting time. They could be made powerful enough to be worth it. The only thing is, I don't think a 6s spell should ever have longer recovery than 1.5s—and even that would be pretty long, considering how much you've waited (and risked) throughout the casting animation. EDIT: I prefer suggestion v2, by the way. 4s is loooooong.
  16. I'm surprised not find this already reported as it was present in the previous beta build as well; figured it would be fixed in the first update. The calculation breakdown for damage in the inventory screen doesn't work and always only show "=0":
  17. As of the latest beta, it looks like the Accuracy bonus from the Paladin ability "Sword Rival" is constantly computed in your Accuracy tooltip. This screenshot was taken out of combat:
  18. "Unsually" should be "Unusually" "A" should be "An" In the following racial trait description, the word "history" is hyperlinked even though it clearly does not refer to the in-game mechanic: Likewise the word "food" in this conversation: Not sure whether this can be helped, but I figured I'd point it out. "+125%" is inaccurate; It's either "125%" or "+25%"
  19. Agree with everything in MaxQuest's post
  20. Unsurprisingly, I second the request to make summoned weapons have instant casting time. They're not worth it otherwise.
  21. I choose my MC in much the same way, with the caveat that I hate romances in RPGs and tend to avoid them regardless.
  22. To think the whole thing, as far as the beta is concerned, stemmed from a thread where we (rightfully) complained about RES’s being useless. Nobody in that thread complained about MIG; RES was the only stat in need of a buff. The change to STR was not the way to go about it.
  23. Should we make this a sticky so people easily find it and may keep adding feature requests? I figure it’d be more convenient to have all UI requests in one place.
