The biggest puzzle in Tomb Raider Legend was working out the horrible camera

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite This one game made my PSP purchase worth it, and still keeps going. 300+ hours on that thing. My biggest complaint is that if a battle gets too tense, I just know that I'll get this quick stinging pain in my hands when I let go of the console. It's like sorcery, the horrible grip I need to use in that game only starts hurting after I stop

Late '09? Seems pretty much the norm, though a discount would not hurt at all. I'll grab it if it goes -66%, my gaming budget for this sale is 19€ so CoP wouldn't eat the majority of it at that point. Wazzat? Did I say my budget was 4€ and wasn't going to increase it... well... I guess I had to eat my own words. It's just that even with the normal sales, many of my wishlist games got heavily discounted. Too attractive deals

But c'mon, I got a free chance to first-hand experience the one game that almost had Bioware's reputation flipped-turned upside down. And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'd tell you how I became the champion of a town called Kirkwall

Dragon Age 2... ... or I WOULD if the game didn't spend 2 minutes loading each 10 second line of dialog on my PS3. I played a whole session of Demon's Souls after that to make sure that my PS3 wasn't dying, and sure enough, it wasn't. Cleared world 1-1 without a single technical issue Then, I uninstalled DA2, cleaned the disc, reinstalled the game, turned off all internet, social functions, auto-saves and persistent gore, aaaaand nope, still freezes like a Broodmother****er. I am glad I didn't buy the game separately, but it came with my console. God damn thing's broken

So Fargo's a long-term planner when it comes to marketing? Because I distinctly remember him not having many nice things to say about publishers even before Hunted: Demon's Forge was out

Wait... did you just buy Tier 3 cultural armor? That's insane, no way should you pay that much gold for some rares with a nice skin!!! ...though I am a bit jelly.

I only have 4€ on my Paypal (and don't intend to add any more), which still might be enough to grab a title or two Last summer they also had Frozen Synapse 90% off for 15 minutes before changing to 80%. I bought 2 copies

Welcome to the new area just added to Guild Wars 2 today, the Labyrinthine Cliffs! This is the lowest area, and the dock from which you start your climb up Here's a picture halfway up the Bazaar of the Four Winds. It feels so Canthan that I can't help feeling nostalgic for Guild Wars Factions Now this is a bloody airship, the Zephyr Sanctum Found some diving goggles at the top of the ship. You can guess that I jumped immediately after Yup, that is most certainly a race track. Filled with Mario Kart-esque power-ups and all. Sanctum Sprint And look at this, achievement points are bloody finally worth something! With later chests you get weapon skins that are only available through achievement hunting

Oh my, he's already hit the Oculus Rift stretch goal. Nice.

Fixed that for ya

Because I bought the Wadjet Eye collection, I'm now playing a bunch of adventure games. Just finished Blackwell Unbound, the second episode of the series. I liked this slightly better than Blackwell Legacy, maybe because I didn't feel like I was brute-forcing solutions nearly as much as in that game. Heck, I had to check up Gamefaqs for that game because I didn't know what the heck I was supposed to do with that pill. It's a short game, though I'm not complaining because it cost me less than an euro, and the game has developers' commentary, which to me is the BEST type of extra a game can have. The voice acting was still rather hit&miss, and the game really likes to throw you out of conversations, even if the person you're talking to still has clues to reveal.

It's not quite as good as the second (or third, don't remember) day when they had all these discounts, plus more titles 50% off. Though kudos to GOG for making a last sale day like this, I was kind of pondering if I should buy the Wadjet Eye selection or buy some other single title, but now after sleeping on it, I chose to grab it

Frozen Synapse. Though more like "What are you panicking about?" because that game is full of moments when you click to confirm the end of your turn, but at that moment you realize you forgot to take into account that your otherwise awesomely position shotgunner can be easily sniped from one of the 3-4 windows in the room, and then next turn you end up having 1 less unit in your possession. My nerves can't handle a 5vs13 match, aagh. Managed to win it though somehow. The game somehow gets easier when you start running out of troops, because then AI offense becomes more concentrated and predictable

So I guess it's time to shake off your dirty Swedish heritage and move to Finland, as Xbones are nowhere to be seen on top lists of our retailers from the handful of big chains I've seen

If Mattrick brought life to the Harry Potter movie license games, them he also raised them pretty promisingly until the kid was just about old enough to read, then started sprinkling crack cocaine on all of its meals, and now he's homeless, jerking off people in street corners for $60 bucks a pop. The first one or two games weren't half bad, I almost feel nostalgia for the first action adventure platformer. Dunno what to say about to rest, except "Harry Potter cover-shooter, really?"

Darkspore is now broken indefinitely due to encountering a gamebreaking bug relating to its always-online DRM and not having any developers working on the game anymore It begins

More Dragon Age Origins, dealt with Flemmeth at the cost of many a healing item and Lyrium potion. Also, spent the last hour and a half trying to download the DLC that comes with every new copy, but someone either at Valve or EA made it stupidly complicated to get that content. Don't have the choice of downloading it at BSN site either, agh. **** it, I'm not messing with registries, folders, services and file integrities anymore

Why not just buy purple paint and be done with it? Or does it wash away too easily?

I loved the hardcore mode community in Sacred 1. Going into a hub felt like walking into adventurers' camp where they share stories and loot by the fire

Juggling between Dragon Age: Origins and Lost Planet 2 Lost Planet 2 is more fun than I expected. The co-op is really funny when you've got blowback friendly-fire, and it just so much fun to kill giant monsters and ride mechs in a game that feels so focused on its mechanics and Monster Hunter-esque silliness. I'm actually replaying the campaign after finishing it! That barely ever happens And speaking of DA:O, just finished the Mage's Tower portion and whoa, that was some vanilla NWN2 levels of tedious combat. The boss fights were kinda fun admittedly. Out of the handful of characters I've met already, I probably like Flemeth the most. She had a very distinct personality and funny lines while not staying around too long to start treading the same ground. Yes Morrigan, you think Alistair is dumb, we get it. You're still an interesting twist on the whole "person who's ever only known one of their family members in their entire life" backstory though.

I still remember rolling my eyes at that graph the first time I saw it.

Not to mention that Microsoft didn't really advertise that feature at any point, and their initial explanation of borrowing one's game with a friend wasn't exactly convenient The Pastebin is not very credible source, but it does explain a lot of "mistakes" on Microsoft's part
-
If this pastebin is correct, it was always presented wrongly as something worth giving away offline gaming and free resale:

Dragon Age III / The Witcher 3 trailers. Impressions?
Nordicus replied to Rahelron's topic in Computer and Console
You were all so elated at the victory, if only briefly. Without a common foe, the coalition began to... disintegrate. Aah, times have changed. Where is the old alliance, what have you done with your victory?
